Tropes

  • Arc Words: Yuzare’s are finally clarified. “You are light and human.”
  • Call-Back: Ribut passes on the same speech he received from Great and Powered to Kengo.
  • Easily Forgiven: Subverted. While Tatsumi at first didn't mind Kengo and Yuna walking away from work, likely owing it to him realizing Kengo is Trigger; he still prepares to give them a scolding for insubordination at the end of the episode.
  • Enemy Mine: The Dark Giant trio provide a distraction for GUTS-Select to complete Nursedessei’s battle mode.
  • Mid-Season Upgrade: GUTS Select finally receive one in the form of upgrading the Nursedessei so it can access its Dragon Mode, in which the base ship becomes nimbler and much more capable of fighting foes.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Ribut showing off how an Ultra can turn anything that holds light into a Transformation Trinket allows Ignis to become Trigger Dark.
  • Resurrective Immortality: It is revealed that Absolutians can revive as long as their Absolute Heart survives the destruction of their body.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Captain Tatsumi's heavily implied knowledge of Kengo's true identity allows him to let Kengo and Yuna go off on their own to train with Ribut while they're supposed to be at work helping their teammates. At the end of the episode, even after all's been cleared he still prepares to scold them for insubordination.
  • Training from Hell: Subverted. Ribut first subjected Kengo to a brutal sparring session, much like the one he had received at the hands of Great and Powered, but opted to dancing once it became clear that Kengo needed to clear his mind.
  • Wax On, Wax Off: Ribut's dance lessons end up helping Kengo clear his mind and learn how to control his power as Glitter Eternity.
  • Wham Episode:
    • An Absolutian, Diavolo, is defeated and destroyed for the first time by the combined efforts of Trigger, Ribut and GUTS Select. Too bad it doesn't lasts.
    • The Absolutians are revealed to have an Absolutian heart, which as long as it remains unscathed allows them to regenerate their whole body.
    • Kengo reveals himself to be both human and light, as in he's both light as the reincarnation of Trigger's light and human as his mother's biological son, he also concludes that is the reason why his mother and family lived in Mars, so he could eventually obtain his original power back.
    • Ignis learns how to reshape his GUTS Sparklence into a usable Transformation Trinket by hearing Ribut's words and transforms for the first time in Trigger Dark.
