- South Park: In the season 5 episode "Kenny Dies", Cartman is trying to convince the US government to lift its ban on stem cell research. How does he do this? By getting the entire room to sing "Heat of the Moment" together.
- The Venture Bros.: The episode "Perchance to Dean" features a scene where Dr. Venture is about to introduce his son Dean to his progressive rock collection. He states "Normally I'd start you off with Asia or something more accessible" before picking out a Yes album for him instead.
- Family Guy: Season 8's "The Splendid Source" features a setup where Peter Griffin's voiceover narration says that REO Speedwagon's "Time For Me to Fly" is about to play. This prompts a smash cut to Kevin Cronin pleading not to do it, saying the royalties for such a joke would go to his ex-wife. Then John Payne enters the frame, excitedly asking "Can you play our song?", to which Peter replies "Okay, lead singer from Asia". Cue 7 seconds of "Only Time Will Tell" as Payne dances to it.
