After last episode's illegal Skoot race, it isn't long before the BFFL's involvement is discovered. They're punished with community service at an old trolls' home, and where spells fail manual labor succeeds in helping the old folks. They befriend an old troll named Fossil Trollobite, who reduces their sentence as an act of kindness. He tells them about a goblin toy he lost in the Haunted Woodz ages ago, and if they can find it for him he's be extremely grateful.
Mica, who's stuck on trash duty, hears of the plan and decides to find the toy first so his sentence can be reduced, lying that he heard the old man's story and knows where to find it. Both groups traverse the woods, but danger arises in the from of mud monsters and a stone ogre who hates liars like Mica. Amethyst is able to free Mica, and he gratefully accepts defeat, and Fossil is overjoyed to have his toy back. The Trollz' community service days are over—just in time for Jasper to announce an upcoming party.

- Brutal Honesty: The stone ogre hates liars and only accepts the truth, even when it's negative. She asks the trolls if she's ugly, to which Amethyst agrees, but when Mica lies and says she's gorgeous she flies into a rage and attacks him.
- Heel–Face Turn: Mica turns good and stops antagonizing the girls after they save his life.
