"Choco rations down 2 grams! Doubleplusungood! — Alert! Alert! Evil Martian phlengoes have invaded supermarkets across the planet. They have come to steal Earth's ammonia."
Teletraan-1, after Kremzeek takes control of the computer

The Decepticons accidentally create a creature made of living electricity, and use it to cause chaos.

Tropes:

  • Aborted Arc: The ending involving another Kremzeek jumping out of Blaster's chest, prompting another chase was never followed up on.
  • Artistic License – Linguistics: Look closely at the sign over the arcade that Kremzeek enters. It mixes English letters and Japanese katakana; this is considered bad form in the Japanese language. It is believed that this episode was animated by an unidentified Asian animation studio as it is highly unlikely that Toei (one of the primary animation studios behind the series) or one of their subcontractors (as Toei would have overseen their work) would make such a blunder.

  • Here We Go Again!: At the end of the episode, Blaster admits that he sort of misses Kremzeek - at which point a Kremzeek that jumped into him earlier jumps out, and the pursuit begins again.
  • Pokémon Speak: Kremzeek only says his own name.
  • Shoot the Dog: The creature isn't truly evil, and Optimus knows it, but it's also uncontrollable, uncontainable, and driven by a love of chaos. Optimus pushes the button himself to destroy the kaiju size Kremzeek.
  • Shout-Out:
    • A sign advertises a Godzilla-esque monster movie called "Hojoni".
    • Another sign advertises the Japanese beer KIRIN.
    • The white and green trains seen are the Zero Series Shinkansen bullet trains. They were common in Japan around the time the episode originally aired but have been decommissioned by 2008.
    • A commuter in Japan can be seen wearing a Sony Walkman, a very popular electronic device of the 1980s.
