Of all my toys, I love this doll the best.
She only cries a little when I hurt her.

Sam, a recent high school graduate, babysits a rich girl named Angela. However, she soon learns that Angela is not a normal kid.

Tropes featured in this episode:

  • Ambiguous Ending: The episode ends with Sam being given a living doll that resembles Angela. It's unknown whether this means that Angela has been made into a doll, or she created the doll as a way to continue terrorizing Sam.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Sam is a woman of color with her ethnicity unstated (she looks to be part East Asian at least). Canadian actress Christina Orjalo, who played her, is of partial Filipina ancestry.
  • Antagonistic Offspring: The climax reveals that Angela's parents are slowly being transformed into dolls, and they were made to catch babysitters under the threat of losing their humanity completely.
  • Berserk Button: For Angela, not being in control.
  • Big Fancy House: Angela and her parents live in one. Sam jokes that she needs a map to navigate the place.
  • Brief Accent Imitation: Sam briefly imitates Angela's British accent when she warns that the tea is bitter.
  • Creepy Child: Angela. She lures babysitters to play with her so she can transform them into dolls for her to control.
  • Creepy Doll: Angela has a set. Turns out they were once humans.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After Sam helps them regain their former human identity, the dolls turn on Angela and distract her long enough for Sam to escape.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Angela can't see why the dolls turn on her the instant Sam gave them a little compassion.
  • Evil Brit: All of the Manderleys seem to be this. It's actually just Angela who is evil. Mr. Manderley even sympathizes with Sam knowing that she will become a victim.
  • Eye Scream: Because she didn't drink the entire cup, Angela only manages to transform Sam's right eye into a doll. The ending shows that Sam covers it with a scarf, possibly so people won't get freaked out seeing it.
  • Friend to All Children: Sam is a straight example.
  • Red Herring: The opening makes it seem that Angela's parents are the reason why their daughter grew up evil and twisted. However, the ending reveals that they are actually unwilling servants of her, just like the rest of the dolls.
  • Redemption Rejection: Even after all the terror Angela inflicted upon her, Sam offers Angela help, to teach her better and be her friend. Angela takes her hand...and attempts to turn her into a doll again.
  • Slipping a Mickey: The tea that Angela offered Sam incapacitates her, enabling Angela to transform her into a doll. However, because she only drinks a little, she is able to fight back.
  • Was Once a Man: All of Angela's dolls were past babysitters hired to care for her. Her parents are also revealed to be half-dolls.
