  • The Big Bang Theory: Starbuck is the star of Howard's sexual fantasies. Her actress appeared Adam Westing in one episode.
  • Bionic Woman. In "Paradise Lost" Jaime walks into a house which has Battlestar Galactica showing on television. The short-lived series was launched by David Eick and had several BG actors in it.
  • The CSI episode "A Space Oddity" parodied the controversy over the differences between the reboot and original Battlestar Galactica, with the murder, at an SF convention, of the showrunner of a controversial Darker and Edgier revival of a beloved old space opera show. Although the fictional series, Astro Quest, was more of a Star Trek parody, the BSG comparison was made clear by Ronald D. Moore and Grace Park both appearing in cameos as fans.
  • The series Extant features "Humanichs" (human robots), one of which is looks like a child and controversy goes to school, one of the concerned parents yells that Ethan isn't a kid, he's "a toaster with hair".
  • Longmire: Katee Sackhoff plays Deputy Vic Moretti, a tough female cop. In the episode "Party's Over", she challenges a suspect who is a woman MMA fighter to a round for no apparent reason, and gets pounded on, referencing Starbuck's famous boxing scene in "Unfinished Business".
  • The Magicians mentions it in a coded conversation, explicitly referencing Boomer's sleeper agent plot and poking fun at the show's terrorism allegories.
  • Dwight Schrute of The Office (US) is a fan of BSG. At one point, his Sitcom Archnemesis Jim began to deliberately Cowboy BeBop at His Computer the show in order to get under Dwight's skin for a prank.
  • Veronica Mars: In the third season premiere, "Welcome Wagon", Veronica helps Piz when his belongings get stolen. When Piz explains this to Moe, his resident advisor, Moe responds, "Frak, that blows." Neither Piz nor Veronica know what he's talking about.

Video Games

  • Civilization: Beyond Earth:
    • The achievement for achieving maximum level in Purity is "So Say We All".
    • There's the achievement "Cylon Computer Virus" for winning a multiplayer game.
  • Mass Effect:
    • The Morning War between the Quarians and the Geth is a direct parallel with the Cylon attack in the miniseries, only more justified as it turned out.
    • If the Synthesis Ending is chosen, EDI opens her ending monologue with "I am alive!''

Western Animation

  • Robot Chicken: One sketch parodied the use of the Unusual Euphemism "frak", to which an FCC censor ironically asked his partner "What the fuck are they saying?".

Webcomics

  • In Narbonic, after Helen creates a clone of Dave with his memories from six years before, Mell, after telling him the truth, tells him that he "can quit filling out those 'Bring back Battlestar Galactica' petitions."
