Hours before the Party Convention, Selina struggles to find a replacement as Doyle announces he's leaving the ticket; Dan works with Jonah and Richard for a client.
Doyle finds out about the data breach and announces he wants off the ticket, much to Selina's poorly disguised delight, so the team is tasked with finding a new running mate to announce in Selina's acceptance speech. The stakes are raised as O'Brien announces his running mate will be New Mexico senator Laura Montez (Selina: "She’s brilliant! She’s pretty! She’s charming! She’s a woman! She’s fucking ethnic!"). Meanwhile, Selina's new advisor Karen grates through Amy's few remaining shreds of patience as a parade of politicians make their way through the suite to ultimately reject Selina's offer to be be her Veep.
Amy repeatedly suggests the charismatic former senator Tom James but is ignored. She finally snaps and delivers a withering "Reason You Suck" Speech to Selina before quitting and storming out. Selina finally listens to reason and calls James in.
