The goddess Aphrodite uses a bell to turn lovable lose Joxer into one of the greatest warriors of all time. Meanwhile, Gabrielle is left to have an adventure of her own.

- I Am Not Left-Handed: When King Lynaeus enters the fray, Joxer the Confident admits he couldn't beat him... with his left hand that is.
- Improbable Aiming Skills: Gabrielle manages to bounce a rock at no less than four spots before hitting the bell that triggered Joxer's confidence boost.
- Noodle Incident: Xena spends most of the episode away, as King Lias invited her to a ceremony for security reasons.
- Pet the Dog: Xena assures a depressed Joxer that Aphrodite didn't really give him anything that he wasn't already capable of.Xena: The real Joxer may not be the best swordsman around, but he's always had the heart of a lion.
- Sexy Soaked Shirt: Gabrielle tried to break up Joxer and Princess Ileandra by spraying them with water. It only managed to invoke this trope.
- Sidekick: With Xena off an an adventure of her own, Gabrielle and Joxer argue over who is the other's sidekick.
- The Bet: The wager between Aphrodite and Cupid is what kicks off the plot.
- Theme Tune: Joxer reveals to have his own theme song. It even plays in full on the credits!
