After learning about SOL Technologies's shocking plan, Blood Shepherd decided to carry out his own search for the Ignis, independent from Akira. Noticing his superb hacking skills, Revolver approaches him and suggests that they should team up to eliminate the Ignis, but...

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Armor-Piercing Question: Kengo questions Akira whether or not he intends to blindly continue obeying SOL Technologies' every word even after being informed what they really plan to do with the Ignis. Akira, however, retorts that he can only do so much as a lapdog of the organisation, and thus doesn't have what it takes to oppose them.
  • Badass Boast: Subverted. Blood Shepherd claims that he can easily eliminate Revolver on the count of three, but Revolver disappears from sight on the second count and appears behind Blood Shepherd.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Revolver effortlessly depletes all of Blood Shepherd's LP in a single turn using only "Borreload Savage Dragon" in battle, in a Duel that lasts only three turns.
  • Deliberate Injury Gambit: Invoked. Revolver only sets a single card on his first turn, and allows himself to take damage from "Battledrone Warrant", so that he can Summon "Checksum Dragon" from his hand via its own Effect.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Blood Shepherd's desire to finish off Revolver in a single turn backfires hard, oblivious to the fact that Revolver intentionally allowed himself to take damage from his opponent's attacks, so that he can execute a strategy that ensured Blood Shepherd's defeat on the third turn.
  • I Work Alone: No amount of convincing Blood Shepherd to work together with the Knights of Hanoi to terminate the Ignis will work, due to his insistence of handling things by his lonesome.
  • One-Hit Kill: Revolver uses "Borreload Savage Dragon" to deplete all of Blood Shepherd's LP in a single turn on the Duel's third turn.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: After a fast loss to Revolver, he tells Blood Shepherd that he is incapable of standing against the Link Spells that Lightning's organisation utilises in his current state, and advises Blood Shepherd that he learn from the Duel he had with Revolver.
  • The Reveal: Blood Shepherd discovers that SOL Technologies acquiring the Ignis only for profit was a farce, and that they're actually planning on creating a high-performance Ignis.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Blood Shepherd vows to get back at Revolver someday before logging out.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Blood Shepherd treats Revolver like a pushover all because the latter only Set a single card on the first turn, and without Summoning any Monsters to protect himself from direct attacks. Blood Shepherd ultimately pays the price for trying to finish off his opponent as quickly as possible, unaware that Revolver deliberately left himself open to his opponent's attacks, combined with a setup that is ready to wipe him out on the following turn.
