Chazz goes on a dueling spree at the Obelisk dorm and converts all of its students to the Society of Light, even painting the dorm white. Chazz challenges Jaden to officiate "Obelisk White" but Alexis ends up dueling Chazz to save Obelisk Blue.

This episode contains examples of the following tropes:

  • Batman Gambit: Chazz plays the card "Infernal White" to let Alexis see his entire hand (with the added benefit of damaging Alexis every turn). While this seems like a terrible play, Atticus realizes that it's a great play as it causes Alexis to focus on Chazz's cards instead of her own, demoralizing her when Chazz counters her plays.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Happens to Alexis when she loses the duel.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Chazz seemingly had little difficulty defeating numerous Obelisk Blue students, who are the top students of the academy, and was able to beat multiple students simultaneously quickly.
    • His duel against Alexis also weighed heavily in his favor as he had a counter for every play she had and won with over half his life points.
  • The Dark Side Will Make You Forget: Chazz is responsible for brainwashing the girl the real him is in love with.
  • Double Knockout: Alexis attempts to end the duel this way with "Doble Passe", which would've cause both duelists to take a lethal hit but unfortunately for Alexis, Chazz thought of a counter.
  • Downer Ending: The entirety of Obelisk Blue has been brainwashed into joining the Society and, after losing the duel, so does Alexis.
  • Not-So-Harmless Villain: Up until now, Chazz being brainwashed to serve the Society of Light has been treated more as a joke than anything. He was still a Butt-Monkey nobody took seriously and he ended up revealing the Society to Aster and how it is associated with Sartorius. That all changes here though, when Chazz starts actively brainwashing others into the Society by beating them in duels, defeating the entire Obelisk dorm, including Alexis.
  • There Is No Kill Like Overkill: Alexis is incorrect on her last turn when she comes up with 2 plans — 1 for defeating Chazz if he draws another monster, and 1 for ending in a draw if he doesn't and just attacks. Since she only had 200 life points left, all Chazz had to do to win was draw and end his turn without doing anything — then Alexis would lose when her next turn began and Infernal White caused her 600 points of damage. Chazz didn't need to attack and negate her traps to win, but he did anyway.
  • Villain Takes an Interest: After seeing tarot cards fall to the floor, Sartorius realizes that he needs to recruit Jaden if he wants to rule the world.
