20F - The Untrustworthy Room

    Season 2: Ch. 11 (Chapter 90)

Mule Love begins his Trustworthy Room test, and explains the rules to the Regulars. Basically, the dorms serve as the arena, and along with needing to form a team of up to seven Regulars, they must secure six dorm rooms by team-up or stealing. Doing so will allow the seven Regular team, who completes this task first, to pass the test. Their remotes that open and close their doors also have two buttons as to whether dorm rooms team up, or a team defeats and steals another person's dorm. To control a room, a teammate must be within it at all times. In addition, they must complete this task before Viole wins his duel with Mule Love at the bathing room, which Viole would then return to his dorm room to win the test on his own.

Within Wangnan and Nia's dorm 101, Wangnan comes up with the plan with Nia for the two of them to wait it out in their dorm room since he doubts that Viole will win against the Ranker, but also admits that it's because he's afraid of fighting the Slayer Candidate. Goseng on the other hand, leaves Miseng alone in their dorm as she heads out into the hallway to meet with Wangnan; believing that forming a team to pass the test as soon as possible is the key to victory. As Goseng walks off, a questionable person is seen arriving at her and Miseng's dorm. Meanwhile, Prince also leaves his dorm room after hiding their room's remote since he figures that their best option would be to just defeat Viole. He leaves Rapdevil behind to protect their room.

In Viole and Ehwa's dorm, Ehwa has control of their room's remote. Blocking Viole's path from the exit, Ehwa tries to force him to stay in the room since she believes that he will just choose to wipe out everyone else to make the test easier for him. Viole remains stubborn to not stay in the room, which she shows off her powerful uncontrolled flames against him. However, she ends up getting frozen by him using Quant's freezing Bang, and is forced to watch Viole simply walk by her and takes the remote.

    Season 2: Ch. 12 (Chapter 91)

Ehwa remains unable to move desperately hoping that someone shows up to stop Viole from leaving. Upon opening the door, Prince is seen standing there ready for a proper fight against Viole. His charge into the dorm catches Viole off-guard to the point of him dropping their room's remote, which Prince grabs to close the door again while everyone's still inside. Prince stands ready with his needle weapon ready for a fight, but the Slayer Candidate easily freezes Prince as well, and exits the room. Viole then begins walking down the hallway towards Mule Love's location; leaving Prince and Ehwa behind in the dorm room.

Waiting alone in her room, dorm 201, Miseng gets a visitor, who turns out to be the yogurt woman she met during the break period. Despite being told by Goseng not to open the door for anyone, the woman begins to panic that someone is coming towards them. Worried for the woman, Miseng pulls out the dorm remote as if she's about to open the door.

In dorm 301, Akraptor and Horyang discuss how they will deal with the test. Akraptor offers for Horyang to go out in order to check on his crush, Goseng, but Horyang states that he will stay as the room defender since he knows that Akraptor's been worried about Miseng as if she was his own daughter. The two of them remain stubborn as to who should leave until it turns out that Akraptor has left the dorm. He arrives at dorm 201 to become teammates with Miseng and Goseng. However, Akraptor begins to worry when things strangely remain silent.

    Season 2: Ch. 13 (Chapter 92)

Akraptor continues to pound on dorm 201 hoping that something bad didn't happen. The moment he threatens to knock the door down, Miseng finally answers stating that she won't open it for anyone, even the yogurt woman from earlier, and that she won't open for Akraptor since he tried to kick her out earlier and even looks scary. Akraptor gets ready to leave, but Miseng asks him to stay since she's scared of being alone. As a result, Akraptor chooses to remain sitting outside the door. Chatting with one another, Akraptor asks why Miseng entered the Tower when she's just a little child, which she answers that it's because her parents expect great things from her. Miseng then asks in return why Akraptor entered the Tower, which causes him to remember his past when he failed to protect his own child. Thus, he answers that he's climbing the Tower in order to become strong.

Miseng and Akraptor pass the time by playing a word game until the yogurt lady returns to Miseng's dorm. She offers Akraptor a chance to team-up with her against the little girl who wouldn't open the door for her. Obviously, Akraptor chooses to side with Miseng, which causes the yogurt lady to attack him by shooting a blast of red shinsu from her ring at him. Akraptor easily blocks the attack with his umbrella weapon, and before the yogurt lady could fire again, Akraptor charges in and disarms her ring hand. He then takes the yogurt lady elsewhere to defeat her so that Miseng doesn't hear the woman's painful screams.

Meanwhile, in Prince and Rapdevil's dorm 501, the Devil of the Right Arm continues to remain in wait as the dorm's guard. His attention is then brought to a sudden visitor within the room.

    Season 2: Ch. 14 (Chapter 93)

Goseng arrives at dorm 101 to become teammates with the Wangnan/Nia duo, and asks to be let in. Wangnan chooses to open the door, but when Goseng enters dorm 101, she sees that Wangnan and Nia have bunkered down in fear. Knowing that Wangnan has trust issues due to his situation with Lurker Cash, Goseng reveals to Wangnan that she originally had no confidence, but seeing everyone's efforts to pass the 20th Floor test has given her the will to trust herself more, and to keep climbing the Tower despite being weak like him. Seeing that Goseng is even willing to hand over the remote connector for her and Miseng's dorm to become teammates, no strings attached, Wangnan becomes convinced that the Goseng/Miseng dorm is trustworthy enough to team up with.

Meanwhile in the dorm building hallway, an annoyed Prince continues to chase after Viole. Kim eventually catches up to him to inform the son of Lurker Cash of some bad news. It turns out that something happened to Rapdevil back at dorm 501, which catches Prince's attention.

Leaving Nia to watch over dorm 101, Wangnan heads back with Goseng to tell the news to Miseng. At dorm 201, Akraptor is seen continuing continuing to keep Miseng company with the word game from opposite sides of the door while the yogurt lady remains tied up and captured next to him. Eventually, Wangnan and Goseng arrive and greet Akraptor. Wangnan and Akraptor argue over their actions within the test so far where Wangnan gets called out for hiding while it looked like Akraptor was picking on Miseng. They all then retreat into Goseng and Miseng's dorm 201 after they see Viole walking towards them.

Upon entering the safety of dorm 201, Wangnan fears that Viole must have already killed everyone up to this point, but Akraptor and Goseng don't seem as convinced since Viole doesn't come off as a mass murderer, and appears to just be in a hurry to go and duel the Ranker. Knowing that they need to hurry before Viole completes his side of the test, the Akraptor/Horyang dorm joins forces with the Goseng/Miseng and Wangnan/Nia dorms for a total of six teammates and three rooms. However, apart from still having to worry about Viole, Wangnan figures that the team to beat is still the Kim Lurker and Prince team.

At that same time, Prince is seen having returned to his dorm 501 with Kim. Prince realizes that someone killed the Devil of the Right Arm, and orders Kim to tell him who did it. Elsewhere, Viole is seen having reached the bathing room to begin his duel with Mule Love.

    Season 2: Ch. 15 (Chapter 94)

Within the bathing room, Viole stands before Mule Love, who's sitting on a stool while two massive glove objects are seen floating above him. Before starting their duel, Mule Love notes how odd it is that Viole avoided the other Regulars, but also points out that FUG is known to be a group that makes fun of the rules of the Tower, such as the Slayer, Karaka, being given specific missions to kill specific Regulars. Thus, seeing Viole do so as well means that he doesn't respect him. He gives Viole one last chance to do the test properly by picking his teammates, but Viole still refuses, which causes Mule Love to begin their solo test.

Mule Love's test for Viole is basically a pitcher and batter in baseball. Showing off a pitching machine, Mule Love explains that along with having the option to quit at any time in order to take the test normally with the other Regulars, Viole will be provided three chances to catch Mule Love's remote connector before it reaches the glove on the other side of the room. However, the Ranker will also be attempting to interrupt Viole's attempt to catch it, and threatens that Viole might also "accidentally" die during Mule Love's interruptions. Asking if Viole is still determined to go through with this, the Slayer Candidate answers that he is.

The 1st pitch is shot. Viole manages to surprise Mule Love by performing a high-level immobilization Bang to freeze the connector in place. Viole then charging for it, which forces Mule Love to charge in as well while admitting that he's underestimated Viole, and manages to kick the connector away before Viole could grab it. Since the connector hits a wall instead of reaching the glove, the 1st pitch ends up being called a foul ball. However, it still ends up counting as Viole's 1st strike.

The 2nd pitch is shot. This time around, Mule Love's prepared for Viole's immobilization Bang. Viole attempts to do the exact same move by freezing the connector and then charging in to grab it, which causes Mule Love to do the same. However, instead of going for the connector, Viole decides to go for landing a blow against Mule Love, which surprises the Ranker again seeing that Viole has the balls to go after him directly.

Back at dorm 501, Prince announces to Kim that they will do nothing else about the test until they've dealt with Viole for what the FUG Slayer Candidate did to Rapdevil. Kim tries to get Prince to focus on the test at hand, but Prince refuses to listen as it becomes clear that he doesn't have much respect for Kim. At that point, two Regulars, a green-skin in a clown outfit and a short-man with goggles, appear to inform Prince that they can help him capture Viole as long as Prince makes them his teammates. Prince agrees as Kim watches from afar; giving off a sinister smile to show that he has a dirty plan behind Prince's back going on.

    Season 2: Ch. 16 (Chapter 95)

In dorm 201, Wangnan rallies the team since they only need one more teammate, and to secure three more rooms, to pass the test. He decides that their last teammate should be Ehwa, and for Akraptor to go out to secure rooms, which irritates Akraptor having to do all the dirty work. Meanwhile, through communication from his Pocket, Nia's seen listening in on their plan from dorm 101.

On Team Prince's side of things, Prince holds a hallway meeting with the clown outfit green-skin and goggled short-man newcomers to his team. Prince is told the plan to wait to attack Viole when the Slayer Candidate has to return to his dorm room to finish his test, which Prince finds stupid given that Viole will easily just beat him again with the freezing Bang. In return, he's provided a "Boong Boong" drink that the goggle Regular claims to raise resistance against Viole's freezing Bang. With the resistance drink, Prince becomes confident that he could actually pull it off. However, he remains suspicious if the drink is legit. Thus, Prince decides that he's going to test it on Ehwa first once he's arrived at her and Viole's dorm.

Continuing their bathing room duel, Viole and Mule Love engage in close-combat due to Viole choosing to attack the Ranker during the 2nd pitch. Mule Love's forced to admit that Viole's the real deal as the Slayer Candidate shows that he's already capable of using two shinsu Bangs at once. Eventually, Viole manages to stall Mule Love with a freezing Bang, but it wears off too quickly due to the power of a Ranker still being too great for Viole. As a result, Viole gets smashed across the bathing room by Mule Love's special Breaking Ball punch. Mule Love then grabs his remote connector, and throws it at the glove to finish the round; which hands Viole his second strike.

    Season 2: Ch. 17 (Chapter 96)

At Viole's dorm, Ehwa remains sitting in the room confused as to whether or not Viole's a bad person since he didn't kill her when he had the chance. Prince then arrives at the dorm, and offers her a drink, which she lets him into the dorm. He hands the drink over to Ehwa, which she admits that she's a bit thirsty, and decides to take a drink. However, she falls over in pain due to something that was put into it. The goggle and green-skin Regulars arrive to reveal that their actual plan was for green-skin to take possession of a member of the Great Family, which green-skin goes into Ehwa to possess her since she's a member of the Great Yeon Family. Prince stands before the google Regular ready to fight him for being tricked only to realize that he now has to deal with a possessed Ehwa as well.

At the bathing area, Viole remains lying on the floor after being hit by the Ranker's Breaking Ball. Mule Love takes the moment to reveal his tragic past about seeing his parents die to FUG, and that he's out for revenge against said organization. He sees his fight against Viole as his own personal grudge against FUG, but also asks Viole why he joined FUG, which Viole answers that there's a certain girl (Rachel) he needs to see again at a higher Tower Floor. Mule Love asks if its to get revenge on this girl, but Viole answers that he won't know until he sees her again. Viole then gets up again for the next pitch, which could be the final one.

The 3rd pitch is shot. Viole freezes the connector again, and Mule Love charges forward to finish the Slayer Candidate off. However, Viole manages to surprise the Ranker for the 3rd time by copying Mule Love's techniques that he just witnessed during the 2nd pitch, such as the Ranker's Blue Oar technique; a shinsu platform that Mule Love's being standing on for fast transportation around the battle. Viole even manages to copy Mule Love's close-combat moves, such as the Breaking Ball punch, which causes the Ranker to admit that Viole is crazy.

Back in the dorm hallway, Prince is forced to go on the run due to the possessed Ehwa now trying to kill him. He manages to avoid her flame attacks until retreated back into his room, dorm 501. He then pulls out the remote from his hidden Lighthouse in order to close the door before Ehwa reaches him. He's then surprised to find out that Rapdevil's still alive now that the latter understands where Prince hid their dorm's remote.

    Season 2: Ch. 18 (Chapter 97)

In dorm 501, Prince is shocked to see Rapdevil still alive, who points out Prince's stupidity for not noticing that had the Devil of the Right Arm actually died, Prince would have failed the test since it would have left their room unmanned. Prince questions if Kim was behind Rapdevil's betrayal, which Rapdevil admits to be the case that Kim had come up with a plan to betray the son of Lurker Cash, and that Kim is actually a much worse person than he thought. At that same time, Kim is seen having infiltrated Nia and Wangnan's dorm 101 room, which Nia looks heartbroken.

Meanwhile, Wangnan continues his side of the test. He forces the yogurt lady, named Yeongsuk, to screw over her roommate, Bruce, by getting him to open their dorm, which Wangnan knocks Bruce out with a shinsu bomb. Thus, securing Team Wangnan their 4th room. Meanwhile, Horyang deals with a different Regular duo, and manages to secure a 5th room for the team. Wangnan gets all excited that all that's left is to befriend Ehwa, and secure her room, which would give them the needed seven companions and six rooms to complete the test. He calls Nia over his Pocket about the news, but is left stunned to hear Kim's voice instead. Kim reveals that Nia had let Team Lurker into their dorm. That Nia has actually been working for them this whole time as a member of Lurker Cash, which Nia apologizes to Wangnan for lying to him this entire time. Even the coupon he gave to Wangnan being a tracker for Lurker Cash.

Kim also reveals that everything Nia has done with Wangnan up until this point has actually been at the order of Lurker Cash, and that even the noodle restaurant that Nia works for is owned by the company. Wangnan asks Nia how he could betray the trust of the group they formed, which causes Nia to bring up his backstory. Of how he lost everything on the 20th Floor, but was one day saved by an old lady working at a restaurant, and chose to stay with her. Eventually, gangs, such as Kim's, began to bother the restaurant, which forced the old lady to be put in great debt with Lurker Cash in order to get rid of the gangs, which caused Nia to become a member of the loan company.

Wanting to help the old lady that saved him, Nia reveals that he did everything for her, but mentions how he was forced to do bad things for Lurker Cash in return. He brings up how he began to regain confidence being around Wangnan and company, but begins to cry knowing that he has to betray people into failing the test that have been so nice to him. Nia continues to cry and apologize for being a bad boy, but Wangnan informs him that Nia is indeed a good person for having found someone worth protecting in the Tower.

Letting them finish their moment, Kim then takes the remote from Nia to steal away dorm 101 for Team Lurker. He also informs Nia that the restaurant old lady's debt isn't going to be lifted, and explains that since he's realized that Prince is too stupid to follow, he's decided to leave Prince and Lurker Cash behind in order to return to climbing the Tower, which leaves Nia stunned since he realizes that he betrayed Wangnan for nothing. Nia tries to take the remote back, but Kim uses this moment to repeatedly beat and brutalize Nia. All while Wangnan's begging him to stop. The beating eventually goes silent, which Team Wangnan realizes that Nia has been killed by Kim. Having heard Kim beat Nia to death over his Pocket, an enraged Wangnan makes it clear to Kim that he will kill him for this.

Long Summary

20th Floor's Viole Test - The Trustworthy Room

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_01.jpg
Mule Love explains the dorm building arena for the Trustworthy Room test

Through the remote given to the Regulars, Mule Love begins to explain the rules of the Trustworthy Room test. He states that the challenge for the Regulars is to acquire a team of seven other teammates, and to secure six rooms including their own, before Viole completes his solo objective. The Ranker informs them that the test may now begin, and that the Regulars can either protect, or steal the other rooms of the test.

Mule Love also explains that the remote with the blue and red buttons they've been given has the power to open and close the door to their room, and that two special connectors at the bottom of the remote is used to form teams, or steal other people's rooms. He points out that they can place their own connector in another Regulars remote, and pressing the blue button would make that person their teammate while pressing the red button would steal the room away from the person that lost. The Ranker warns the Regulars that if they don't trust someone, they shouldn't open the door to him/her, or hand their remote over to the untrustworthy person.

The dorm remote and its connectors

Mule Love informs the Regulars that the first team to acquire seven teammates and six rooms will pass the test. However, he warns the Regulars to be careful as they can't take the remote out from their room; meaning that one of the two roommates has to stay in their dorm to protect their remote while the other heads out with one of the remote connectors to gain allies or steal rooms. The Ranker also mentions that at least one of their six rooms has to be on the same floor as the dorm room that houses Viole and Ehwa.

Continuing his explanation, Mule Love informs the Regulars that the test will automatically end if the number of active Regulars during the test drops below seven since that many is needed to pass it. He also informs them of the winning condition for Viole to win it on his own. That if he steals the connector from Mule Love at the bathing room, and returns to his dorm room with it, he will win. With the rules established, Mule Love asks for the Trustworthy Room test to begin.

Looking down at his remote, Wangnan tells Nia that things just got really complicated. He brings up how their overall goal appears to be securing five other teammates and rooms including what they already have before Viole completes his task against Mule Love, which Nia agrees with. Nia begins to worry that the problem will be protecting or stealing the other rooms, which Wangnan deduces that one of them has to stay while the other goes out in the hallways to find allies.

Start of the Trustworthy Room Test

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_03.jpg
Wangnan comes up with the H.I. Room plan (Hide In Room)

Nia points out how they will no doubt meet Viole out there, which Wangnan concludes that a fight with him, as well as with the other Regulars, is definitely going to happen. Thinking the situation over, Wangnan decides to go with the H.I. Room plan, which confuses Nia. Wangnan explains that H.I. Room is short for hiding in their current room, and that they should wait it out until the time comes to strike. Nia asks how the plan will keep Viole from completing his objective against Mule Love, which Wangnan explains that for one, his task to beat the Ranker on his own is pretty much impossible. The other reason is that Viole can use this opportunity to eliminate anyone that steps out of their rooms until the number of Regulars drop below seven remaining; causing the Regulars altogether to lose, which Nia admits that he understands. Remaining silent for a few moments, Wangnan admits to Nia that he's scared of facing Viole, which Nia understands once more.

In another dorm is the room controlled by the Yeo sisters, Goseng and Miseng. Goseng informs Miseng that she plans to go outside their room in order to meet with Wangnan, and asks for Miseng to not cry, or open the door for anyone else. Miseng tells her that she won't since she's not a baby anymore, which causes Goseng to pat her head, and admits that Miseng is becoming a bit more mature.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_04.jpg
Goseng leaves the safety of her dorm room in order to gather teammates asap

Goseng tells Miseng that she will be back soon, and closes the door; leaving Miseng alone, and worried, in their dorm. Now alone in the hallway, Goseng swallows her spit in fear. Looking around at the hallway doors all around her, Goseng deduces that despite being scared at the moment, the Trustworthy Room test will require speed to complete since it needs to be done before Viole returns to his dorm with the connector he needs to steal from Mule Love. Goseng figures that their best option isn't to stay hiding in their rooms, but that the key to win is to move quickly, and trust that others will form a team with her. She begins walking down the hallway, but questions why she's taking the initiative rather than the men in the test. Meanwhile, a shadowy figure is seen behind her.

Within another dorm room, Prince is seen complaining that this test actually isn't that complicated. Swinging around a nunchuck weapon, Prince deduces that their best option to win would just be to defeat Viole. He gets up off his bed ready to head out to fight Viole, but asks for his roommate, Rapdevil, to close his eyes.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_05.jpg
Prince plans to hide the remote from Rapdevil before heading out to find Viole

Prince informs the Devil of the Right Arm that he plans to hide the remote, and presses the button on his remote to open the door into their room. Rapdevil questions why Prince plans to leave the door open, which Prince answers that it's Rapdevil's job to protect their room, and that even if Rapdevil loses, he's going to hide the remote anyway so they don't lose the room.

He asks Rapdevil once more to close his eyes, which the Devil of the Right Arm finally chooses to do so. Hearing Prince move about their room to look for a hiding spot, Prince finally asks Rapdevil to open his eyes. He tells the Devil of the Right Arm to keep the room safe while he goes out to defeat the guy from FUG. Prince then exits the room; leaving Rapdevil on his own.

At Viole's dorm room, Ehwa stands between him and the door, and tells Viole that she can't let him go. Viole continues to look at her as Ehwa explains that she's already deduced that Viole plans to kill the other Regulars to make it easier for him to complete the test. She then complains to Viole as to why he's forced them all to take part in this test that's been designed for him to pass on his own when all he had to do to make everyone happy was choose a group of teammates. However, Viole questions how she believes that this is a scenario where everyone will end up happy in the end.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_06.jpg
Ehwa attempts to keep Viole in their room, but gets hit by his immobilization Bang

Ehwa answers that to be what she believes had he just picked seven teammates, but Viole counters that there's no way to make everyone happy. Only that there's a way to make one person happy. He asks Ehwa to hand the remote over to help, which causes Ehwa to ask if Viole really wants to make everyone else fail. Seeing Viole remain silent, Ehwa calls him a bad guy, and begins to summon her powerful flames all around herself. With the flames swirling all around her, Ehwa claims that she will stop Viole here with all her strength. Viole continues to stand before her, but Ehwa warns him to give up, and informs Viole that she still hasn't been able to fully control her fire-powers to the point that even the Rankers in her Yeon Family have had a hard time keeping her under control. Ehwa launches her flames at Viole, but Bam orders her to stop, which freezes Ehwa in place. The flames begin to subside as Viole walks passed the frozen Ehwa. He grabs the remote from her hand, and apologizes to her since like everyone else in the test, she needs to fail here.

Viole clicks the button on the remote to open the door out of their dorm room, and continues to walk towards it. Ehwa is seen struggling in her mind to stop him knowing that letting him go will mean that it's game over. She continues to try to move as Viole drops the remote to leave it in the room. Still unable to move, Ehwa continues to beg in her mind for someone to stop him before he leaves as Prince arrives at the entrance.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_07.jpg
Prince attempts to get Viole to duel him

Prince yells at Viole where he's going, and charges at the man from FUG. The son of Lurker Cash pulls out a short purple needle, and orders for Viole to beat him first before moving on to fight Mule Love. He stabs his needle at Viole, who easily dodges out of the way, but Prince manages to pick up the remote Viole left on the ground. Pressing the button, Prince closes the dorm entrance to leave him, Viole and Ehwa stuck in the room together.

Giving off a laugh, Prince tells Viole that he can't escape now. He pulls out his needle again, and informs Viole that now's the time to see who will win between the two of them. Prince stands ready to fight Viole, but before anything else could happen, Viole speeds over to the remote, and presses the button to quickly exit the dorm room. Prince and Ehwa are left shocked at what they just witnessed as Viole is next seen walking down the hallway.

Back to Miseng's dorm (201), the school-girl remains sitting in her room until she hears someone knocking at the door. Getting up thinking that it's Goseng returning, Miseng hears the knocker tell her that it's actually the woman that was with her earlier, which confuses Miseng. Miseng asks if it's really the woman who gave her yogurt from before, which the woman answers to be correct.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_08.jpg
The yogurt woman attempts to bait Miseng to open her door while Goseng is out

The woman informs Miseng that she's here in order to become friends, and asks for Miseng to open the door. However, Miseng tells her that she's not supposed to since Goseng warned her not to. The woman then asks if Miseng doesn't trust her, which Miseng struggles to come up with a proper answer. The woman then warns Miseng that someone is getting closer to the dorm room and begins to beg the school-girl to open the door for her. Becoming confused, the woman continues to beg for Miseng to open the door before the enemy reaches her, which causes Miseng to pull out the remote from her bag in order to open the door.

In another dorm room (301), Akraptor gets ready to take part in the Trustworthy Room test, but admits to Horyang that he finds the exam to be troublesome for him. He states to Horyang that he's better off in tests where two sides just fight one another, and figures that this kind of test must have been a pain to put together. Looking at Horyang, Akraptor asks what he should do, but he also offers Horyang as the one to leave their dorm room in order to meet with the the glasses girl he has a crush on, Goseng. Akraptor explains that he has no desire to betray Horyang, so the giant has nothing to worry about on their end. However, Horyang tells Akraptor that the latter should be the one to head out.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_09.jpg
Horyang states that he will stay knowing that Akraptor is worried about Miseng

Confused by the statement, Horyang explains that he knows that Akraptor has been worrying about Miseng. Horyang explains that he's deduced already that something must have happened to Akraptor's daughter in the past, and has been treating Miseng like his own. He admits to finding this whole situation stupid, but states that he's fine with Akraptor going if it means that Miseng will remain safe. Thinking it over, Akraptor stays in the room stating that he's not stupid enough to risk his life for a kid that means nothing to him. However, Horyang informs him that he's decided not to leave the room either, which catches Akraptor's attention. Akraptor asks if he's chosen to abandon Goseng, which Horyang answers that he's not stupid either. He looks at Akraptor, and asks who between the two of them is the stupider Regular.

Arriving at dorm room 201, Akraptor knocks on the door to see if Miseng and Goseng are alright. Akraptor asks for Goseng to open the door, and announces that he's here to become their teammate. However, the room remains silent. Beginning to worry, Akraptor asks again for the door to open, and reassures them that he's not here to steal their room. Looking at the door of the silent room 201, Akraptor wonders if someone got to Miseng and Goseng already before he did. He yells at the door once more for the two girls to come out, and begins to pound on it hoping to get their attention.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_10.jpg
Miseng tells Akraptor that she won't open the door for anyone until Goseng returns

Akraptor's voice gets louder claiming that the way they're acting isn't funny, but even then, the room remains silent, which causes Akraptor to fear for the worst. Akraptor continues to pound on the door hoping for someone to answer. He states once more that he's not there to hurt them, but reaches the point of claiming that he will break the door down if no one truly answers him. At this point, he finally hears a voice telling him to stop.

Recognizing the voice as Miseng's, Akraptor's eyes turn red in anger telling her that her not responding to him got him scared. Inside the room, Miseng is seen hiding underneath her bed, and tells Akraptor that him yelling made her scared as well. Akraptor gives off a sigh, and asks for Miseng to open the room, but she informs him that she can't since Goseng told her not to to the point that she didn't even open it for the yogurt lady that stopped by earlier.

Akraptor states that he's nothing like the pig lady, but Miseng informs him that he's worse than her, which enrages Akraptor. He asks why she considers him worse than the yogurt woman, which Miseng answers that he tried to kick her out of the test in the 1st Round, got mad at the nice yogurt lady, and looks like a bad person. Miseng also tells Akraptor that her parents told her not to be friends with bad people. which ticks Akraptor off even further. Having enough of this, Akraptor turns around to head back to his dorm room; claiming that Miseng should be begging him to be her teammate since she's the one in need.

Akraptor takes a seat at the door to keep Miseng company

He leaves off telling Miseng to enjoy her time with the yogurt lady, but Miseng calls out to him not to go. Akraptor looks back as Miseng tells him that she's scared of being by herself. He then asks again for her to open the door if she's so scared, which Miseng reminds him about what Goseng told her. Giving up, Akraptor takes a seat against the closed door to stay by Miseng's side.

Remaining silent, Miseng calls out to Akraptor wondering if he's still there, which he answers that he is. She questions why he hasn't left, which he also answers that it's because she told him not to go. Akraptor takes this time to ask a question of his own wondering why Miseng entered the Tower despite still being a child, which Miseng answers that it's because her parents told her to go since she has the potential to become a great person.

Moments pass, and Miseng asks why Akraptor still hasn't left the door, which Akraptor answers that he wanted to be a great man. He flashes back to a moment in his past thinking about how he wanted to be a great man in order to have the power to protect his own child. Miseng continues to ask if he's still there wondering if he's getting bored, which Akraptor answers to not be the case.

The yogurt woman returns, and offers Akraptor a team-up against Miseng

Miseng asks if the two should play a game, but despite Akraptor saying no, she forces a word-play game on him, which annoys him that she's forcing her wish on him. The two go through the motions of the word-play game saying words to one another that starts with the letter of the final letter in the last said word. Eventually, Akraptor spots the yogurt woman approaching him, who asks if he's also someone that was targeting the kid. She informs him that Miseng is someone who won't open the door no matter what despite her attempt to bait her into opening it earlier. She states that Akraptor is better off giving up, but offers him the chance to team up with her to take out the little girl together. Akraptor remains silent, but gives off a smile; calling the yogurt woman a swindler.

The woman is left confused by the statement as Akraptor gets up, and prepares his umbrella weapon. Moving towards the woman, Akraptor points out to her that he doesn't trust anyone who wears more than two rings. She questions if Akraptor has decided to team up with the useless kid, which Akraptor answers that he has, and doesn't view the yogurt woman as someone of use either.

Getting angry, the woman activates her power, and summons a red stream of shinsu from her ring. Ready to attack, the woman claims that Akraptor will regret what he just said, and fires a giant blast of shinsu in his direction. An explosion occurs as the yogurt woman gives off a grin thinking she's already won. However, the explosion subsides as she sees Akraptor having blocked the attack by turning his umbrella into a shield.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_13.jpg
Akraptor vs. the yogurt woman

Akraptor is left disappointed that the woman turned out so predictable, and asks if she's not a married woman. Annoyed by the taunt, the woman attempts to summon another shinsu attack from her rings, but Akraptor charges forward, and stabs her with his umbrella. Blood spills out as the woman screams out in pain. Akraptor then grabs her mouth, and orders her to shut up since Miseng on the other side of the door will hear her cry of pain.

In dorm 501, which was Prince and Rapdevil's room, the Devil of the Right Arm continues to sit by waiting in silence. However, the silence is broken as he looks to the entrance at someone entering the room to greet him.

Continuing to run through the hallway is Goseng, who reaches Wangnan and Nia's room, dorm 101. She decides to take a short break after becoming exhausted running through the long hallway for so long, and knocks on the door. She informs Wangnan that it's Goseng, and asks for him to open the door. Not getting an answer, she begins to pound harder on the door, and asks for them to open the door quick, which Wangnan and Nia decide to do so.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_14.jpg
Goseng orders Wangnan and Nia to hand over their remote to become teammates

To Goseng's confusion upon entering the room, she sees the sweating Wangnan and Nia hiding behind objects prepared to fight. She asks what they're doing, to which Wangnan answers that it's all part of their H.I Room plan. Moments later, Goseng is seen scolding Wangnan and Nia for following such a cowardly plan, and asks if the two are even considered men. Wangnan answers that the plan wasn't because he was afraid, but was established to hide in their room, but Goseng ignores the answer, and orders Wangnan to hand over his remote to him. Seeing Wangnan confused, Goseng asks if they don't trust her, to which Wangnan answers that he doesn't have any real reason to at the moment.

Thinking it over, Goseng admits that she understands why it's hard for Wangnan to trust anyone at the moment considering the desperate sitaution he's been put in with Lurker Cash. Wangnan remains silent in agreement, which causes Goseng to instead hand over her remote connector to Wangnan, which confuses Wangnan even further. Taking a seat next to Wangnan, Goseng informs him to do whatever he wants with it; to either take her as a teammate, or force her to fail. Goseng explains that she took the 20th Floor test ready to give up everything, and she has no regrets depending on how her results for the test turn out.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_15.jpg
Goseng admits to Wangnan that she's become more confident watching him

Wangnan finds the answer surprising, which causes Goseng to continue by stating that she's only gotten this far due to her being lucky, and has already realized at this point that there are many other people out there that are better than her. Goseng also states that her weak self has made her depressed, and figured that she was going to lose the 20th Floor test anyway. However, the fact that she's made it this far in the 20th Floor test alongside Miseng, and Wangnan who's also in a desperate situation, has caused her to regain some confidence that she can perhaps make it through this. She tells Wangnan that just like him, she now wants to trust in her own strength a bit more. Having heard Goseng's story, Wangnan gives her the thumbs-up asking if she sees him as her mentor, which Goseng informs him that that comment isn't funny.

Meanwhile, Prince continues to run down the hallway in an attempt to catch up to Viole. Prince calls out to him for being a coward, and orders Viole to fight him properly. He finally comes to a halt, but is shown to be irritated that Viole continues to ignore him. At this point, he spots Kim running towards him, and questions why Kim appears to be in a hurry.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_16.jpg
Wangnan and Goseng run into Akraptor still keeping Miseng company

Prince asks if he perhaps saw where Viole went, but Kim states that that's not important, and is here to inform Prince that he saw that something happened back at his and Rapdevil's dorm room. Wondering what happened to Rapdevil, Prince asks what's going on, which Kim answers that the Devil of the Right Arm is dead. The revelation ends up confusing Prince even more.

Still sitting outside Miseng's room, Akraptor continues the word-play game with Miseng while the defeated yogurt lady remains tied up nearby. Moments later, Goseng and Wangnan arrive at Miseng's dorm as well as the two sides greet one another. Wangnan jokes if Akraptor is sitting outside, because Miseng kicked him out, but Akraptor answers that it's none of his business. Wangnan reveals that he saw everything through his lighthouse showing that Akraptor can't go anywhere without worrying about Miseng, which shocks Akraptor. He and Wangnan begin to bicker with one another as Akraptor calls out Wangnan for being scared of Viole hiding in his room like a coward, which Wangnan attempts to deny.

At this point, the two of them spot a figure in the distance they believe to be Viole. Wangnan and Akraptor begin to desperately pound on the door begging for Miseng to open, which she finally does after Goseng tells her that she's out here with them as well. The two men fall to the ground after the door opens as Miseng runs over to Goseng. She asks Miseng if she was scared all this time, which Miseng denies. Goseng congratulates her for being stronger than the two cowardly men with them, which causes Wangnan and Akraptor's eyes to turn red in anger.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_17.jpg
Wangnan, Goseng and Akraptor discuss the current situation of their team

Resting against the wall, Wangnan asks about the location of Viole, which Goseng answers that he just arrived on this floor since no one from the last floor was able to stop him. Wangnan cries out that that was a given since he's a monster of destruction, and begins to cry in fear, which causes Goseng to question if Wangnan truly is someone she can trust. Fear takes hold of him as Wangnan states that everyone from the previous floor Viole was on must be dead. However, Akraptor believes that doesn't appear to be the case.

Asking what Akraptor means by that, the gray-haired Regular answers that he believes that Viole comes off as someone who's only here to fight the Ranker rather than actually try to kill anyone off. Goseng agrees with the statement as well believing that it's the only explanation as to how he got passed everyone from his dorm level so quickly, and points out how he even skipped over the yogurt lady that's still tied up outside their dorm room. Wangnan remains silent thinking about what he just heard as Akraptor reminds the group that they need to finish making their team, and secure enough rooms before Viole returns to his dorm after his duel with the Ranker.

Goseng and Wangnan go over their current situation, and inform the group that they were quick to form a group of six teammates so far, but are still at a disadvantage since Kim Lurker and Prince's group already had a team to begin with, and that the latter's team controls the building area surrounding Viole and Ehwa's dorm. Wangnan comes to the conclusion that with the way things are at the moment, no one can compete with that team. Elsewhere, Prince returns to dorm 501 with Kim as they see a bloodied Rapdevil sitting dead against the wall. Seeing the state the Devil of the Right Arm was left in shocks Prince, who asks Kim for the bastard that did this.

    Mule Love's 1st Pitch

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_18.jpg
Viole reaches the bathing room for his baseball-like duel with Mule Love

Viole continues to travel through the dorm building as he's seen walking down the staircase to the floor that has Mule Love waiting for him. He enters the bathing room where Mule Love sits before him with two giant yellow gloves floating in the air. Mule Love notes how he finds it odd that Viole chose to appear before him without fighting the other Regulars, and questions if either Viole hates hurting others, or if the FUG Slayer is so confident in himself that he can beat the Ranker despite the other Regulars being here. The Ranker gives off one final warning for Viole to choose his teammates, but Viole remains silent.

Mule Love continues his talk by stating that he's seen the last FUG Slayer before Viole, Karaka, as someone that was given special missions from FUG to kill certain Regulars during his climb up the Tower. He also points out how these special FUG missions resulted in helping a particular Regular pass the test, or winning the test alone to make sure that every other Regular failed. He points out to Viole that these missions set by FUG were done to make fun of the rules set by the Tower. Getting up from his seat, Mule Love tells Viole that he can't respect him since Viole is an example of someone making fun of the rules. The Ranker puts his remote connector into a floating object that acts as a shooting mechanism, like a pitching machine in baseball. Mule Love explains his game to Viole that he's going to provide the FUG Slayer three chances.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_19_7.jpg
1st pitch: Mule Love surprised to see that Viole can use the immobilization Bang

The test being that Viole has to catch the connector after being shot out of the shooter before it reaches the giant glove on the other side of the room. He points out that if Viole fails to catch it after three attempts, he will fail the 20th Floor test. However, he still offers Viole the possibility to give up at any time to return to the Regulars to choose his teammates. He also warns Viole that he plans to interfere with Viole's attempt to catch the connector, and might accidentally kill the FUG Slayer in the process. Mule Love asks if Viole is still willing to take his test after hearing the rules, which Viole answers that he will.

The Ranker states that the test will now begin as he stands alongside his giant glove prepared to interrupt Viole. Mule Love orders for the shooter to fire the first ball as the remote connector goes flying out of it. The Ranker watches Viole make the first move, and sees the FUG Slayer raise one of his hands. However, Mule Love remains confused as to why Viole is just standing there not doing anything, but to the Rankers sudden surprise, he sees that Viole was able to completely immobilize the connector.

Viole charges toward the frozen connector, which stuns Mule Love that he's just witnessed someone beneath the Tower's 20th Floor already having incredible shinsu control. Seeing Viole about to grab the connector, Mule Love admits that he underestimated the FUG Slayer, and prepares himself with shinsu body-reinforcement. The Ranker instantly appears at the location of Viole, and kicks the connector away before the FUG Slayer could grab it. Mule Love lands back on the ground as Viole sees that the floor of the bathing area has been destroyed along the path that the Ranker charged toward him. Viole and Mule Love look in the direction that the connector was kicked towards, which the Ranker claims that the first pitch was a foul ball since it hit a wall, and counts as Viole's first strike.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_20.jpg
Prince is greeted by two Regulars who wish to join his team

Returning to dorm 501, Prince looks down at the defeated Devil of the Right Arm thinking that it must have been Viole's doing. Kim questions how that's possible given that there was so little time to fight Rapdevil, which Prince answers that there's no one else amongst the current 20th Floor test group that could have been a match for the Devil of the Right Arm. Prince begins to get irritated that Viole did a cheap shot at his bodyguard while he was gone, and claims that this is unforgivable. In return, Kim believes that they should begin to secure rooms while Viole is gone, but Prince orders him to shut up.

Kim remains confused by Prince telling him to be quiet, which Prince explains that the former has no self-respect for Rapdevil after what Viole did to him. Kim tries to reminds Prince that passing the test is more important at the moment, but Prince orders him once more to shut up. He shouts at Kim that before anything else happens, he will kill the FUG Slayer with his own hands. Prince's announcement leaves Kim speechless as two new Regulars appear at the dorm asking if Prince truly wants to catch Viole. Looking at the entrance to his dorm room, Prince spots a tall green-skinned Regular, and a short hooded Regular with goggles, standing there. The Lurker Cash son asks what they're doing here, which the two answer that they have an idea to catch Viole.

Back to the bathing area, Mule Love is seen putting his connector back into the pitching machine. Since the Ranker had to intervene kicking the connector away, the last pitch didn't count since the connector didn't reach the glove. He looks back at Viole, and admits to himself that he was caught off-guard; almost allowing the FUG Slayer to catch it not realizing that Viole has incredible shinsu control to make immobilization Bangs.

Mule Love's 2nd Pitch and Kim Lurker's Scheme

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_21.jpg
2nd pitch: Mule Love surprised to see that Viole has the courage to fight a Ranker

However, the Ranker deduces that he now has the advantage having seen how Viole plans to catch the connector. Mule Love figures that the next time Viole uses an immobilization Bang on the connector, the FUG Slayer will never get near it. Preparing himself once more, Mule Love fires the 2nd pitch. The Ranker sees Viole going through the motions with his hand again to perform another immobilization Bang run, which the Ranker finds to be stupid that the FUG Slayer is attempting the same move.

Like before, the Ranker reinforces his body with shinsu to perform another charge. As the two approach the frozen connector, Mule Love yells at Viole if the FUG Slayer is underestimating him. However, the Ranker becomes confused again seeing Viole stop moving. Reinforcing his fists with shinsu, Viole instead attempts to punch the Ranker, which leaves Mule Love stunned that Viole's attempting to go directly for him.

Returning to dorm 501, Prince questions the two newcomer Regulars if there truly is a way to capture Viole. The goggle Regular answers that to be the truth, and informs Prince that they will tell him the plan if the son of Lurker Cash agrees to add the two of them to his team. Kim questions if the two Regulars can truly be trusted, but Prince agrees that the two of them can join. However, Prince informs the green-skin and goggle Regulars that he will only connect with him after they've caught Viole. In return, the two Regulars give their thanks for being accepted. Kim is left confused as to how Prince could trust the newcomers, which Prince answers that he finds them more useful than the guy (Kim) hiding like a coward from Viole. Turning to the goggle Regular, Prince orders him to tell the plan, and states that he will die if the plan turns out to be lame.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_22.jpg
Kim revealed to have been planning a betrayal behind Prince's back

Giving off a nasty grin, the goggle Regular answers that there's no way this plan will disappoint him, which pleases Prince. The son of Lurker Cash then exits the dorm room to hear the plan with the two newcomers; leaving Kim alone calling out for Prince to stop. However, Kim is seen giving off a sinister smile to himself to show that this was all part of his plan.

Switching over to dorm 201, Wangnan is seen rallying his team of Regulars with a win chant, which Miseng takes part in as well. However, Akraptor and Goseng remain off to the side in confusion wondering what the two are doing. Wangnan announces that all they need to do now is secure three more rooms, and that he's decided that their final teammate should be the fire-lady, Ehwa, which Miseng agrees with. He then points over to Akraptor for him to go out, and steal three other rooms, which Akraptor shouts back why he has to do it. Wangnan admits that it's because he's scared to go out, which annoys Akraptor even further.

Wangnan then turns to Miseng, and informs her that once they pass the test, he will provide her with sweet-and-sour pork meal since he has a coupon for it, which excites her. The comment irritates Akraptor even more since he's the one being forced to go out and fight. Meanwhile, Nia is seen from dorm 101 listening in on their conversation from his Pocket. He hears Akraptor order Wangnan to follow him as well, which causes Wangnan to question why he has to go.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_23.jpg
Prince being handed an immobilization resistance drink from his new teammate

Standing out in the dorm hallway is Prince and the two newcomers, green-skin and goggles. The Lurker Cash son asks about the plan they've been hyping up, which the goggle Regular answers that the plan is simple; to hide out in Ehwa's room to attack Viole when he gets back. This answer angers Prince since he doesn't want to wait around for Viole, and mentions how Viole has a Bang move that can easily freeze him. However, the goggle Regular answers that they can take care of that for him. Confused by the answer, the goggle Regular pulls out a drink can that he reveals to be a Boong Boong drink.

Prince is left even more confused since it looks like an ordinary drink, but the goggle Regular reveals that it's a drink that has 1000 times more caffeine than coffee. That drinking it will increase his shinsu resistance to an incredibly high level. Giving off a giggle, the goggle Regular states that Prince will be sure to defeat Viole if he drinks this, which excites the son of Lurker Cash. Being handed the Boong Boong drink, Prince looks at it, and gives off a smile thinking that he finally has something to defeat the FUG Slayer. However, he looks back at them beginning to question if the two are lying to him, and wonders if they probably put something weird in the drink.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_24.jpg
2nd pitch: Viole vs. Mule Love

However, Prince comes up with a solution to have someone test it for him first, and decides to have Ehwa drink it. He announces to the group that they will now head over to Viole's dorm room.

Back to the bathing area, Mule Love dodges out of the way of Viole's shinsu punch, who realizes that the FUG Slayer was targetting him. The Ranker readies himself to counter, and performs a punch of his own on Viole. However, Viole raises his hand again, and manages to freeze the Ranker in place for a brief moment. Viole then charges for the connector as Mule Love chases after him; admitting that Viole is indeed a perfect choice for a FUG Slayer nominee since he can use two Bangs at once, and has the strength to freeze Rankers.

Catching up to Viole, Mule Love deduces that the FUG Slayer is still nowhere close to being on the level of a Ranker. Mule Love manages to land an Upshot punch to hit the connector away as Viole attempts to fire a beam of shinsu at the Ranker, which he easily dodges with his Slider technique. Mule Love is the next to attack, and charges at Viole to land a Fast Ball punch enhanced with shinsu on the FUG Slayer. Despite Viole attempting to block it with his right arm, Mule Love asks if the FUG Slayer truly believes that he can stop the attack of a Ranker. To Viole's surprise, the attack pushes him back as Mule Love's punch smashes the FUG Slayer into the edge of one of the baths. Mule Love then powers up the punch even further known as the Breaking Ball, which sends Viole flying across the bathing room. The Ranker then catches the connector, and throws it at the giant glove, which grabs it in return. Viole is left lying on the watery floor as Mule Love announces to the FUG Slayer that that's his second strike.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_25.jpg
Prince offers the resistance drink to Ehwa to see if its safe

Still in her and Viole's dorm room, Ehwa comments to herself that she finds everything about this situation annoying. Completely irritated, she thinks back to how Viole didn't even bother to look in her direction when he easily bypassed her, and states that this is yet another disgrace for her as a member of the Great Yeon Family. However, she also thinks about how even though Viole froze her, he didn't take the chance to go for the kill, and wonders if he's actually not a bad person. She also points out how he actually has a pretty decent look, which causes Ehwa to fall back onto her bed in embarrassment that she's having these kind of thoughts for a FUG Slayer jerk. At this point, Prince arrives at her dorm room.

Still holding the Boong Boong drink, Prince greets Ehwa, and offers her the drink stating that she must be thirsty. He hands the drink over to Ehwa, who assumes that Prince probably put something in it. Prince quickly denies it, and points out that that's impossible for him since the drink hasn't even been opened yet. Ehwa thinks to herself that he actually caught her during a moment where she actually is pretty thirsty at the moment, and thanks him for the drink. In return, Prince states to leave him some since it's the only drink he has. Prince watches Ehwa drink down the Boong Boong drink to see how she will react to it, and gives off a giggle in his mind seeing how naive Ehwa turned out to be.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_26.jpg
A confused Prince watches Ehwa get possessed by another Regular

His suspicion that something was in the drink turned out to be true as Ehwa falls over in pain. Prince asks what's wrong, which Ehwa answers that she feels something in her body. It's at this point that the goggle and green-skinned Regulars appear at the room. The goggle Regular gives off a laugh stating that he predicted that he would give the drink to Ehwa, which stuns Prince.

Yelling at the goggle Regular to answer what he just did to Ehwa, goggle looks to his green-skinned teammate, who asks if someone that's part of a Great Family will make a good host. Revealing that the green-skinned person is a puppet controlled by another Regular back at his dorm, the Regular answers that its a given that a member of a Great Family is going to make a perfect host for him. The green skinned Regular shoots out of its clothes, and enters into Ehwa's body.

Prince claims to the goggle Regular that he will kill them for pulling a stunt for them as a drug dealer. However, the goggle Regular gives off a smile, and points out that before fighting him, Prince should deal with Ehwa first. A confused Prince looks in Ehwa's direction, and sees that her fire-powers are beginning to act up again due to now being possessed by another Regular. Fearing for his life, Prince chooses to go on the run.

    Mule Love's 3rd Pitch

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_27.jpg
Viole reveals to Mule Love that he joined FUG in order to meet with someone

Back at the bathing room, Mule Love looks down at Viole, who remains lying on the floor after being blown back by the Ranker's attack. Walking up to Viole, Mule Love reveals his backstory to the FUG Slayer that he watched his parents die to FUG right in front of him before he was chosen to enter the Tower. The Ranker points out that his one true desire entering the Tower is to one day get revenge on FUG for being the people who killed his parents, and tells Viole that killing their FUG Slayer right now would be a good start on the path for revenge. Mule Love also states that it's because of this desire for revenge that he doesn't deserve to be the one in charge of the test since his personal issue is getting in the way of providing a true test for the current group.

Still looking down at Viole, Mule Love asks for the reason that made him join FUG, which Viole answers that there's someone he needs to meet at a higher Tower Floor. The Ranker asks if it's to get revenge on this person, which Viole also answers that he won't know for sure until he sees her again. Viole gets up once more as Mule Love informs him that this will be Viole's 3rd, and final attempt; stating that Viole will fail if he doesn't catch the connector here. He asks if Viole will have any regrets, which the FUG Slayer gives him the ok.

The Ranker and the FUG Slayer prepare themselves as the 3rd pitch fires out. Just like before, Viole uses his immobilization Bang to freeze the connector as Mule Love charges forward prepared to finish Viole off in one shot. However, for the third time in a row, Viole manages to surprise the Ranker by copying Mule Love's Upshot technique to deflect the punch with an uppercut of his own.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_28.jpg
3rd pitch: Mule Love surprised to see that Viole copied the Ranker's skills

The Ranker attempts to fire a shinsu beam, but is annoyed to see that Viole has copied his Slider dodging technique as well. He is then forced to watch Viole copy the Fast Ball punch technique that sent Viole flying in the second round, but Mule Love manages to block it with his arms. The Ranker gives of a smile assuming that Viole won't be able to copy his most unique move, but is stunned to see the red shinsu of his Breaking Ball form on Viole's first as it pushes against the Ranker's body. The Ranker is left giving off a smirk admitting to himself that the FUG Slayer he's fighting is absolutely crazy.

Back over to Prince, the son of Lurker Cash is currently on the run through the dorm hallways away from a possessed Ehwa. Looking back at Ehwa, he tries to think what could have happened to her as he spends the next moments dodging her flames. Prince decides that his best option would be to return to his dorm room (501) and try to make sense of this situation he's in. He manages to reach the dorm, and goes for the remote to close the door before the possessed Ehwa enters. Giving off a laugh to himself, Prince is proud that no one could have guessed that he hid the remote in his lighthouse. He manages to lock the door, and gives off a shiver when he sees the flames hit it on the other side. Giving off a sigh of relief, Prince takes the next moment to catch his breath, but doesn't realize that the supposed dead Devil of the Right Arm behind him isn't actually dead. Prince talks to himself wondering what he should do next, and is stunned to see Rapdevil now standing over him.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc17_29.jpg
Rapdevil reveals that he joined up with Kim to betray Prince

The Devil of the Right Arm mentions how he now knows how Prince hid the remote for their room. Prince quickly gets up in shocked stunned to see that Rapdevil is still alive. However, the Devil of the Right Arm reminds Prince of the rule that there must always be someone in the room to protect the remote, or else they will fail. Rapdevil questions Prince how he overlooked that he didn't fail the test despite believing that he died, and tells the son of Lurker Cash to pay attention to the rules, which irritates Prince. Calling Rapdevil a bastard, Prince questions if he's working together with the two drug dealers, and if Kim is possibly a part of this, which the Devil of the Right Arm answers that it was Kim that planned it all.

Rapdevil brings up how Kim showed up at their 501 dorm to see where Prince went, and was told by the Devil of the Right Arm that Prince went looking for Viole after hiding the remote. He tells Prince that Kim had come up with a plan that required the Devil of the Right Arm to join his side, and betray Prince. The Lurker Cash son complains how Kim believes that he can pass this test without him, but Rapdevil informs him that the test is already over. To Prince's confusion, the Devil of the Right Arm tells him that the guy known as Kim Lurker is a much more dangerous person than he thought. In another room, Kim is seen talking with his teammates in dorm 101 while Nia is seen sitting in silence nearby.

    Betrayal Within Wangnan's Team

Wangnan's group securing the last few dorm rooms they need to complete the test

At Wangnan's location, he and Akraptor are seen forcing the yogurt lady, finally revealed to be named Yeongsuk, greet her teammate at her dorm room. The man inside asks if Yeongsuk managed to steal the room they were aiming for, but Yeongsuk apologizes to her teammate as one of Wangnan's shinsu balls explodes on the both of them. Wangnan and Akraptor tie up Yeongsuk and her teammate as Wangnan grabs their remote; claiming that his plan turned out great. Akraptor admits that at the very least, Wangnan is good at coming up with cheap plans as Wangnan forces the yogurt woman and her teammate to fail the test, and are teleported out.

With a another room taken, Wangnan calls over to Horyang, who finished up stealing a room from two incredibly frightened Regulars. Wangnan falls to his bed laughing in excitement that their team now has five rooms secure, and that all that's left to do is to head over to Ehwa's dorm to befriend her, and secure her room. Akraptor reminds him that the test isn't over yet, and shouldn't be announcing their victory just yet, but Wangnan ignores it, and states that they should take a short break. Wangnan decides to use this moment to call Nia believing that he must be lonely having to wait it out back at dorm 101. Calling up Nia from his Pocket, Wangnan asks how his lovely Nia is keeping the room safe, but is surprised to hear Kim answering the Pocket for him to inform Wangnan that the traitor known as Nia is doing fine here. Wangnan is left stunned hearing Kim's voice, who continues to speak by stating that he doesn't know what will happen to dorm room 101.

Kim reveals that Nia betrayed Wangnan and his team

Wangnan orders for Kim to tell him why he's in his and Nia's room, which Kim answers that it's because Nia opened it for him, which confuses Wangnan even further. Wangnan refuses to believe it, but Kim reassures him that it's the truth. Turning to Nia, Kim provides him the Pocket, and asks for the delivery boy to tell Wangnan himself. Wangnan asks about Nia's well-being wanting to know if Kim did anything to him, but Nia answers with an apology. He tells Wangnan that he had been lying to him all this time, which causes Wangnan to begin fearing for the worst. He begs Nia to tell him that he's lying, but Nia begins to break down in tears telling him that it's the truth. Kim interrupts to point out how stupid Wangnan actually is, and informs him that the restaurant Nia works for is actually one of several that's owned by Lurker Cash. He reminds Wangnan of the statement he said before entering the 20th Floor test of how the people of Lurker Cash know what Wangnan eats and drinks, which shocks Wangnan.

Thinking back to when Kim and Nia talked with one another when the latter delivered him noodles, Wangnan is left wondering if they've known each other this whole time. Kim explains that the Lurker Cash loaning company is in charge of many restaurants in the area, and explains that when people make restaurant delivery orders over their Pockets, the owner's Pocket code remains, and they can trace it back to the location of the Pocket owner.

Nia explains that he betrayed the team in order to protect his restaurant's owner

He points out that Nia has been a partner with Lurker Cash for a long time, and that it wasn't a coincidence that Wangnan had noodles delivered to him from Nia that day. Kim reveals that including the coupon Nia gave him, which had a tracker put within it to make sure Wangnan can't hide from them, everything was set up for Wangnan to fall into their trap. The loan shark leaves off stating to Wangnan that he fell for their trick, which leaves Wangnan speechless. Akraptor, Goseng and Miseng continue to listen in on the conversation as Wangnan asks how Nia could do something like this. He continues to order Nia to answer why he would betray their team's trust, which Nia also apologizes for. Knowing that Wangnan can never forgive him, Nia informs him that he did this because there's someone he needs to keep protecting.

Confused by Nia's statement, Nia tells his story that he lost everything after coming to the 20th Floor. That he was left behind by the team he had been climbing the Tower with due to being weak, and had his weapon and money taken away from him. Nia mentions how he was saved by an old lady of the restaurant he works for now, and decided to put climbing the Tower behind him in order to live with the old lady as the restaurant's delivery boy. He mentions how his life with the old lady made him happy for awhile, but they started having problems when gangs refused to leave them alone.

In order to keep the gangs off the restaurant, the old lady owner begged to Kim, and Lurker Cash, to get the gangs off them, and ended up in debt to the company. Seeing Kim continue to threaten the restaurant for their repayment, the old lady meets with the owner of Lurker Cash to come up with a way to pay the debt off. As a result, Nia was forced into working together with Lurker Cash.

Nia tearfully apologizes to Wangnan

With his story over, Nia informs Wangnan that he took this test, because Lurker Cash promised to erase the old lady's debt if he helped eliminate the other Regulars competing against Lurker Cash. He asks if Wangnan thinks of him as a bad person, but Wangnan remains silent. However, Nia also mentions that being around Wangnan gave him the confidence to try to climb the Tower again. Nia explains that being around Wangnan has made him feel like he's changing as a person compared to the weakling that previously lost everything.

Nia begins to cry, and mentions how the old lady still comes first, and no matter what, he can't leave her. However, he admits that having to betray someone that finally trusts him has made him sad. He covers his face, and figures that this must be punishment for doing something bad. Wangnan and company look at Wangnan's Pocket in complete pity as they hear Nia apologize over and over for being a bad person. Wangnan continues to listen to Nia, who mentions how unlike him, everyone else in the group was so nice to him, and now they're all about to fail the test because of him. Nia continues to apologize, but Wangnan finally orders him to stop.

Kim secures Wangnan's dorm, but tells Nia that his debt can't be paid off anyway

Talking to Nia through the Pocket, Wangnan informs him that he did nothing wrong since he was fighting to protect those he cared about. Nia continues to cry knowing that Lurker Cash is going to take Wangnan's organs the moment he loses, but Wangnan reassures him that he will find a way to take the test again. He mentions to Nia how it must be a great feeling to have already found something in the Tower worth protecting, and mentions how unlike a lot of people, Nia already found his real self. He points out to Nia how he can no longer consider him as his mentor, and congratulates Nia for being a good boy, which causes Nia to tearfully apologize once more.

Standing by letting the two crybabies have their moment, Kim orders for Nia to hand over the remote for his and Wangnan's dorm. He also informs Nia of some bad news that the debt of the old lady can't actually be paid off, which confuses Nia asking why he's going back on his word that the debt would be paid off after the test. Kim reveals that it's because he's decided to quit Lurker Cash since he's already realized that the owner's son, Prince, turned out to be incredibly stupid. As a result, Kim announces that he's chosen to become the new leader by ousting Prince from the team, and return to climbing the Tower.

Wangnan begs Kim not to hurt Nia

Nia is left in stunned silence at the fact that everything he's done to this point has been for nothing, which Kim answers to be the truth since he betrayed his team, but the old lady's debt with Lurker Cash will still be there. Calling Kim a swindler, Nia attempts to charge at Kim in order to take the remote back, but gets taken hold of by one of Kim's bodyguards. Wangnan attempts to call out to Nia over the Pocket wondering what's happening, but Kim informs them that he was planning to kill Nia anyway. Kim begins to power up his hand with shinsu as Wangnan begs him to stop since Nia has nothing to do with him anymore. However, Kim orders for his bodyguard to continue holding Nia, and asks for Nia not to struggle as it will only hurt more.

Wangnan continues to call out to Nia, but hears over the Pocket Kim continuing to beat up and stab Nia. Throughout the beatdown, Kim mentions how he actually hates people like Nia who thinks they can be a good boy after doing something awful. Wangnan continues to beg over the Pocket that he will do anything if it means that he will stop beating Nia to death. However, Kim continues, and states that this is what happens when a bad person tries to be a good person.

Kim cleans himself up after killing Nia

Hearing the continued stabbing over the Pocket, Wangnan holds his hands to his face begging Kim to stop. Goseng, Miseng, Horyang and Akraptor are seen still listening as well, but refuse to believe what's happening. Wangnan orders for the evil asshole to finally stop, and moments later, the stabbing sounds finally end. However, he hears Kim announce over the Pocket that he's glad it's all over with now that Nia is finally dead, which shocks Wangnan that it actually happened.

Nia's bloody corpse lies on the floor as Kim wipes off the blood from his hand with a towel. He throws the bloodied towel on the floor, and admits how surprising it was that the kid held out for as long as he did. Unable to hold in his tearful rage, Wangnan yells over the Pocket that he will kill Kim for this. Kim on the other hand, is just seen checking his hand to see if it's now perfectly clean; completely ignoring what Wangnan just said to him.
