Episode Tropes

  • Big Damn Heroes: Ultraman Ace shows up to give Z a helping hand when he had a hard time dealing with Baraba.
  • Crucified Hero Shot: At one point during Barabas' beatdown on Z, Delta Rise Claw lay on a broken building with his arms outstretched, which also serves as a Call-Back to Barabas' debut episode back in Ultraman Ace, where Yapool would also crucify the Ultra Brothers.
  • Double-Meaning Title: Ace's appearance and his team-up with Z brings a twofold meaning to this episode's title. Ace's title card is written as Ultraman A, the first letter of the English alphabet, and fittingly Z being the last letter. This explains Z being referred to by Ace as the "Last Hero".
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Yapool doesn't make an appearance in this episode, but his hatred and malice for Ace manifests through Baraba.
  • Mythology Gag: Baraba gouged its eyes out when he's nearing death, a reference to the same thing happened when Ace turned its own weapon against the Choju.
  • The Power of Hate: Baraba suddenly capable of speaking in normal speech and proclaiming his hate for Ultraman Ace. This is because of Choju itself was born from Yapool's long-standing grudge against Ace, even after his death.
  • The Reveal: Ace is revealed to be Z's godfather!
  • Riding into the Sunset: Ace and Z flies off as the sunset appears.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Bemstar simply runs away in fear as the dimensional rift created by Baraba's presence starts to crack open.
  • Weapon Tombstone: Baraba's head crest remains after its death, simply appearing in a manner to the Choju's grave marker. It won't last long as Yuka seemed to have set her interest on the item.
