- Chaos While They're Not Looking: A variant: The BET leaves Joker alone with Poisony. When they come back, they're curled up in bed together and Joker is wearing his clothes looser, implying they got up to some hanky-panky while they were gone.
- Flying Broomstick: Riko uses her flying broomstick to help clean evil goo off from the salon ceiling.
- Hammerspace: Mentioned by name; Asuka pulls an actual hammer out of hammerspace to try and kill a snake.
- Mythology Gag: Joker keeps talking about someone named Keith in his sleep. Joker's English voice actor's name is Keith Silverstein.
- Snakes Are Sinister: Majorina's evil magic puts a mean snake in the salon, who scares the crap out of Sango, Manatsu, and Minori. However, once she leaves, the snake turns out to be nice, and Manatsu names him Biscuit.
