1996: After all the bizarre events of "Doomcoming", the girls have to deal with the aftermath of their actions during the Mushroom Samba. Misty does not take any responsibility whatsoever for poisoning group with the hallucinogenic mushrooms. After all, she meant them for the coach, and he made her fall in love with him. Javi is missing, so Travis goes off to look for him.A bear strolls up to the cabin while there are all outside without the gun (Nat and Travis took it with them). To everybody's shock, Lottie walks up to it and the big bear bows down in submission. She takes a knife and kills him.
Later, while everybody is enjoying bear for dinner, Jackie chooses the worst moment ever to be a jerk. She mocks the concept of spirits sending the bear for dinner. Then she announces to everybody that Shauna's pregnancy is the result of sleeping with Jackie's boyfriend. And... nobody cares. In return, Shauna delivers a majestic "The Reason You Suck" Speech. After a bit more of verbal combat, Jackie tells Shauna to get out. Shauna suggests that Jackie be the one. Jackie does so in a huff but struggles to keep a fire going. Taissa tells Shauna to check on her but Shauna refuses. The next morning, Shauna notices that it has snowed. She runs out of the cabin and finds Jackie under a blanket of snow, unresponsive to her pleas to Please Wake Up. Taissa holds Shauna as she wails for the friend she lost.
Present: Natalie gets Misty involved. Misty comes in with the right supplies to clean up after Adam's death. She sends off Shauna and Nat to the bathroom to dismember the body, and assigns Taissa and herself to clean up any evidence. When they are done, she has the others put the torso in a suitcase and bury it out at Hacklebarney Park, and disposes of the head and hands inside a coffin about to be cremated.
The four attend the 25th class reunion. Allie from the first episode shows a photomontage of the 1996 Yellowjackets team with a special dedication to team captain Jackie Taylor.
Simone goes back with Sammy to the family home to get some of their belongings. In the basement, she finds some blood residue leading to the crawl space. The scene cuts back and forth between Simone going through their and Taissa's campaign headquarters, where the latter and her staff anxiously await the election results. Finally, Simone finds an altar featuring Sammy's broken doll, Biscuit's head next to what appears to be his heart, and scrawled on the wall above, that symbol. As she screams, the newscaster announces that Taissa beat the incumbent. Taissa smiles malevolently.
Jeff and Shauna appear closer to each other and discuss getting a cat. They are watching TV: the news are doing a report on Adam's disappearance. Callie, who has joined her parents, gives them a suspicious look.
Natalie attempts suicide but is interrupted by a group of people who burst into her room and shove her in a van, just as Suzy, her former sponsor, leaves a message revealing who closed Travis's bank account: Lottie.
Jessica Roberts leaves Misty's house and even gets Misty to return her pack of cigarettes. As she drives away, she gets dizzier by the minute. She realizes Misty poisoned her cigarettes just before collapsing at the wheel.
1996: For the final episode scene, Lottie, followed by her new followers Van and Misty, places the bear's heart on a hollowed-out tree. She prays out loud

- Natalie’s kidnappers wear a medallion with that symbol.

- Artistic License – History: The news broadcast that announces Taissa's win proclaims her "the first black woman elected to the New Jersey State Senate." In reality, that honor belonged to Wynona Lipman
in 1971. - Dismembering the Body: Misty comes in to help her teammates dispose of Adam's body. She assigns Taissa and herself to clean up the bloody mess, and Shauna and Nat to cut up his corpse. She later has them bury his torso in a park while she has his head and hands incinerated.
- Dropped a Bridge on Him: After a whole season hinting that something nefarious happened to result in Jackie's death, it turns out she just froze when she was kicked out of the cabin, and Shauna's guilt was that she was the one to order her out when Jackie finally called her on her affair with Jeff.
- Dying Curse: When Jessica realizes Misty has poisoned her cigarettes, she manages a "Fucking bitch" before dying.
- Dying Dream: A very cold Jackie is invited back into the cabin by a smiling Shauna. Everything seems fine — the group tells her they love her, and she's offered hot chocolate to drink. Then Laura Lee and an unknown man appear and reassure her that "it isn't so bad." This appears to be her clue that this is not real. Next thing we know Shauna finds her buried in the snow.
- Gratuitous French: Half of Lottie's prayer is in French, just like she did during the séance in "Blood Hive", even though that episode mentioned that she did poorly in French class.
- Insane Troll Logic:
- How Misty relieves herself of any responsibility for poisoning the group. She didn't mean to poison them, just the Coach. It was his fault for making her fall in love with him and Mari's fault for using the mushrooms on the soup. The group does not see it that way and she is not allowed to help with processing the bear.
- Shauna justifies her affair with Jeff - who was her best friend's boyfriend - and her secret pregnancy as being Jackie's fault.
- Shower of Angst: After she is done with her part in disposing of Adam's body, Shauna goes home and cries as she takes a shower.
- Tainted Tobacco: As Jessica drives away from Misty's home, she lights a cigarette. Shortly after, she gets dizzy and realizes Misty laced her cigarettes with Fentanyl, like with the chocolates she threatened to send to Jessica's dad. She manages to cuss out Misty before collapsing at the wheel.
- Taken During the Ending: The episodes ends with Natalie, about to commit suicide, being kidnapped from her motel room.
- Wham Line: "Look, I did what you asked. I dug into Travis's bank account and found out who emptied it. I think someone's following me. Who the fuck is Lottie Matthews?"
- Wham Shot: Jackie's body, buried under the snow.
