When the guilt of breaking a deer's antler causes her to quit, the Bears work to get Tabes back into nature and back on the job.

- Cat Up a Tree: The bears strand Panda up a tree so Tabes can rescue him. Unfortunately, Tabes sees right through their ploy, and Panda is instead saved by a pair of "overly-friendly hikers".
- Crying Wolf: Panda goes to warn Tabes about the stag attacking the deer whose antler she broke, and begs her that he's serious that there's trouble for once.
- Diving Save: Tabes pushes a deer out of the way of a falling tree. Unfortunately, she accidentally breaks off one of his antlers doing so, which sends her into a Heroic BSoD.
- Don't Make Me Destroy You: Tabes when she confronts the stag, stating that even though she vowed not to harm another creature, she will still defend her friends.

- Minor Injury Overreaction: And Tabes isn't even the injured one. Accidentally breaking off a deer's antler sends her into a spiral of depression.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Tabes says this after she saves the deer, but breaks one of his antlers in the process.
- Shout-Out: The scene with Tabes triumphantly standing on a rock after she returns to being a park ranger is a riff on The Lion King (1994).
- The skinny, sensitive buck fighting the meaner, muscular buck (who Grizzly labels a homewrecker) over his lady love also recalls Bambi.
