While Adamai remains in the Sadida Kingdom to watch over the young Grougal and Chibi, the rest of the group starts their long journey to reach the islands where Shinonome's Dofus is kept. The very first step of their journey is through a cableway system, owned by none other than Moumoune, Ruel's Grandmother. As if family quarrels weren't enough, even more trouble enters the scene when some rogues decides to ambush the heroes...
Tropes:
- Abnormal Ammo: Moumoune's gatling uses pebbles as ammo.
- Call-Back: The gang of rogues attacking the cableway uses the same weapons and mounts as the Black Crow, who gets namesdropped.
- Camera Abuse: At the end of the battle, one of Moumoune's stray bullets actually cracks the camera.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: The rogues don't fare well against the heroes inside the cableway car. And barely better outside in the sky.
- Gatling Good: Moumoune's cableway comes with a roof-mounted gatling gun which she uses to mow down the attackers with gusto.
- Greed: Ruel was already considered a miser by his friends, but he looks charitable compared to his grandmother.
- Insistent Terminology: When Eva asks if they may borrow the cableway, Moumoune reacts as if she just spout a vulgarity.Ruel: We Stroud don't like the word "lend", we'd rather prefer "rent".
- Never Mess with Granny: Moumoune may be a fossil and the ancient grandmother of someone who's already a thousand years old, but she's much stronger than her grandson and can combine with her Dhreller to form a deadly combination. And if you think that flying can give you an edge, well she has a gatling gun mounted on her cableway and she's not afraid to use it.
- Oh, Crap!: The boss challenges Yugo to what's essentially chicken on his diving bird... only to panic first and call Yugo a murderer when he forces him to plunge all the way to the cableway's rooftop.
- One-Winged Angel: Like many Enutrof, Moumoune can perform a Fusion Dance with her Dhreller pet, allowing her to turn into a tusked, clawed berserker.
- Pet the Dog: King Sheran Sharm, once again, lets his beloved daughter go to adventure with her friends, after seemingly being contrary.
- Pretender Diss: Yugo isn't impressed by the gang emulating the Black Crow's style and weapons.Yugo: You're not worthy a single feather of the Black Crow!
- Really 700 Years Old: A flashbakc showing Ruel as a kid has Moumoune looking the same as now, making her easily over 1000 years old.
- Super-Strength: Moumoune's cableway works on a massive bicycle-like contraption: when Ruel tries to make it work he nearly breaks his legs while trying to move the treadle, while his grandmother has no trouble at all.
