Tuca develops a growth inside of her while participating in online virtual sex for money. She goes to the doctor, who reveals that it is an impacted egg which has to be surgically removed. Meanwhile, Bertie is getting ready for "Yeast Week", a special event at the bakery to introduce the "crünt". Bertie then has to decide whether to attend the Yeast Week festivities with Pastry Pete, or go to the hospital to console Tuca instead.

- Comically Missing the Point: Speckle tries playing Tuca's online sex game unaware of its true intents. He keeps hearing the word "jerk" and assumes it to be calling the villain a jerk instead of masturbating him, and then cheers when he succeeds.
- Exorcist Head: An owl security guard's head spins 360 degrees.
- Gosh Dang It to Heck!: Zig-zagged.Bertie: Holy fucking shit, the freaking Bread Bowl! Are you shitting serious?
- Gross-Up Close-Up: When Speckle takes a look at Tuca's lump, the camera zooms in on the details.
- Ironic Echo: "Don't worry, we got the best doctors." Spoken by a doctor taking Tuca into surgery for her impacted egg; previously spoken to young!Tuca by her aunt Talullah who was taken into surgery after her car accident.
- Lampshade Hanging: From the host of Yeast Week: "Ladies and gentle-birds and plants, humans, and sometimes inanimate objects that can talk... what a weird world..."
- Musicalis Interruptus: Bertie starts to sing a song about Yeast Week, only to get interrupted two lines in by Pastry Pete saying, "Bertie, please, only first-timers sing by the fountain."
- Ocular Gushers: Bertie cries waterfall tears when Tuca accuses her of not being good enough for anyone.
- Ow, My Body Part!: "Ow, my side!"
- Plot-Mandated Friendship Failure: Tuca and Bertie have a massive blowout and spend the next few months not speaking to each other.
- Scenery Censor: When Speckle inadvertently jerks off the turtle in Tuca's online sex game to climax, his groin is conveniently censored with the game's UI displaying "J.O.".
- Sophisticated as Hell: The doctor treating Tuca: "Okay, let me put this as sensitively as I can: you have an egg up in your cooch and you'd be a moron not to cut that shit out of your lady pipes."
