With only two Locator Cards to go, Joey runs into Mako Tsunami, who also has 4 cards. They decide to duel for the right to go straight to the finals. Meanwhile, Seto Kaiba and Yami Yugi team up against two Rare Hunters, who are easily dispatched with Obelisk the Tormentor.
And in a dark alley, Yami Bakura and Marik Ishtar meet for the first time, each wanting the other's Millennium Item. The two villains form an uneasy alliance—Yami Bakura will get the Items, while Marik will get the Egyptian God Cards.

- Curb-Stomp Battle: Lumis and Umbra attempt to stall Yugi with a duel, but Kaiba quickly defeats them with Obelisk the Tormentor.
