Recap / Yu Gi Oh VRAINS Ep 83 Irregular Meeting

Go To

Revolver contacted Playmaker and told him that he wants to talk to him. Playmaker and his allies head to the designated meeting location. There, they learn that Revolver wants them to team up with him. However, Soulburner, who was deeply traumatized by the Hanoi Project 10 years ago, then lashes out at Revolver.

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • The Bus Came Back: After a long absence, both Frog and Pigeon finally reappear in this episode.
  • Captain Obvious: Brave Max makes a more than useless observation involving the contents of a trash can... which turns out to be garbage; what else did you expect?
  • Enemy Mine: Revolver proposes that Playmaker's group and the Knights of Hanoi work together to defeat the rogue Ignis. Soulburner, whose life was crippled by the Hanoi Project, will have none of it, however, and provokes Revolver into a Duel, which he accepts.
  • Hated by All: Frog and Pigeon's broadcasts since the Tower of Hanoi incident were heavily panned and significantly decreased in viewership, thanks to Brave Max and his Playmaker fanboying antics which fail to do anything to attract Playmaker's attention.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Revolver claims to understand the traumas that Soulburner endured during his time in captivity as a Lost Incident subject... but Soulburner will have none of it.
  • It's Personal: Soulburner challenges Revolver to a Duel, vowing to hold him responsible for Takeru's parents' deaths.
  • Recap Episode: The episode spends some time summarising the events that unfolded since Playmaker's Master Duel against Bohman.
