With Trypticon on his way to destroy Metroplex, the Autobots have to find a way to repair Metroplex without First Aid's help.

Tropes

  • 10-Minute Retirement: First Aid believes he's holding the rest of the Autobots back because of his pacifism and leaves the team after he lets Swindle get away with Metroplex's transformation cog. He briefly retires to doing repairs at a nearby junkyard before Hot Spot convinces him to come back and save Metroplex.
  • Actual Pacifist: First Aid's pacifist ways are shown as refuses to fight Swindle when he steals Metroplex's transformation cog and tries unsuccessfully to talk him down. He leaves the Autobots out of guilt, but shows he can still be of use when he uses his mechanic skills to reinstall Metroplex's transformation cog.
Swindle: I heard you were a pacifist, but I don't believe there's a Transformer who won't fight for his life!
First Aid: I don't believe in fighting. I'm a medic, not a warrior.
Swindle: Then you'll die for your beliefs!
  • Animation Bump: The episode has some of the better animation to come out of season three. A particular highlight is the fight scene between Metroplex and Trypticon, which has dynamic angles and poses combined with more fluid animation compared with other episodes that feature the two fighting each other.
  • Brandishment Bluff: Galvatron boasts that he's developed a new ultimate weapon capable of destroying all of the Autobots and threatens to use it at the end of the episode. Rodimus realizes that if Galvatron really did have a weapon that powerful, he would've used it by now. He calls Galvatron's bluff and gets him to retreat.
  • Giant Robot Hands Save Lives: Daniel is tossed off the side of a cliff, but is save when Ultra Magnus leaps down and catches him in his hands before he hits the bottom.
  • It's All My Fault: First Aid blames himself for Swindle stealing Metroplex's transformation cog because he refused to fight Swindle and compromise his pacifist beliefs. While the other Autobots don't hold this against him, First Aid leaves the team out of guilt.
  • Janitor Impersonation Infiltration: Spike and Daniel disguise themselves as repairmen to infiltrate Trypticon and steal his transformation cog. While Vortex isn't fooled, they are able to sneak past Cyclonus when they run into him.
  • Kick Them While They Are Down: Swindle gives First Aid a few extra kicks after he's knocked out and rubs it in how Metroplex can't transform anymore thanks to him.
  • Land of Tulips and Windmills: The episode takes place in the Netherlands, complete with windmills and Dutch architecture. Although by the year 2006, the Netherlands is overrun with crime and the Autobots are recruited to help bring peace back to the nation.
