The episode begins with a married couple, Rob and Lexi, who seem to have it all together. They have a child, a dog, a house and successful jobs - an ideal life. Their relationship is almost a parallel to Jimmy and Gretchen’s, and so Gretchen becomes obsessed with them. She spies on the couple while they are in their home, follows their nanny and holds their child in a pharmacy, and takes the couple’s dog for a day, pretending to be them and have their life.
At the end of the day, Gretchen returns the dog to Rob and Lexi and the two invite her in as a thank you. Gretchen invites Jimmy, and the two couples seem to get along really well, and Gretchen is pleased. However, when Gretchen and Rob are left alone, Rob confides in Gretchen, telling her that he is not enjoying his married life and wishes to get divorced. This leads a distressed Gretchen wanting to leave early. While they leave, and Jimmy makes fun of the couple, Gretchen started to cry.
