Film
- Austin Powers: Austin's line "It's my happening, baby, and it freaks me out!" is a modified version of Z-Man's famous line "This is my happening and it freaks me out!"
- The Neon Demon: Beyond had a big influence on this movie, as Nicolas Winding Refn had Elle Fanning watch it as preparation for her role. The scene where a sleeping woman gets a knife put in her mouth until she wakes up is a reference to the way Z-Man kills Roxanne.
- Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Big Bad Gideon Graves is a successful, megalomaniacal music producer also known as G-Man, a shout-out to Z-Man.
Music
- The Murderdolls titled one of their albums Beyond The Valley of the Murderdolls.
- The Pipettes' video for "Pull Shapes" is an extremely faithful recreation of the first party scene, with The Pipettes themselves in the place of the Carrie Nations.
Western Animation
- Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated: Episode 7 "Fear of the Phantom" deals with an alt-rock female trio and their eccentric producer Gus Boggs a.k.a. G-Man, who looks exactly like Z-Man and likewise speaks with pseudo-Shakespearean affectations (which the Scooby gang can't always parse out).
- An episode of Sonic Boom is titled "Beyond the Valley of the Cubots". It would later receive a Sequel Episode titled "Return to Beyond the Valley of the Cubots".
