Tropes

  • A House Divided: By the time the four Shen Gong Wu activate at the same time, it's clear that the monks are really getting on each other's nerves, with Omi doing his best to keep the team together.
  • Glamour Failure: The Chameleon-Bot turns into a hot girl in a swimsuit to approach Raimundo. Rai's tempted, but sees 'her' legs turn robotic in the lapping tide and gets wise.
  • Do I Really Sound Like That?: When Kimiko copies what Clay said after she heard him complaining about Raimundo's taste in music, complete with imitating his accent, Clay responds back "I do not talk like that... Do I?"
  • I Let You Win: Jack tries to justify his loss to Omi with this, nobody buys it.
  • Once an Episode: Zig-zagged here, as four separate challenges occur, but all at the same time.
    • Kimiko and Katnappe face off in a gator-hopping challenge for the Lotus Twister, with Kimiko's Mantis Flip Coin versus Katnappe's Tangle Web Comb; Katnappe wins after luring the gators to Kimiko's location by calling her phone and triggering its loud ring tone.
    • Raimundo and Chameleon-Bot face off in an underwater hide-and-seek challenge for the Longi Kite, with Rai's Falcon's Eye versus Chameleon-Bot's Two-Ton Tunic; Chameleon-Bot wins after turning into an octopus to simultaneously restrain Rai and grab the Kite.
    • Clay and Tubbimura compete in a race across an icy plateau for the Tongue of Saiping, with Clay's Serpent's Tail versus Tubbi's Changing Chopsticks; Tubbi wins after using fish to lure sea lions over to Clay's spot of thin ice and causes it to collapse, after which he uses the Chopsticks to reduce his size and grab the Tongue without falling in.
    • The final showdown pits Omi against Jack in a race across a windy desert for the Sun Chi Lantern, the winner being the one to reach the Wu first without spilling a drop of water from the glass they're forced to carry with them for the race, with Omi's Star Hanabi versus Jack's Monkey Staff; Omi wins after holding the water in his mouth so he could move more swiftly to the finish, knocking Jack and his glass over in the process.
  • Spanner in the Works: Omi disrupts Wuya's plans to take down the Monks by winning his Showdown against Jack. The Wu he won allows him to overpower Jack's team and save his friends.
  • Tell Him I'm Not Speaking to Him: Clay and Kimiko do this through Omi once. Since they were right next to each other at the time, they directly respond to one another while keeping up the Tell Him I'm Not Speaking To Him charade, leaving naive Omi to politely try to send the message at each interval. It ends with Raimundo telling Omi to tell them both that they're giving him a headache.
  • Villain Team-Up: To destroy the monks, Wuya organizes a team-up between Jack, Tubbimura, Katnappe, and Chameleon-Bot.
