And what trials await to test the trust between them?!

Tropes

  • Big Red Button: Ignis leaves one behind on the site of the Eternity Core so that Kengo predictably presses it despite it having instructions specifically saying not to press it, which summons Mecha Musashin to keep him and Akito distracted.
  • Character Death: Hudram dies in this episode, after surviving his fight with Trigger Dark he gets finished off and devoured by Carmeara, who empowers herself with his essence.
  • Character Development: Ignis finally makes peace with his past, gets closure by stopping Hudram one last time and is on completely good terms with GUTS Select and Kengo, after seemingly nearly becoming their enemy once again.
  • Devour the Dragon: Enraged by Hudram's treachery, Carmeara finds him limping away from his defeat then kills and absorbs his darkness essence to empower herself.
  • Karmic Death: Hudram said back in episode 17 that he ate some of the Lishurians to "preserve" their memories as a memento of his massacre. Here Carmeara eats him and has to keep his disgusting flavor as a bitter reminder of his betrayal.
  • Mythology Gag: Carmeara kills and absorbs Hudram's essence at the end of the episode. Just like how Tiga destroyed Hudra and absorbed his power in Ultraman Tiga: The Final Odyssey.
  • The Reveal: Ignis wants the Eternity Core so he can resurrect the Lishurians, he relents once he is made to see that it would put the whole universe in danger if used.
  • Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth: Downplayed. After devouring Hudram's essence, Carmeara admits the taste is awful but is willing to ignore it in favor of getting the power of her former teammate for herself.
  • Villainous Breakdown: Hudram suffers his biggest and last one in the series, after Trigger Dark regains the upper hand and uses the power of his bonds with his Kengo, Yuna and Akito; as well his darkness and Trigger's light to create a beam powerful enough to overwhelm him at last.
  • Wham Episode:
    • Hudram is finally killed by Carmeara for his treachery and she absorbs his power, intending to strengthen herself with it and finally stop pulling her punches.
    • Ignis becomes friends with Kengo, Akito and Yuna for real after he proves how much he truly cares about them, officially ending their enmity once and for all.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: The combination of Trigger's light and Trigger Dark's darkness along with Yuna's assistance from her Yuzare powers allows the good-aligned Dark Giant to create a beam powerful enough to finally defeat Hudram.
