Baby Grizz lives on the set of a sitcom in which he stars. But when a cooler kid joins the cast, Grizz feels threatened.
Tropes:
- Catchphrase: Baby Grizz's is "That's not what I ordered", while Lorenzo's is "Lorenzo's in the house!" A look at the newest script shows that Lorenzo's every line is just the catch phrase. When Grizzly quits the show and the director tries to bribe him with more fame and fortune to stay, he responds with this in a more sincere way.
- Cousin Oliver: Lorenzo is an In-Universe example, brought into the cast in an attempt to breathe life back on the show.
- "Eureka!" Moment: Grizz's desire to be part of "a bigger family" inspires the director to add a new character to the show.
- Moose and Maple Syrup: The sitcom takes place in Canada, and is full of Canadian stereotypes. The daughter is a hockey goalie, poutine is served in one episode, and the set's backyard is full of maple trees being tapped for syrup.
- Origins Episode: For Baby Grizz.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Grizzly leaves the show in order to find himself a real family.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: Even after the producers plan to make Lorenzo the new star after Grizz walks out, they learn that they were canceled.
- Show Within a Show: Family Troubles.
- Shout-Out: When Family Troubles announces a new cast member, Baby Grizz ponders the possibility of "an eccentric but wise neighbor" or "some sassy, independent old ladies" joining the show.
- Who Would Want to Watch Us?: As Baby Grizz ponders what the new cast member will be, he briefly considers two other bears before dismissing it by saying that no one would want to watch a show about three bears.
- Whole Episode Flashback: This episode takes place sometime after the flashback in "Burrito", where Baby Grizz was adopted by the TV studio from the fire station that rescued him.
