After swimming in a dirty lake the Bear get sick and Chloe tries to take care of them. The three bears prove to be a handful to take care of. Matters get more complicated when the government mistakes their common cold for the titular bear flu and has the bears quarantined.

Tropes:

  • Comical Overreacting:
    • After browsing Totally Medicine, a website similar to Web MD, Panda starts panicking believing that his cold is the nonexistent disease, bear flu.
    • The government blows Panda's internet post out of proportion. Believing that bear flu is a contagious disease that could spread throughout the country, they send a hazmat unit to quarantine the bears.
  • Destination Defenestration: A hazmat unit enters the doctor's office this way.
  • Doctor's Orders: The hazmat units don't listen to Chloe when she tells them that there's no such thing as bear flu but they listen when the doctor tells them the same thing.
  • Faceless Goons: The government sends agents wearing hazmat suits to quarantine the bears.
  • Failed a Spot Check: The bears wouldn't have gotten sick if they had noticed and understood the sign that says no swimming.
  • Gilligan Cut: Grizz claims that they won't get sick because bears have a strong immune system. Cut to thirty minutes later and the bears are all collapsing from being ill.
  • Gross-Up Close-Up: We're treated to a shot of germy water entering the Panda's eye, Grizz's body, and Ice Bear's nostril.
  • How Many Fingers?: Chloe does this to Grizzly, who is so out of it from his illness that he answers "Little baby unicorns?"
  • Implausible Deniability: No matter how bad his cold gets, Grizzly spends most of the episode stubbornly insisting he's not sick.
  • Miniature Senior Citizens: Chloe is assumed to be an elderly Korean woman by the hazmat team.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Chloe wears a hazmat suit to pass of as one of the units and enter the tent the bears are in. This works despite Chloe being significantly short than the others. Of course, they assumed a ten-year-old was an old woman, so they aren't the brightest bulbs.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: The doctor is this. The government not so much.
  • Sick Episode: Turns out trying to take care of three bears is a lot of hassle.
  • Tempting Fate: "Ice Bear is immune to all disease."
