It’s Christmas Eve and Brock can’t go to sleep before he hears a bedtime story, so Master Frown tells him about the time he stole all of Santa’s presents from the North Pole.

Tropes:

  • Abnormal Ammo: The toy soldiers’ candy cane guns shoot snowballs.
  • Air-Vent Passageway: Unikitty escapes Master Frown’s toy soldiers by flying into a vent. She then traverses through a series of convoluted tunnels to try to get help.
  • Blunt "No": Santa’s response to Master Frown asking if the only thing that happens to people on the naughty list is that they get a stern talking to and sent on their way.
Santa: No. There’s only one place for naughty boys like you - Christmas Jail!
  • Christmas Episode: Master Frown tells Brock a Christmas Eve bedtime story about a heist at the North Pole.
  • Christmas Miracle: What Unikitty and her friends call Master Frown being disintegrated by Santa’s Magic Holiday Blast and taken to Christmas Jail.
  • Description Cut: Unikitty tells Master Frown that her driver’s going to realize what’s going on and bust in to kick his butt. The scene then cuts to Puppycorn dancing around in the car, completely oblivious to Unikitty being in danger.
  • "Die Hard" on an X: This episode is basically “Die Hard in the North Pole” - fitting, as many people consider Die Hard their favorite Christmas movie.
  • The Elevator from Ipanema: While looking for Unikitty, the toy soldiers take a quiet elevator ride while this stereotypical music plays in the background.
  • Everything Makes a Mushroom: When Master Frown falls from the top of the workshop into the snow, his landing ends in an explosion.
  • "Facing the Bullets" One-Liner: Master Frown parodies McClane's famous catchphrase (albeit a G-rated version) as he lets go of Unikitty’s hand and falls into the snow below.
    Master Frown: Yippee kayak, chimichanga!
  • The Grinch: Master Frown tries to steal Santa’s presents and get everyone put on the naughty list.
  • Heist Episode: Master Frown’s bedtime story for Brock is about the two of them attempting to steal all the Christmas presents from Santa’s vault at the North Pole.
  • Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy: Despite Unikitty standing right in front of them, the toy soldiers can’t manage to hit her with their snowballs. Though they do manage to nail everything in the surrounding area.
    • Although, when she gets a gun later, Unikitty’s shown to not be much better.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: After getting wrapped into presents by the toy soldiers, Hawkodile says “Looks like they really wrapped us up.” He gets a deadpan stare from Dr. Fox and Richard says “I’m going home”, before easily slipping out of his restraints and leaving.
  • Pin-Pulling Teeth: Parodied. Unikitty throws a snowball bomb at some toy soldiers after pulling the candy cane pin out of it with her teeth.
  • Snowy Sleigh Bells: Signaling the arrival of Santa, who then crashes through Master Frown & Brock’s fireplace.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: To Die Hard, with features that include taking place on Christmas, an Air-Vent Passageway, an Uncomfortable Elevator Moment, Intercom Villainy while using a German accent, and a badass one-liner, among many other references.
