Komugi Is A Middle School Student ~woof! is the ninth episode of Wonderful Pretty Cure!.

Thanks to the Niko Diamond's power, Komugi becomes a student at Wanyan Junior High, with Iroha and Satoru having to look after her.

Tropes:

  • Accidental Athlete: Before class, Komugi catches a ball Sho shoots at the goal under the belief she is playing fetch and later on proves to be an unbeatable keeper.
  • Improbable Sports Skills: As well as Komugi's impressive running skills, she has such good spatial awareness, and the same instincts honed by playing with her ball as a dog, she's a devastatingly effective goalkeeper, being able to block all of Sho's shots towards the goal.
  • Mathematician's Answer: While introducing herself, Komugi answers the class' questions in a vague manner.
A Classmate: Where are you from?
Komugi: *points at door* Over there!
Ookuma: What food do you like?
Komugi: Let's see...I prefer wet over dry.
  • Offscreen Teleportation: Komugi was able to run around the school in a very short time surprising both Iroha and Satoru when she appeared behind them. One Twitter user estimates that she had to run around 900 meters.
  • Relatively Flimsy Excuse: When asked for Komugi's family name, Satoru and Iroha intervenes and answers "Inukai", justifying that she's the latter's cousin.
  • That Was Not a Dream: When Komugi ends up asleep due to the large amount of food she ate, she initially thinks that her being a student was a dream. Only for Iroha to certify that it wasn't.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Iroha and Satoru are rather unnerved by the fact that Komugi attends school with them, and are constantly trying to do damage control when her instincts start showing.
  • Undead Tax Exemption: The Niko Diamond was able to use its magical powers to make Komugi an official student at Wanyan Junior High disregarding the need for the proper procedures such as paperwork, parental permission, and any kind of background.
