When the Bears go to the dentist, Panda gets braces. But, Panda finds out his braces grant him super abilities and the power goes to his head.

Tropes:

  • An Aesop: There are people in the world that may look down on you, but there are those who will continue to stand by you.
  • Braces of Orthodontic Overkill: Panda gets these after going to the dentist, which is what triggers the rest of the plot (and Panda's insecurities).
  • Disproportionate Retribution: People make fun of Panda's braces, so what does he plan to do for revenge? Use a meteor made of cell phones to destroy the city!
  • Drunk with Power: When Panda's braces granted him electrokinetic abilities he quickly tries to destroy the city with a meteor made of smartphones.
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: During the confrontation with Pandaro, Grizz and Ice Bear try to get through to him. Fortunately, they manage it.
  • Large Ham: Pandaro. Seriously, this is probably the most dramatically silly performance Bobby Moynahan has ever given on this show to date.
  • Made of Iron: As the doctor points out, Grizz and Ice Bear were lucky to survive the falling meteor with just a scratch. Pan-Pan, unfortunately, has to spend a couple weeks in the hospital, but fortunately doesn't need braces anymore note .
  • New Jobs As The Plot Demands: Dr. Clark from "Charlie's Big Foot" and "Vacation" is also a dentist, and apparently has "many degrees" (with at least sixteen of them hanging on his office wall).
  • Noodle Incident: "Ice Bear had powers once." He doesn't elaborate beyond that.
  • Orphaned Punchline: While waiting for Panda to be finished with his check-up, Grizzly tells Ice Bear an anecdote.
Grizzly: So I said "You put that salad on a pizza, and then I'll eat it!" And he did!
  • Shout-Out: The ending sequence is mostly an affectionate parody of the X-Men character Magneto, with Panda playing the titular role.
    • This episode is a Whole-Plot Reference to Chronicle (bullied guy with superpowers uses them to get revenge on the world and his two best friends have to stop him).
  • That Man Is Dead: Parodied. During the climax, Pan-Pan claims he is now called Pandaro.
  • The Tooth Hurts: Panda ends up losing all of his teeth by the end of the episode.
