Episode 127 Tower Offence

Takes place 8-9 November 2012.

After making all the necessary preparations, Paul and his allies are ready to break into the Tower of Fate. After entering, they come across brownies that seem to work for Quinn and are acting oddly for their kind. They then realize that these particular brownies have been infected by the Anti-Life.

It eventually comes out that John split himself into multiple pieces, each with part of his mind, and the John Quinn part decided that he despises the universe. He is eventually subdued, and all the parts of John are fused back together and sent to rehab on Themyscira.

  • Alternate Universe:
  • An Arm and a Leg: Paul incapacitates Wizard by blowing off half of one of his legs.
  • Cassandra Truth: Faust doesn't believe Paul when he says he and his allies bypassed the Tower of Fate's defenses by travelling through a dream storm.
  • Oh, Crap!: Paul reacts this way once he realizes that the brownies that seem to be working for John Quinn are infected by the Anti-Life Equation.
  • Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth: Paul is able to turn the tables on the Anti-Life Equation fragment trying to affect him by opening the Honden of Avarice to it.
  • Understatement: John Constantine split himself into several pieces, ending up with two demon versions, a phantom man who's basically a magical figment of the universe's imagination, and one Omnicidal Maniac with epic-level access to both order and chaos magic, who wants to Anti-Life the universe. Paul later describes John's decision as "rather unwise."
