At one point in Spider-Man's history, he tried to cure himself of his powers, and instead grew four extra arms. Whoops. Of course, Status Quo Is God, and Spidey eventually reverted to the typical human number of limbs. But what if he didn't?
Well, for one thing, he'd have a bitch of a time keeping his secret identity, so much so that he'd decide to be Spider-Man full time, while using his condition to go on to become a well-known spokesperson for the disabled.
What if Tropers Had Six Arms?
- Multi-Armed and Dangerous: This Spider-Man permanently has three sets of arms. It causes a lot of problems for him, but he manages to overcome them and remain a hero.
- Point of Divergence: Morbius dies at sea, leaving his blood unable to be used as the antidote for Peter’s extra arms.
- Surprisingly Happy Ending: Spider-Man commits fully to his hero identity and becomes a beloved hero and disability spokesperson.
