At the Rainbow Kingdom's Fundawunda Festival, Bartleby takes care of a Hino Tari Egg for the Rainbow King. When the egg hatches, True scrambles to save the day.

This episode includes examples of:

  • An Aesop: While it’s good to help, trying to help with too much at once can sometimes lead to even more problems.
  • And Then John Was a Zombie: Bartleby does end up being able to attract the chicks with his corn costume, but it works a little too well. He gets swarmed by the chicks and their kisses turn him into one of them.
  • Animal Sweet on Object: One of the times True calls for Cumulo, the little cloud is seen cuddling up to an inanimate festival balloon.
  • Chirping Crickets: When True tries to get the chicks’ attention with Bartleby dressed like a corncob, there’s no response and a yeti rolls by in a ball like a tumbleweed.
  • Delayed Reaction: The Rainbow King does this when he says hello to the Hino Tari chick before realizing that the presence of a chick means that the egg he gave True to watch had hatched.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: Hatcher turning everyone into chicks is treated almost like a breakout of The Virus or a Zombie Apocalypse.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": True and Bartleby name the Hino Tari egg “Eggy”. After it hatches, Bartleby realizes they can’t call it Eggy anymore…so he changes the name to “Hatcher”.
  • Eating Contest: One of the events that True has to judge at the Fundawunda Festival is a pie-eating contest. However, she never actually gets to judge it since she’s interrupted by Bartleby losing Hatcher.
  • Egg Sitting: True, despite already being very busy, offers to watch the Hino Tari egg for the Rainbow King. Her busy schedule leaves Bartleby to egg-sit by himself and when it hatches, the two of them end up having to chase the chick all over the festival.
  • Ethereal Choir: One of the buses at the Rainbow City Toot Salute has a horn that makes this sound, complete with Rays from Heaven.
  • "Everybody Laughs" Ending: The episode ends with True getting a kiss from Hatcher and Bartleby makes sure that he gets one too. Afterwards, he, True, and Rainbow King all laugh.
  • Finish Dialogue in Unison: True and Bartleby do this when they’re telling Zee that Hatcher will keep kissing until they get her back to the top of Mount Tippy Tippy Top to get “a kiss from her mom!”.
  • Furry Reminder: Bartleby starts purring while he hugs True.
  • His Name Is...: The Rainbow King is about to tell True and Bartleby how to catch a Hino Tari chick right before Hatcher kisses him and turns him into a chick himself.
  • Imprinting: Hatcher calls every creature she sees “Mama”.
  • Lame Pun Reaction: A group of Rainbow City citizens that are crowded around to see the Hino Tari egg walk away with bored expressions when True and Bartleby start making egg puns.
    True: How’s Eggy doing?
Bartleby: Overeasy! That’s an egg joke! It means Eggy’s fine.
True: Oh good, I guess I didn’t have to scramble back!
  • Magic Kiss: Whoever Hatcher kisses turns into a chick just like her and she’ll continue kissing until she receives a kiss of her own from her mother.
  • Moonwalk Dance: One of the yetis does this during the Yeti Stomp Dance Competition and gets first prize.
  • The Power of Love: A kiss from her mother is the only thing that stops Hatcher from turning other people into chicks with her kisses.
