     In General
  • Back for the Finale: Almost every Cybertronian the Maltos have met and/or helped returns for the final fight against G.H.O.S.T. and Mandroid.
  • Darker and Edgier: And given the prior episode, that's saying something. "The Last Hope" has a number of death fake-outs, violent and gruesome imagery, as well as beloved legacy characters being put under mind control and trying to murder our protagonists, most of which are children.
  • Save the World: Since Mandroid's plan targets every Cybertronian on Earth, defeating him would basically be this.

     Part 1
  • All for Nothing: Twitch's team manages to snag Mandroid's energon-depleting spear, but as it turns out Mandroid never actually needed the spear to activate his Doomsday Device to begin with and the human Maltos are still in his grasp, rendering Twitch's, Nightshade's, Bumblebee's and Schloder's efforts completely pointless.
  • Blatant Lies: Mandroid is very clearly not telling the truth when he assures Blitzwave and Razorfin that the machine that targets all energon-based life forms won't affect them.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Mandroid finally exacts his revenge on Croft by taking advantage of the fact that she now has energon running through her veins. He uses the machine that shuts down all Energon-based life forms to disintegrate her body into nothing.
  • Darkest Hour: Thrash, Hashtag and Jawbreaker seemingly died during the Maltos' escape from the Sharkticons. Dot, Alex, Mo and Robbie have been imprisoned by Mandroid, who's using the kids' cybersleeves to power up his Doomsday Device. The Autobots and Megatron have all been put under mind control. And with the Decepticons refusing to fight for a planet that has never really been home to them in the first place, only Twitch, Bumblebee, Nightshade and Schloder are left to stop Mandroid.
  • Even Evil Can Be Loved: Despite everything Croft's done, up to and including throwing Schloder in prison when he refused to join her mad crusade against Cybertronians, Schloder is still horrified when Mandroid kills her using the energon draining machine and tries to avenge her.
  • Failed a Spot Check: Played for Drama. During the entire fight at the space bridge construction site, no one in Twitch's team notices that the human Maltos are being held captive right beneath the space bridge. Twitch only sees them right before she enters the activated bridge to another location and by then it's way too late. Twitch is heartbroken over this and laments that they could have saved at least part of their family if they'd paid closer attention.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Schloder officially declares G.H.O.S.T. "over" and joins the Terrans and Bumblebee on their quest to stop Mandroid and save the Cybertronians on Earth.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: While it's sad to see the Decepticons refuse to join the fight against Mandroid, it's kind of understandable that they wouldn't feel any desire to risk their lives for Earth after the treatment they've received at the hands of Earth's natives.
Breakdown: Earth ain't exactly been home to us.
  • Year Inside, Hour Outside: On Earth only one day has passed since Mandroid's departure. To him it's revealed to have been a year.

     Part 2
  • All for Nothing: A rare positive example this time around. Mandroid's efforts to release a World-Wrecking Wave and destroy every energon-based life form on Earth are rendered null and void when Mo and Robby simply use his tower to launch a World-Healing Wave to undo the damage he's done.
  • Book Ends: The first season ends the way it began: With one Malto sibling telling the other that they've fallen in love with their new home while the family watches the sky, hopeful for the future.
  • Changed My Mind, Kid: The Decepticons who were freed from prison, along with Starscream, Nova Storm and Skywarp, return to help the Terrans by holding off the Autobots and Megatron, having decided to fight for Earth after all.
  • Eye Scream: Twitch's eye gets blown out by Mandroid's Doomsday Device. Luckily, Robby's and Mo's World-Healing Wave fixes it.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Thrash uses his body as a shield to protect Twitch from Mandroid's Doomsday Device, resulting in his death. Thankfully he gets better.
  • Go Out with a Smile: Mandroid dies smiling as his own machine shuts him down, believing he finally succeeded in wiping the Cybertronians off Earth.
  • "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight: Twitch tries to snap Megatron out of Mandroid's control by calling out to him. Sadly it fails, due to the control devices being just too strong.
  • Laughing Mad: Mandroid ends up as this when Twitch and Thrash beat him down but fail to stop him from activating his super-weapon that shuts off every energon based life form.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Twitch and Thrash give one to Mandroid both individually and together, calling him out on how much of a monster he's become in his single-minded obsession with "freeing" Earth from Cybertronians.
  • World-Healing Wave: Robby and Mo use their cybersleeves together with Mandroid's tower to send their healing powers all over the world and undo the damage Mandroid has done.

Mo: I think I do too.
