2F - Last Examination

    Season 1: Ch. 57 (Chapter 57)

Making their way to the Position Test hall, Lero-Ro walks with Yu Hansung. Having grown fond of the current group of Regulars, Lero-Ro asks if there truly is anyone "dangerous" amongst the current group, which Yu Hansung explains the purpose of the Floor of Tests. He goes over the incidents caused by the Irregulars, Phantaminum and Urek Mazino, which Phantaminum massacred many of Jahad's Rankers at the Jahad Castle and Urek Mazino formed Wolhaiksong; a powerful organization that even Jahad's Ten Great Families fear. Thus, to keep the Tower from falling into chaos, the tests of the 2nd Floor were established to make sure that those who possibly disagree with the current way the Tower does things is weeded out. Lero-Ro admits that he doesn't like that method as it would cause the Tower to grow stale and decay, which Yu Hansung tells him that there's always the option to just quit his job if he doesn't like it.

At the Position Test hall, the Regulars remain on standby for the test results. Lero-Ro and Yu Hansung eventually arrive, which Lero-Ro gets to announcing the winners as to who goes on to the final 2nd Floor test. Along with Bam, Khun, and Rak, they see that many of the Regulars they established as their friends, such as Endorsi, Anaak, Shibisu and Hatz, made it through. However, despite Rachel also passing, she's marked for failure due to her injury.

Mauchi files a complaint as to why he ended up failing despite being on the winning Hide-and-Seek team, which Yu Hansung asks him to come before him for a test. The test being to see if Mauchi can get away from him before going crazy. Yu Hansung proceeds to torture Mauchi to the point that the latter calls upon his test buddy, Paracule, for help. However, Paracule refuses to go along with it, which leaves Mauchi to fail. The next to object to the test results is Khun, which Yu Hansung asks the former to come up to him as well.

    Season 1: Ch. 58 (Chapter 58)

Stepping before Yu Hansung, Khun asks for Rachel to be a part of the last exam despite her injury as it's a favor for his friend (Bam). Finding such a case ridiculous, Yu Hansung informs Khun that it would be against their Empire's rules to do so. However, Khun announces that he can take a test directly from the 2nd Floor Guardian, which catches everyone's attention. The watching Lero-Ro thinks back to his conversation with Khun, and how he told Khun of how Jahad and the Ten Great Families during their Tower climb took tests from the Floor Guardians until they became the rulers of the Tower, which Jahad's Empire went about making their own Floor tests in place of the Floor Guardian ones for newcomer Regulars. However, the option is still there to take a Floor Guardian test. Thus, giving Khun the option to overrule a judgement given by the Floor of Test Rankers by taking the Floor Guardian's test.

In the present, Khun states his intention to take a test from the 2nd Floor Guardian that would include Rachel rather than take the Rankers' test that was set to play out without her. Yu Hansung remains suspicious of how Khun knows of this loop-hole, but Khun doesn't give it away that Lero-Ro told him. Yu Hansung then informs Khun of the bad news that a test from the Floor Guardian can't be done without an Irregular. However, Bam reveals to everyone that it can be done since he, himself, is an Irregular, which surprises everyone.

After Bam departs to meet with the 2nd Floor Guardian, Yu Hansung informs the remaining Regulars that they have the option to either take the Rankers' normal test, or join up with Bam's 2nd Floor Guardian test. Thus, the Regulars all gather to talk about their surprise that Bam turned out to be an Irregular. Shibisu's the one that tells them all of how unlike Regulars, Irregulars are known to be beings that the Towers' rules don't apply to, and that Irregulars are powerful enough to always bring chaos to the Tower. Khun then surprises everyone by deciding that he's not going to help Bam due to the Irregular reveal, but as Hatz is about to confront him for abandoning a friend, someone else beats him to it.

Meanwhile, Bam meets with the giant gray eel Guardian of the 2nd Floor again. He's able to get permission to take its test alongside Rachel as long as Bam states what what he's climbing the Tower for. In return, Bam provides his goal of helping Rachel see the starry sky outside the Tower. Back at the Position Hall, the one to hit Khun turns out to be Rak, who's made it clear that Bam is his prey, and will also take the 2nd Floor test. The other Regulars all fall in line deciding to join up with Bam rather than Khun the traitor, and head off to join Bam.

Bam returns to Yu Hansung after his meeting with the 2nd Floor Guardian, which Bam reveals that he got permission to take a special test with Rachel. In return, Yu Hansung reveals to Bam that he had known about the boy being an Irregular this whole time, and was the one behind all the events that had threatened Bam and Rachel until this point due to the fact that Bam is a danger to the Tower that needs to be removed, and finds his desire of only being with Rachel when the Tower has everyone else to be ridiculous. However, Bam fires back that unlike Bam having a reason to climb the Tower with Rachel, Yu Hansung comes off as someone who never found something anywhere within the Tower to cherish. Bam then walks away to train for his upcoming test. At that same time, Rak returns to Khun as it turns out that their plan worked in provoking the other Regulars into joining Bam's test.

    Season 1: Ch. 59 (Chapter 59)

The following days have the Regulars attending Hoh's funeral, and preparing for the 2nd Floor Guardian's test. Bam spends his time sparing with Endorsi, Khun thinks up plans with Shibisu, Rak has a spear-throwing competition with Aleksai, Hong Chunhwa's happy to have his Narumada sword back, and the paralyzed Rachel is given a special chair that she will have to sit on during the test. Meanwhile, Ren with his pillow suit off waits in his room for the test to begin, and has in his possession a certain green stone. Afterwards, the Regulars who passed Hide-and-Seek, and those who didn't, such as Serena, are all seen having one last party together. The failed Serena reminiscing about her journey through the 2nd Floor.

Eventually, the last remaining Regulars all gather before Yu Hansung and Lero-Ro. They're taken to a large mountainous arena with a wine glass shaped lake area in the center of it to take their final exam that's been provided by the 2nd Floor Guardian, the Submerged Fish Hunt test.

    Season 1: Ch. 60 (Chapter 60)

A brief jump ahead is seen of Baam and company taking on the Submerged Fish Hunt test. Bam and Rachel remain on standby in a bubble deep in the wine glass shaped arena lake watching the fish swim around. Meanwhile, Shibisu's seen on the land watching over a herd of tiny creatures that look like a cross between a seal and a dolphin waiting for them to start moving, which he finds this test to be ridiculous.

Before the test began, Yu Hansung goes about explaining the Submerged Fish Hunt to the Regulars. That the purpose of the test is a Net Dolphin fish feeding event, which the Net Dolphins pull up a shinsu net full of fish for their Net Dolphin Queen to eat. The Regulars will win the test if a bubble housing Bam and Rachel deep within the lake, who will act as one of the fish, gets pulled up the Net Dolphin's net to get eaten by the Queen (the bubble will protect them from dying inside the queen). However, during the feeding event, the rest of the Regulars have to also protect the Net Dolphin's work from three enemies: Barnacle Goblins with their Giant Marsh Worms who plan to steal the fish, which could result in Bam and Rachel getting captured, Striped Ground Pigs (Dogs), who eat Net Dolphins, and a mysteriously powerful creature known as the Bull that somehow made its way down to the lower Floors of the Tower.

Returning to the test, the Net Dolphins finally start moving. Bam and Rachel remain within their bubble waiting for the Net Dolphins to pull them up with the fish to their queen. Shibisu continues to watch over the Net Dolphins beginning their work while Hatz has been stationed by the nearby Barnacle Goblins to announce when they begin moving. Meanwhile, the Dogs haven't appeared yet, but the Bull is seen making its way through a cavern of the Submerged Fish Hunt arena.

    Season 1: Ch. 61 (Chapter 61)

Outside the 2nd Floor, Princess Yuri, and her Wolhaiksong company, continue to make their way to the Floor of Tests. Eventually, the group reaches a cliff where Evan informs her that dropping down will be the only way to sneak into Evankhell's Floor without anyone seeing.

The test continues with Hatz still in place keeping an eye on the Barnacle Goblins while Shibisu begins to move due to the Net Dolphins starting the feeding event. Suspicious that Shibisu knew that Khun was acting when the latter claimed that he wasn't going to team up with Bam for the 2nd Floor Guardian's test, Khun uses the down time to ask why Shibisu agreed to join Bam's test anyway. In return, Shibisu explains how he learned from a talk with Serena that Bam is someone who still has what Regulars seem to have lost before coming to the Tower, and that even though Shibisu envies Bam because of this, he also doesn't want Bam to lose what's precious to him like everyone else did.

A moment later, Shibisu suddenly gets attacked by the Bull, and is forced to run. However, the Bull turns its attention to going after one of Net Dolphins, which forces Shibisu to try to draw the Bull's attention back to him. Shibisu tries to fight it, but the Bull is completely unaffected, and grabs hold of Shibisu. Just as the Bull's about to eat Shibisu, the latter is rescued by the arrival of the Jahad Princesses, Anaak and Endorsi, who take over the fight against the Bull. Though they'd rather argue with one another while Shibisu's completely ignored.

    Season 1: Ch. 62 (Chapter 62)

Flashing back to 30 minutes before test, Bam and company sit around a table to discuss it, which Shibisu and Khun explain the plan to their team. Their primary goals being to make sure to kill the Giant Marsh Worms with their spear-bearers so that they don't end the test by sucking up Bam and Rachel's bubble, and to make sure that the Barnacle Goblins and Dogs end up at war with one another. With only the Bull left, it's decided that the team's strongest, Endorsi and Anaak, will be the ones to deal with it when the Bull appears.

Returning to the present, Endorsi and Anaak end up disinterested in going through with fighting the Bull, much to Shibisu's shock as he runs around trying to avoid the Bull from eating him. However, they turn the Bull hunt into a competition to see who can kill the creature in five minutes; the reward being that either Endorsi gets the Black March, or she becomes Anaak's slave for life. Taking the Bull's attention away from Shibisu, and hyped that the Black March will be hers, Endorsi decides to go first.

Meanwhile, Rak, Paracule and Ghost are seen as the Spear-bearer group remaining on standby on a high cliff waiting for orders to attack something. Eventually, Hatz gets word to the Spear-bearers that the Barnacle Goblins, and their worm pets, have finally started moving.

    Season 1: Ch. 63 (Chapter 63)

Waiting around in the lake bubble alongside Rachel, Bam starts to feel something flowing within him, and notices something in the distance. Meanwhile, the Spear-bearers start moving to get into position now that the Barnacle Goblins are on the move towards the lake.

On Shibisu's side, he watches in amazement; getting word to Khun that Endorsi is so strong that she managed to beat down the Bull on her own within her 5 minutes. Quite easily to the point that Anaak had to screw her up so that she couldn't finish the creature off, which Endrosi's 5 minutes end up running out. Thanks to Anaak's intervention, the Bull manages to escape, which causes Anaak to chase after it to begin her five minute round. Endorsi chases after them feeling that her victory was cheated away from her, which leaves Shibisu all alone unable to catch up to them. Elsewhere, Ren is seen waiting it out in the test for Endorsi and Anaak's arrival; having used the Bull to bait the two Jahad Princesses toward him.

    Season 1: Ch. 64 (Chapter 64)

Working on another plan, Khun learns a bit about how the Anima Position works given that from their team, Sunwoo Nare turned out to have the rare Position skill. She's seen on her own playing around with a little yellow fish creature during the test. Khun learns that Sunwoo has the ability to control certain creatures of the Tower, but only a few weak ones given that she's still a fairly new Anima Regular to the Tower. However, she mentions that it's possible for high Anima Rankers to subjugate creatures as powerful as the Bull, which leaves Khun worried that something may be amiss.

Still chasing after the Bull, Endorsi arrives at a watery location, but falls into a trap set by the creature. She gets pulled into the water by the Bull, and realizes that the creature has gotten stronger than before; leaving her in a rather dangerous situation running short of air. Meanwhile, Anaak chases what she believes to be the Bull to another location, but ends up being greeted instead by the Ranker, Ren, that was sent by the Jahad Empire to assassinate her. Anaak remains disinterested at first, but Ren introduces himself be her mother's killer, and even shows the stone that Anaak once gave to her mother as a kid. Thus, succeeding in provoking Anaak to attack him.

    Season 1: Ch. 65 (Chapter 65)

After Endorsi and Anaak ran off chasing the Bull, Shibisu continues to search around for them. He's informed by Khun that the plan they talked about earlier regarding the Barnacle Goblins and Dogs turned out to be correct, but will require patience to perfect. Meanwhile, Shibisu starts to catch on like Khun that something regarding the whole situation with the Bull feels off.

Wanting her mother's stone back, Anaak faces off against Ren. However, the Ranker falls back into the darkness around them, and forces Anaak to fight a ball-like pet of his that also wields a massive cannon that fires blasts of shinsu. Ren also claims that he will give the stone back if Anaak manages to defeat his pet. Anaak goes along with it, but even after going all out by igniting the Green April against it, she's unable to defeat Ren's pet. Instead, Anaak goes for Ren given that he's controlling the creature. However, she falls into Ren's trap revealing another of his pets at the location she believed Ren to be at, which is able to stab Anaak.

Meanwhile in the lake bubble, Bam continues to feel an odd sensation inside him as if a power within is flowing and getting stronger. Peaking around her chair, Rachel notices Bam acting weird.

    Season 1: Ch. 66 (Chapter 66)

Lauroe is seen with Sunwoo Nare and Hong Chunhwa at a rocky location in the test. In order to get Lauroe working with the group, the team makes sure to motivate him by stealing away his precious pillow and blanket until they beat the 2nd Floor Guardian's test. In return, Lauroe's been using his shinsu to disturb the land they're standing on. Lauroe then puts his head against the ground, which he's able to sense that the Dogs have finally made their appearance due to them being enraged by their underground home being disturbed.

The Barnacle Goblins with their Giant Marsh Worms eventually reach the wine glass lake, yet despite them starting to dig into the lake, Khun continues to order the spear-bearers to wait it out on attacking them until the team manages to lure the Dogs to their location as a distraction. While Rak complies to the order, Paracule grows impatient, and ruins the plan by foolishly throwing his spear towards the goblins, which ends up revealing the spear-bearers location to them. The goblins attack Rak and Paracule as Khun orders the two of them to salvage the situation by running towards his Lighthouse. Carrying Paracule with him, Rak does so, which results in the two of them jumping into the heart of the Barnacle Goblins by landing atop the largest Giant Marsh Worm.

    Season 1: Ch. 67 (Chapter 67)

Anaak is next seen bleeding out on the ground as Ren succeeds in taking the Green April away from her; calling her dumb for becoming a Tower Regular instead of remaining in hiding. However, he doesn't choose to kill Anaak just yet as he wants to toy with her first. Ren reveals that the Bull was actually one of his pets, which the Bull is seen bringing a captured Endorsi before the two of them. The Ranker taunts Anaak that due to her being a fake Jahad Princess, everything in the Tower, even the 2nd Floor Rankers, has been established as her enemy.

Ren then gets to toying with Anaak by introducing himself as a member of RED to Endorsi, which Endorsi catches on that she's dealing with a member of Jahad's shadow organization that takes out their enemies from the darkness. She figures that Ren must have been sent to assassinate Anaak, which Ren answers is indeed the case. However, he remains suspicious that Endorsi was planning to climb the Tower alongside the Fake Princess. Seeing Endorsi hesitating, Ren warns her that this could make her an enemy of the Tower as well. Thus, Ren hands the Green April over to Endorsi, and orders her to kill Anaak with it in order for her to proof that she's worthy to be a 13 Month Series Princess that will help Jahad control the Tower. He gleefully watches as Endorsi makes her way over to Anaak.

Meanwhile, having about given up the search for Endorsi and Anaak, Shibisu takes a moment to catch his breath. He's then greeted by the arrival of a mysterious and powerful person, who asks Shibisu for directions.

    Season 1: Ch. 68 (Chapter 68)

Endorsi is about to finish off Anaak with the Green April, but she thinks back to her sparring matches with Bam, and how he wanted to be her friend just so she wouldn't be lonely anymore. As a result, Endorsi chooses to side with Anaak as the two swap 13 Month Weapons; the Black March going to Endorsi, and Anaak having the Green April returned to her. The two fight Ren with all their strength utilizing the powers of the Black March and Green April, but the Ranker still easily defeats them. He stands atop Anaak to pin her in place while an injured Endrosi struggles to get back up.

On the verge of killing Anaak, Ren threatens Endorsi that along with reporting her betrayal to Jahad, she will die as well for the sake of taking out a competitor for his Lo Po Bia Family's Jahad Princess. Before he could finish them off however, a pebble is suddenly thrown at Ren's head, which confuses him. More pebbles start coming at him; enraging Ren to the point of ordering the person throwing the pebbles to come out. To everyone's surprise, Princess Yuri Jahad appears while claiming that she's technically the older sister of Endrosi and Anaak.

    Season 1: Ch. 69 (Chapter 69)

Along with Princess Yuri, Shibisu's seen with her as the one that was giving her directions. Shibisu then goes over to check on Anaak and Endorsi while Yuri, who's goal was just to find Bam on the 2nd Floor, decides to confront Ren due to how weird the current situation is.

Over at the Barnacle Goblins location, Rak and Paracule are about to be swarmed by the goblins after landing on their Giant Marsh Worm. However, Lauroe arrives to float them up to safety with his shinsu powers. The underground Striped Ground Pigs (the Dogs) having been lured to their location, which begin to come pouring out of the Marsh Worms to attack the nearby goblins. Khun explains to everyone that the plan he thought up with Shibisu worked where thanks to Sunwoo's Anima controlled yellow fish scouting out the area, they discovered the Dogs' underground tunnel labyrinth. As a result, they used Lauroe and Aleksai to collapse certain tunnels of the labyrinth to make the Dogs take the only remaining tunnel to the location of the goblins, which were then sucked up by their worms. With the goblins now fighting the Dogs, Khun orders for the hunt to begin as the spear-bearers, and Chunhwa using Narumada, begin to kill off the Marsh Worms.

Khun remains worried about what's been going on at the Bull's location, but is greeted by Wolhaiksong's Hachuling, who was able to get into Khun's Lighthouse. Meanwhile, Lauroe, who's trying to find a new location to sleep now that Sunwoo and Chunhwa have given him his pillow and blanket back, is greeted by Wolhaiksong's Ms. Strawberry. Outside, Lero-Ro and Quant are seen watching over the 2nd Floor Guardian's test, which Lero-Ro begins to catch on that several people have broken in.

    Season 1: Ch. 70 (Chapter 70)

Quant reacts angrily to hearing that there's intruders, and wants to dispose of them himself. However, Lero-Ro informs him that they've been told by their Supervisors to not enter the test no matter what.

Seeing the Ranker, Hachuling, in his Lighthouse, Khun remains on guard while noticing that something about him seems familiar. Hachuling reassures him that he's not here to cause trouble, and is just going to take control of Khun's Lighthouse for a brief moment using the control device he's holding in order to find the lost friends that he arrived on the 2nd Floor with. Eventually, Hachuling locates all his Wolhaiksong teammates, but also sees that something interesting is going on at Yuri's location.

At said location, Yuri asks what Ren's doing here, which he introduces himself to her as one of Jahad's RED assassins, Lo Po Bia Ren. He informs her of his mission to retrieve the 13 Month Series weapons, and to kill the fake Jahad Princess, Anaak. However, Yuri points out that interrupting a Regular's test is against the rules of the Tower, and tells him that she will retrieve the two 13 Month Series weapons herself. In return, Ren ignores it, and states that King Jahad will be disappointed that she's choosing to protect the Fake Princess. Ren's answer enrages Yuri due to him using the name of Jahad for his own gain, and threatens to kill him if he doesn't leave. The thought of battling a Ranker Jahad Princess pleases Ren greatly, and summons many pets to kill her off. However, Yuri destroys the attack easily, and then steps before Ren to flick him away with just one of her fingers.

    Season 1: Ch. 71 (Chapter 71)

Princess Yuri's flick was enough to blast away the rocky terrain. However Ren manages to dodge out of the way as the two stand ready to battle.

Meanwhile from Khun's lighthouse, Hachuling gets in contact with Strawberry. He informs Strawberry that things on Yuri's side is about to get ugly, and sends her the coordinates to reach Yuri's location. Hachuling is then contacted by Evan having heard the issue on his end, which Evan informs the Wolhaiksong group that he will deal with the current situation himself. As a result, Evan and Kurdan are seen arriving at Supervisor Yu Hansung's office, who was expecting their arrival.

Yu Hansung informs Evan and Kurdan that the 2nd Floor Ruler, Evankhell, is not around to deal with them, and states that the Floor of Test intruders are lucky that they're meeting with him instead. Evan points out how Yu Hansung's been ignoring the issue of a Jahad assassin (Ren) breaking the rules by interrupting a Regular test, which Yu Hansung answers that it's part of what the 2nd Floor Guardian has decided for the final exam. Yu Hansung then offers Evan a chance to retrieve the Black March for Yuri themselves, which Evan takes. He orders for Kurdan to form a plan with Hachuling to help Yuri deal with the Ren confrontation.

At that same time, Yuri is about ready to continue fighting Ren, but gets contacted by Evan to come up with an excuse to make sure that she wouldn't get in a complicated political mess if she's discovered to be helping the fake Jahad Princess, Anaak. Being told that Kurdan is ready to make his move, Yuri picks up the Black March, and begins to walk away; acting as if she's abandoning Anaak and Endorsi. Ren buys the bluff, and congratulates Yuri for making the correct choice siding with Jahad's Empire. It's at this point however that Kurdan makes his move against Ren by slamming his large mace down upon a Lighthouse that sends the attack elsewhere.

    Season 1: Ch. 72 (Chapter 72)

Ren receives the powerful attack from Kurdan that was transferred over to Yuri's location using his rare Cutter Position skill, which smashes Ren into the ground. With Ren's container pretty much destroyed by Kurdan's attack, Ren, despite knowing that Yuri's allies did this, accepts his defeat as he can no longer inform King Jahad about what he witnessed here. However, before his wool container is used up, Ren takes an educated guess that Yuri came to the 2nd Floor searching for the Irregular, Bam. As a result, Ren informs Yuri and company that he's just a clone as his real body is still elsewhere, and that he's already sent the Bull to kill Bam.

Believing that the test wasn't done properly, Yuri chooses to destroy the 2nd Floor Guardian's exam herself, but she's contacted Yu Hansung; warning her that Bam will end up failing the test if she destroys it. Evan adds in that everything that happened so far, even the RED assassin and Wolhaiksong's intervention, was all part of the test decided by the 2nd Floor Guardian, which he asks for Yuri to believe that Bam can finish the rest of the test himself. She looks to Endorsi for advice, which Endorsi tells her that he will finish it since she promised to go on a date with him after the Guardian's test is completed. Yuri also hands a white Wingtree symbol over to Shibisu, and orders him to hand it to Bam so that he can meet Urek Mazino on the 77th Floor after becoming a Ranker. Before leaving with the Black March at hand, Yuri also picks up the Green April; informing Anaak that she's still too young to use it, but will give it back when she's ready.

With his search done, Hachuling moves to leave Khun's Lighthouse, which the latter is able to confirm that the two are indeed brothers from the Khun Family. Hachuling shows of a Wingtree symbol stating that he's been away from the family ever since he joined Wolhaiksong, but Khun informs his brother that unlike Hachuling, who ran away from his family troubles, he will be sure to become the Tower Ruler with the Khun name. Hachuling admits that he will be looking forward to see that happen, and leaves the Lighthouse to return to the rest of Yuri's group. With Hachuling finally gone, Khun returns to the test, and orders for his team to continue killing the Marsh Worms, but he's left worried about Bam due to the recent crazy events.

Meanwhile, Evan leaves Yu Hansung's office to return to Yuri's group. He notices Hwaryun walking by towards Yu Hansung's office before moving on.

    Season 1: Ch. 73 (Chapter 73)

A flashback occurs as Bam remembers back to a time where Rachel stopped by his rocky prison room to play games. However, he's forced to stay alone when Rachel informs him that only those chosen can go to where Rachel came from outside the hole of Bam's prison. Rachel then leaves through the hole until she can see Bam again at a later time. It's at this point that Bam realizes that it's impossible to do anything alone if Rachel wasn't there with him.

In the present, only a few minutes remain before Bam and Rachel's lake bubble is brought up to the Net Dolphin Queen. Bam reaffirms to the crippled Rachel his intention to climb the Tower as her legs. In return, Rachel asks if Bam knows why she wants to see the stars, which Bam admits that while he doesn't know, he knows of all the fun events she told him about, and hopes to one day enjoy them with her. He then points out how his recent experiences on the Floor of Tests have made him a better, and stronger, person. However, Rachel apologizes that everything he's experienced so far has been because of her.

At this point, Ren's Bull appears in the lake, and attacks their bubble. Bam relies on his ability to make Quant's immobilization Bang, and manages to freeze the Bull before the creature could eat them.

    Season 1: Ch. 74 (Chapter 74)

Following the battle against Ren, and Yuri's departure with the two 13 Month weapons, Shibisu checks over Anaak's and Endorsi's injuries. Anaak is mainly just bummed out that the Green April was taken away from her while Endrosi is in bad shape. Shibisu asks if Bam has a chance against the Bull that's been sent after him, which Endorsi answers that while he has a means to stop the Bull with the immobilization Bang, it's his means of attacking it that will be the difficult part for him.

Bam continues to fight off the Bull, but ends up injuring his hand due to being unable to create two shinsu Bangs at once yet for immobilization and attacking. He thinks back to Headon's 1st Floor test, and deduces that his only true option left would be to fire a shinsu Bang into the Bull's mouth the moment it tries to eat them. Waiting for the right moment that the Bull tries to eat them again, Bam fires a Bang into the Bull's mouth, which presumably kills the Bull from the inside. He watches as the dead Bull slowly floats down into the dark abyss.

With the fight over, Bam's proud of himself that he finally managed to fight off an enemy under his own power. He offers his hand to Rachel, and states that he will always go wherever she desires. However, to his surprise, Rachel stands up perfectly fine, and pushes him away. She apologizes to Bam once more claiming that he should stay where he is as Bam falls out of the bubble, and begins to sink down to the watery abyss. As he sinks, Bam watches as Rachel's bubble gets sucked up by the Net Dolphin Queen to complete the 2nd Floor Guardian's test without him; leaving him wondering why she had done this.

Yu Hansung and Lero-Ro make their way to the Position Test hall

Yu Hansung and Lero-Ro are seen walking to the room where they will be announcing the winners of the Position Test, but Lero-Ro wishes that he didn't have to fail anyone due to this group of Regulars being such a good group. He jokes that perhaps he's gotten too close to them at this point, and then asks Yu Hansung if there's someone amongst the Regulars who could prove to actually be a danger to the Tower.

Thinking it over, Yu Hansung asks Lero-Ro if he knows why they established the the Floor of Tests, which Lero-Ro answers that he doesn't. Yu Hansung explains that the tests on the 2nd Floor after completing Headon's 1st Floor challenge were at first similar to how they were done on all the other floors. However, the more complex Floor of Tests was implemented after the appearance of the Irregular, Phantaminum.

Yu Hansung reminds Lero-Ro of how Phantaminum launched a solo invasion on Jahad's castle, and was able to kill many of his best Rankers, which shocked everyone in the Tower when word got out of the attack. He then brings up the appearance of the Irregular, Urek Mazino, who turned out to be such a powerful monster that he was able to gain incredible influence to form the Wolhaiksong organization, which opposes Jahad and his Ten Great Families. Due to these incidents, the great rulers of the Tower realized that there are those out there who could bring ruin to their precious Tower.

Yu Hansung explains to Lero-Ro why the Floor of Tests was created

Yu Hansung continues by stating that if there were those that came into the Tower with scores to settle, or had powers completely unknown to them, then it could tip the balance of power in favor to those that the Tower Elites were trying to rule over, and would send the Tower into complete chaos. As a result, Jahad's Rulers came to a decision that they would weed out those that posed a danger to the Tower on the first floor Regulars will arrive at after passing Headon's test, and keep them from climbing any further. Arriving at the door to the room where they will grade the Regulars, Yu Hansung states that the purpose of the Floor of Tests is not to see if Regulars are worthy, but to keep the Tower from falling into chaos. A seawall to keep the Tower from being shaken up by a tsunami.

Having heard Yu Hansung's explanation, Lero-Ro concludes that he doesn't like that idea. He questions if it truly helps the Tower weeding out the dangers to the Jahad Rulers as a sea with no waves is just a still pond that will slowly decay over time. Lero-Ro figures that they will live a better life fighting against the waves, which Yu Hansung answers that there's still the option for him to quit here. Confused by the answer, Yu Hansung explains that even if Lero-Ro chooses to drop out now, the Floor of Tests will carry on just like it always has. He then tells Lero-Ro that it's about time to get to work as they enter the giant hall; stating that it's time to sort out the dangerous ones.

The remaining Regulars gather at the Position Test hall awaiting their grades

The remaining Regulars up to this point are all seen gathered in the giant hall facing the Rankers that served as their Test Administrators and Position teachers. Khun arrives late to sit down, which Rak calls him out for. Khun answers that he's been using the free time until now to find a way to get Rachel into the final test, but Rak believes that he's just embarrassed for taking a long time in the bathroom. Bam then asks Khun if he found a way, which Khun answers that he did. Bam gets excited by the answer as Rak points out that he must have pooped afterwards, which causes Khun to stab a knife into Rak's head. Despite Khun's answer, he states that it's still uncertain if his plan will work or not to get Rachel in the final test. For now, he states that they should just wait it out to see what happens first.

Lero-Ro steps up to the hall's podium, and greets the Regulars sitting before him. He states that starting now, he will be announcing the winners of the Position Test. The Regulars sit by anxiously as Lero-Ro reveals a monitor that shows the winners of each position.

Five fishermen winners: Endorsi, Chunhwa, Des Lion, Blarouse and Anaak. Des Lion however is marked as a failure due to not being able to heal his Hide-and-Seek injuries in time for the final test.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_04.jpg
Regulars who passed the Position Test

Four spear-bearer winners: Ghost, Rak, Paracule, and Aleksai.

Three scout winners: Shibisu, Hatz, and Sunwoo Nare.

Three light-bearer winners: Khun, Michelle Light (Rachel) and Levin. Rachel however is marked as a failure due to not being able to heal her Hide-and-Seek injuries in time for the final test.

Two wave controller winners: Bam and Lauroe.

Looking at the screen, the Regulars are all seen reacting towards their name being on it or not. Bam is saddened to see the failure across Rachel's image as Mauchi yells out to complain why he was left out despite being part of Team-B that was able to win the Hide-and-Seek test. Yu Hansung asks if he doesn't agree with the results, which Mauchi quickly answers that he doesn't, and finds it complete bullshit. He then calls Yu Hansung a coffee addict, and orders for the Ranker to change the results claiming that he worked hard in the Hide-and-Seek test.

Standing up, Yu Hansung walks to the middle of the hall to stand before Mauchi. He then motions for Mauchi to walk towards him, which he does so, and now stands before Yu Hansung. He then asks for Mauchi to prove right here that he's talented enough to pass the test, which Mauchi asks what he's supposed to do. Yu Hansung informs him that all he has to do is make it off the platform they're standing on without going crazy. Mauchi remains confused by the task, but suddenly feels a major cracking into his shoulder.

Mauchi falls to the floor in pain, and curses Yu Hansung for the attack. Yu Hansung then provides more pain in other parts of Mauchi's body, such as his legs and balls, who begins to beg for Paracule to come to his aid. Yu Hansung turns to Paracule to ask if he also disagrees with the results, but the Regular laughs it off in disagreement; claiming that he doesn't know what's wrong with him. Mauchi looks up to Paracule in disgust at his partner abandoning him, and yells that he will get the traitor back for this. However, another voice is heard claiming that he does disagree with the results. Looking in the direction of the voice, Khun is seen raising his hand. Yu Hansung then asks for Khun to approach him as well.

Khun is next seen walking up to Yu Hansung. Endorsi questions what he's planning to do now as Bam and Rak watch their teammate do his work. Calling Khun his majesty, Mauchi thanks him for coming to his aid, but Khun answers that he doesn't seem to have gone crazy just yet, and asks for Yu Hansung to continue beating him up. Yu Hansung agrees with the statement, and continues Mauchi's torture until the point of the Regular passing out.

Khun objects to the test results in order to get Rachel into the final test

Turning to Khun, Yu Hansung asks what his issue with the Position Test results may be knowing that Khun was given an incredibly high score. He figures that Khun's not stupid enough to ask for a switch to a failing grade, which Khun answers that he wants to bring Michelle Light (Rachel) to the next round despite failing because of her injury. Yu Hansung questions if it's because he cares for her, but Khun answers that it's important for his friend. Hearing Khun's statement, the Ranker begins to laugh greatly at the thought that Khun actually considers someone a friend, which annoys the Regular. Yu Hansung then apologizes to Khun that it's in the rules to not allow anyone too injured to participate in the next test. However Khun points out that while that's true under normal circumstances, he informs Yu Hansung that he has the option to take a test directly from the 2nd Floor Guardian. Hearing Khun's answer stuns the Rankers as Lero-Ro watches in silence.

Thinking back to his meeting with Khun, Lero-Ro is seen informing the former that there's a way to get Rachel through the test if they choose to take a test provided by the Floor Guardian. Lero-Ro states that it was an option that King Jahad was able to accomplish, which Khun asks if such a case is possible for them.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_06.jpg
Lero-Ro explains to Khun the alternative to take a test from the 2nd Floor Guardian

Lero-Ro explains that Jahad, and the heads of his Ten Great Families, were able to complete difficult tests provided by the Guardians of each floor, and that they were eventually accepted as the rulers of the Tower. Jahad was then given the authority to be the ones who would provide the Floor tests instead of the Guardians, and states that the Ranker, Evankhell, is the replacement for the 2nd Floor Guardian here at the Floor of Tests. However, the true rights for providing tests to pass the Tower Floors still technically belongs to the Guardians if there's a Regular that wishes to take their much harder test. Lero-Ro continues to explain that during his training to become a Test Administrator, Yu Hansung had told him that the tests provided by the Guardians no longer exist, and that Jahad's Empire has been filling in the role. However, there's still the option for the test to be changed if there's someone out there that wishes to take the Guardian's much harder test rather than one set by the people of Jahad. That no matter what, Jahad's Empire was still second to tests provided by the Guardian. Returning to the present, Khun announces to the Floor of Test Rankers that Jahad's Supervisors are the ones who carry out the Floor Tests now, but that the Floor Guardians still have supreme authority on all tests. Khun figures that if he gets permission from the 2nd Floor Guardian to take a test set by it that would have Rachel take part in their group despite being injured, it would invalidate the failed injury report set by the Rankers.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_07.jpg
Khun is informed that the Guardian's test can't be done without an Irregular

Finding it unbelievable what he's hearing, Yu Hansung asks how Khun was able to find out about all this, which Khun lies that as being a part of the Khun Family provided him with a lot of information. Meanwhile, Lero-Ro thinks to himself that Khun has proven himself to be a good bluffer.

Yu Hansung then asks if Khun already knows why people choose not to take the Guardian's test over theirs, which Khun answers that it's because the tests provided by the Guardian are much harder compared to the ones given by Jahad's Empire. Khun answers that he believes that he will pass the Guardian's test, which Yu Hansung questions if he's being a little cocky at the moment. However, Yu Hansung also informs Khun that there's another reason that people choose not to take the Guardian's test. That there's a prerequisite required.

Khun questions what Yu Hansung is referring to, which the Ranker answers that in order to take part in the Guardian's test, an Irregular, like Jahad or Urek Mazino, that opened the door into the Tower himself, is needed. This revelation stuns Khun, which Yu Hansung explains that it's understandable he wouldn't know about this since the lore related to the Guardian tests are ancient lore at this point that very few people would know about.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_08.jpg
Bam announces that he's an Irregular

Yu Hansung leaves off stating that without an Irregular, Khun's plan won't work, and asks for the Regular to take his seat again. However, Bam is the next to speak, and calls out to them that he will take part in the Guardian's test. Despite Yu Hansung informing him once more of the prerequisite, Bam states that it doesn't matter since he, himself, is an Irregular. Ren, Endorsi, Khun and Yu Hansung are shown to be shocked by the revelation as Rak is left in confusion wondering if it's something he eats.

Some time later, the Regulars who passed the Position Test are all seen sitting around in the Hall to discuss Bam. Khun admits that while he always felt that something about Bam was odd, he never would have guessed that he was an Irregular. Everyone remains silent about the situation as Sunwoo asks why the thought of an Irregular is such serious business. Shibisu answers that Irregulars are people who aren't chosen to enter the Tower, but were able to open the door on their own. Sunwoo then asks how that's a problem, which Shibisu explains that it violates the rules set by the Tower. That every time an Irregular has appeared has brought chaos to the Tower to the point that they've become a symbol of fear to the Jahad Rulers, and its people.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_09.jpg
Yu Hansung offers the Regulars a choice to either take Bam's Guardian test or not

Moments earlier, the Rankers and Regulars sit by in the Hall waiting on Bam's return, who's gone to meet with the 2nd Floor Guardian to get permission for a special test with Rachel. Yu Hansung admits that it was a surprise to him too that there was an Irregular amongst this group, and jokes that he should take some pills to ease his nerves. He then informs the Regulars to take this time to come up with a decision, which the Ranker explain that they need to decide whether they want to take Bam's test, or take the exam that the Floor of Tests was going to provide originally. Yu Hansung also warns them that if they choose to take the Guardian's test, they will be known to the Tower as the enemy Regulars who helped an Irregular climb the Tower, and hopes that they all make the right choice.

Returning to the present where the Regulars are all in a circle, Sunwoo questions what they should do. Paracule objects to helping Bam asking what he's ever done for them in return, which Hatz answers that the only reason the former is here is because Bam won the Hide-and-Seek test. Paracule admits that to be true, but asks if anyone else agrees that choosing to help Bam would be insane. To the surprise of everyone, Khun is the one who answers in agreement, and states that while he feels sorry for Bam, he can't help an Irregular.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_10.jpg
Bam returns to the 2nd Floor Guardian to ask for permission to take its test

Hatz walks up to Khun yelling at him how he can say something like that to his friend, which Khun answers that he has no choice since helping an Irregular would go beyond being exiled. It would get him kicked out of his Great Family for good. Hatz becomes even more enraged as he hears Khun begin to complain that he shouldn't have helped Bam at all if he had known he was an Irregular. Calling Khun out as a coward, Hatz gets ready to punch him, but stalls when he realizes that someone else had already hit Khun for him.

Yu Hansung waits on stand by as Bam meets with the giant gray eel, the 2nd Floor Guardian, once more. The Guardian states that he figured Bam would return, and while Bam questions how the Guardian knew, the giant eel states that the boy looked tasty.

The Guardian however states that he felt Bam's taste the moment he saw him. That the boy is a being who opened the Tower's door by himself. Bam answers that to be correct as the Guardian informs him that he can provide the boy with a test that is equivalent to what he needs. The giant eel then asks what Bam is climbing the Tower for, which Bam provides his answer.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_11.jpg
Rak provokes the other Regulars into joining Bam's Guardian test

Returning to the Hall, the Regulars stand in shock at Khun being knocked to the ground by Rak. Wiping away the blood from his mouth, Khun looks at him in annoyance as Rak calls out to the surrounding Regulars claiming that they're all stupid turtles. He asks if they're all cowering under their fear, and states that letting fear take hold of them makes them all no better than turtles. Walking away from the group, Rak announces that he's not afraid of the consequences helping an Irregular, and that he will follow Bam since it means that he will lose his prey. He leaves off saying that the rest can remain here stuck in their shells from the fear.

At this point, Anaak is the next to say that she will go. Anaak explains that she has no desire helping Bam, but is still a better option than staying with a cowering traitor who betrayed his friend for the sake of his family name. Hatz agrees with the statement as the two are seen walking in the direction that Rak left, and drag Shibisu to come along with them. Endorsi chooses to go as well trying to keep up her appearance that she's doing it because she's a cool girl. Scared that they just lost a lot of the team's power, Sunwoo decides to follow after them. Knowing that there aren't many of them left, the rest of the Regulars decide as well. Paracule continues to call out to them not to go, but upon realizing that he was the only other Regular left, he calls Khun a bastard for betraying his friend. He then heads off to join with the other Regulars; leaving Khun to be the only one left sitting in the Hall.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_12.jpg
Yu Hansung reveals that he's behind all the bad events surrounding Bam

Exiting the room of the 2nd Floor Guardian, Bam is greeted by Yu Hansung, who asks how his meeting with the giant eel went. Bam answers that he got permission from the Guardian to take the test with Rachel, which Yu Hansung answers that he believes Bam to be out of his mind making this decision just for her. Yu Hansung also reveals to Bam that he actually knew Bam was an Irregular from the very beginning, and of the connection between him and Rachel. Bam is left surprised by the reveal, which Yu Hansung answers that forcing Bam to give up the Crown Game, sending Hoh the memo, and not fully healing Rachel's leg, were all part of his plan.

Shocked by the revelation, Bam calls Yu Hansung out as a bad person, which the Ranker admits to doing it because Bam is a dangerous Irregular who's already proven to be insane enough to risk his own life for another girl's dream. Yu Hansung informs Bam that the type of person the boy is is something that nobody in the Tower wants. Figuring that Rankers would know, Bam asks if there truly is something higher up the Tower worth risking everything to see, which Yu Hansung answers that there's more wealth and beauty than anyone could ever imagine. However, Bam answers that none of that matters if Rachel isn't going to be there.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_13.jpg
Rak admitting that he caught on to Khun's plan to make everyone take Bam's test

Yu Hansung answers that the girl's absence on the higher Tower Floors isn't going to change what Bam could obtain up there. However, Bam counters by stating that without Rachel, everything to him would be meaningless no matter what. He also points out that while he may look insane to Yu Hansung, he, in return, sees Yu Hansung as someone who wasn't able to find something to cherish amongst the garbage all throughout the Tower. Bam goes about claiming that he doesn't care what anyone says. That he will make it up the Tower, and find what he wants up here. Yu Hansung is next seen giving off a smile as he watches Bam walk away.

Back to the Position Test hall, Khun is seen by himself lying on the ground looking up at the ceiling. He is then greeted by Rak, who informs his teammate that he can stand up now that the other turtles have all gone to take Bam's test. Getting up to a sitting position, Khun notes how Rak has been getting better at understanding how the former does things, which Rak answers that he understands when people are scheming inside their turtle shell. He calls Khun a sneaky turtle, and gives off a grin knowing that Khun had planned this to make sure that all the Regulars would join Bam's test.

Bam's Special Final Test - Submerged Fish Hunt

Regulars attend Hoh's funeral

Some time later, the Regulars are seen at a 2nd Floor cemetery for those who died on the Floor of Tests. Bam and company attend a funeral that's been established for Hoh as Serena honors his death by opening a bottle, and pooring its contents into the tiny pool acting as Hoh's casket. Rachel can be seen watching the funeral from the window of her room, and honor's Hoh's death as well.

Later on, Bam is seen training with Endorsi for the upcoming final test that will be given by the 2nd Floor Guardian. Preparing one of her red needles, Endorsi charges at Bam, who quickly gets defeated, and is forced to the ground. Bam remains on the ground gasping for air to get ready to continue with his training.

Meanwhile, Khun and Shibisu are seen in one of their resting rooms coming up with plans together that their team will be following for the Guardian test. At another location, the spear-bearers are seen also training for the Guardian test. Rak and Aleksai have a competition hitting targets with their spears as Paracule watches them. Elsewhere, Sunwoo Nare returns the Narumada sword back to Chunhwa, who's happy to have his ignition weapon returned to him.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_15.jpg
Bam trains with Endorsi for the upcoming Guardian test

For the Rankers, Ren sits by waiting for the Guardian test to start, and is seen holding a necklace with an unknown green gem. Lero-Ro is shown appearing before Rachel, and provides for her a special chair that she will have to use during the final exam.

Later on when night time comes around, the Regulars between those that failed, and those that made it to the final test, are all seen gathered in a resting room having a good time, and getting drunk. Serena looks in Shibisu's direction, and thinks back to all the moments she shared with him until this point, and then goes back to getting drunk with the rest of the Regulars. Meanwhile, Bam and Rachel, now in her special chair, are seen outside; both looking up at the fake dark blue sky of the 2nd Floor.

The next day, Bam gets ready for another training session against Endorsi. She charges Bam like before, but he's able to react this time, and dodges out of the way of Endorsi's punch. Bam gets excited at the thought that he's making progress, but Endorsi ends up tripping him to the ground once more. Wanting to cry, Endorsi sticks out her hand to help him up, but psychs Bam out, and causes him to fall to the ground once more. Meanwhile, Rak and Aleksai are seen continuing their spear-throwing duel.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_16_4.jpg
Bam and the remaining Regulars arrive at the Submerged Fish Hunt test

Eventually, the Regulars who passed the Position Test all gather before Yu Hansung and Lero-Ro for the final test high above a giant mountainous arena. Yu Hansung announces that it's time to begin the 2nd Floor's final test, and states that their test that's been provided by the Guardian is known as a Submerged Fish Hunt.

To start the test, Bam and Rachel are placed in a bubble within a giant lake that's filled with shoals of fish. Rachel points out how pretty the sight of the surrounding fish is, and that it's like they've become a part of it. Meanwhile, at another location of the test, Shibisu is seen watching over a group of seal-like creatures, and informs Khun that they haven't moved yet. Khun tells him to continue waiting it out as Shibisu is left complaining about why this test seems so ridiculous.

Previously, before the start of the test, Yu Hansung begins to explain to the Regulars how the Submerged Fish Hunt works. The main purpose of the test being that they have to chase after hidden fish, and catch them. Rak laughs that this will be easy for him since this is his specialty, but Yu Hansung informs the alligator that it's not the Regulars that will be chasing after the fish. Bringing up a screen showing the picture of a seal-like creature, Yu Hansung tells the Regulars that these will be the ones doing the chasing.

Seeing the Regulars react to the image, Yu Hansung answers that they're herder creatures known as Net Dolphins. Yu Hansung then shows a second image of the Net Dolphin Queen that sits at the middle of a platform floating over a large empty area. Displaying a picture that looks like a wine glass, Yu Hansung explains that at the bottom of the empty area beneath the Net Dolphin Queen is a hole connected to an underground water source. At 10am, the water begins to rise from the spring, and begins to fill up the empty area beneath the Net Dolphin Queen around 5pm.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_17.jpg
Yu Hansung explains how the wine glass Net Dolphin Queen feeding event works

When the wine glass fills up, the fish begin to gather here, and it's at this time that the Net Dolphin Queen has her meal. Yu Hansung continues the explanation that this is where the normal Net Dolphins come into play as the ones who help prepare the food for their queen. Gathering around their queen, the Net Dolphins create a shinsu net along the edges of the wine glass that's now filled with water and fish.

Shibisu answers the result for Yu Hansung that the net carries all the fish up to their Queen, which the Ranker states to be correct. He states that it's the Net Dolphin's job to make the meal for their Queen easy to eat. At this point, Khun questions how they, as the Regulars, fit in to this Net Dolphin event. Which Yu Hansung goes about explaining next.

Returning to the present, the Net Dolphins finally begin to move, which Shibisu informs Khun about. Annoyed that it took them so long to get moving, Khun questions if the Net Dolphins can truly get their queen's meal event finished around 5pm. He also figures that now must be the time that Bam and Rachel's bubble has started to move. Meanwhile in their bubble, Rachel and Bam see that the net has begun to drop into the wine glass, and that the Net Dolphin chase has begun.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_18.jpg
A bubble housing Bam and Rachel must reach the Queen to win the test

Back to before the test, Yu Hansung answers Khun's question that its the Regulars job to make sure that the Net Dolphins succeed in bringing up the shinsu net to their queen so that Bam and Rachel, who will be placed in the water with the fish, can reach the Net Dolphin Queen. Bam questions what the Ranker means by that, which Yu Hansung explains that Bam and Rachel will have a special shinsu bubble placed around them, and get sent through a small passage at the side of the wine glass to then float within the water beneath the Net Dolphin Queen.

Yu Hansung continues that the bubble is made to move according to the net made by the Net Dolphins so that the bubble will be pulled up with the net to eventually reach the queen. The Ranker finishes by stating that if Bam and Rachel makes it to the Queen to get eaten, and are able to make it out through the other end, then they've passed the Guardian's 2nd Floor test. Yu Hansung also adds that there's no safety issues they need to worry about regarding the bubble not being able to hold up in the water. Still confused, Levin point out how, apart from Bam and Rachel, the rest of them still have nothing to do. However, Yu Hansung answers that when tuna appear to eat sardine, sharks will appear to eat the tuna. Meaning that the Net Dolphins have enemies that they need protection from.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_19_1.jpg
Enemy One: The Barnacle Goblins and their pet Giant Marsh Worms

Back to the present test, Hatz is seen looking down at a group of creatures that their team has labeled as the thief. Levin asks how the situation is, which Hatz answers that they don't appear to be moving any time soon.

Another switch back to before the test occurs as Yu Hansung is seen showing the Regulars an image of the test's thief. Yu Hansung explains that they're known as Barnacle Goblins, and while they don't actually eat Net Dolphins, they will try to steal the fish that the Net Dolphins will be chasing. Beside the Barnacle Goblin is a picture of a Giant Marsh Worm, which the goblins use to steal the fish.

The Ranker explains that the mouth of the worms can dig into the earth, and break into the outer rock wall of the wine glass to suck out the fish for their goblin owners. Yu Hansung also adds that if the goblins manage to suck up Bam and Rachel's bubble before they reach the Net Dolphin Queen, then the Regulars will fail the test.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_20.jpg
Enemy Two: The Dogs

Switching to another image, Yu Hansung explains another enemy of the Net Dolphins, the Striped Ground Pig. Nicknamed as Dogs, the Ranker explains that unlike the goblins, these pigs eat Net Dolphins, and are actually not in a good relationship with the Barnacle Goblins since they get in the way of the goblins trying to steal the fish. Once more returning to the present test, Hatz asks if the Dogs have arrived yet. Levin states that they haven't, and asks for Hatz to continue watching over the Barnacle Goblins since their number one priority is to make sure that the goblins don't suck Bam and Rachel's bubble out of the wine glass. Hatz next asks about the location of the Bull, which Levin answers that they haven't, and hopes that it doesn't ever appear.

Another flashback to Yu Hansung explaining the test occurs as he shows an image of the Bull to the Regulars. Showing a strange looking creature with a black cloak wielding a long stick, Yu Hansung explains that the Bull is an incredibly powerful monster that somehow made its way into the lower Floors of the Tower, and has established itself as the top of the food chain.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_21.jpg
Enemy Three: The Bull

The Ranker then warns the Regulars that it got its nickname, the Bull, because it doesn't just eat Net Dolphins, but Regulars as well, and that if it appears during their attempt to complete the Guardian's Submerged Fish Hunt test, then it will make their exam much more difficult.

A switch back to the present occurs as the Bull is seen walking into the rocky tunnels of the Submerged Fish Hunt test. Cracking its neck a few times, the Bull prepares itself for the first being it comes across.

Outside the 2nd Floor, Princess Yuri, and the Rankers of Wolhaiksong, are seen reaching the edge of a cliff. Yuri questions if what Evan told her about this being their only option, which Evan answers that jumping off into the dark abyss she sees before her is the only way to sneak into the Floor of Tests without anyone noticing their movements. The Jahad Princess gives off a sigh, and orders for her group to jump after her while Evan is seen sticking his tongue out at Yuri behind her back for her complaining. Catching Evan in the act, Yuri shoves him off the cliff, and states that he will be going first, which causes Evan to curse back up at the princess.

The Start of the Final Test

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_22.jpg
Shibisu watches over the Net Dolphins beginning the feeding event

Back to the Guardian's test, Hatz is seen still watching the Barnacle Goblin group, and notes how they've been starting to get busy. He then begins to sense something in the area, and turns around to check for what he felt. Looking around, he sees nothing, and wonders to himself if what he sensed was just a wild animal.

Switching over to Shibisu's location, the Regular continues to watch the Net Dolphins continue with their fish chase. Taking a seat, Shibisu complains that he's sick of feeling nervous when nothing's happening. Taking this opportunity to question Shibisu, Khun asks if the former knew that the latter was acting when they were choosing what test to take in the Position Test hall, which Shibisu answers that he did. Khun next asks why he chose to help Bam if he already knew, which Shibisu answers that he didn't have much of a choice since Anaak dragged him into it. Khun figures that Shibisu could have just told Anaak the truth, but the latter tells him of a story he heard from Serena when they had drinks together after Hoh's death.

Shibisu mentions how Serena told him that Bam stands out compared to everyone else around him, because Bam still has the thing that everyone gave up when they entered the Tower. Shibisu points out how Hoh came to hate Bam not because Bam was a powerful monster, but because he still had something precious that he wanted to protect. Shibisu admits that he's also become a bit envious of Bam for that reason, but states that he doesn't want to see Bam lose the thing most precious to him, because Shibisu had already gone through a case where what he held most important was taken away from him. Khun admits that Shibisu is a better person than he thought, which Shibisu answers that he feels the same way about Khun.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_23.jpg
The Bull attacks Shibisu

At this point, a light in the distance catches Shibisu's attention. Khun asks what he's seeing, but Shibisu remains silent, and continues to watch the light until he sees it move a bit. Shibisu gets up to start moving again, but is caught off-guard when the light starts racing towards him. He dodges out of the way, and sees the full view of the Bull trying to eat him. Khun asks again what's wrong as Shibisu yells out that the Bull has made its appearance in the test. Shibisu begins to run for his life, and complains that the Bull is nothing like how Yu Hansung described it being similar to Rak. He begs for someone to come help him as Khun states that he needs to hold out as long as he can.

Getting a sniff of something else, the Bull catches sight of the Net Dolphin that Shibisu had been following and begins to move in its direction. Shibisu realizes that they're going to be in big trouble if the Bull reaches the herder dolphins, and throws a rock in the creature's direction. The rock bounces off the Bull, who looks in Shibisu's direction. Shibisu points to himself saying that he's delicious, but the Bull gives off a smile, and continues moving towards the location of the Net Dolphins. Shibisu gets annoyed that the Bull ignored him, and figures that his only choice left is to chase after the creature. Catching up to the Bull, Shibisu kicks the creature in the neck claiming once more that he'd be a delicious meal. The Bull then grabs Shibisu's leg, and smashes him into the ground. Shibisu remains on his back as the Bull moves to eat his face.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_24.jpg
Endorsi and Anaak come to Shibisu's aid to fight the Bull

He dodges the Bull's bite moving side-to-side continuously as Shibisu manages to land a kick to the Bull's chest. Shibisu tries to crawl away proud of himself that he may have caused the Bull some pain. However, the Bull is shown to still be latched on to Shibisu's leg, and pulls the Regular back towards it.

The Bull tries once more to bite Shibisu's head off, but Shibisu is able to get back up, and begins running for his life; begging for the Bull to go after the Net Dolphins instead. Shibisu yells out for his mom to help him, and his call is suddenly answered as the Green April is shown striking the Bull away from him. Looking in the direction that the Green April came from, Shibisu sees Anaak, who tells the Bull creature that it shouldn't eat her teammate, or else it will get sick.

Spinning one of her red needles, Endorsi is seen walking alongside Anaak, who agrees with Anaak that Shibisu wouldn't make a good meal. Endorsi then points to Anaak, and tells the Bull that it will be good for its health if it chooses to eat the green lizard. In return, Anaak tells the witch to shut up, and makes fun of her heavy make-up. Shibisu can't believe his eyes at the sight of the two Jahad Princesses working together, and concludes that a strong pair has arrived as reinforcements. However, the two princesses end up continuing to bicker at one another; leaving Shibisu to get chewed on by the Bull. Going back to 30 minutes before the start of the Submerged Fish Hunt test, the Regulars are all seen gathered around a table to discuss how they will go about completing it.

Shibisu explains how the ecosystem surrounding the Net Dolphin Queen works

Shibisu points out to the group how the ecosystem surrounding the Net Dolphin Queen is in perfect balance amongst the three primary creatures: the Net Dolphins, the Barnacle Goblins, and the Dog pigs. He explains that the Net Dolphins don't need as much protection as they would think, because the goblins wish to steal the fish, so they would move to protect the dolphins from predators, such as the Dogs. The pigs in return wish to eat the Net Dolphins, so they fight the goblins in order to reach the dolphins. He also mentions how even if the Dogs make it through to eat some of the Net Dolphins, the net to bring the fish up to their queen will get smaller and smaller, so not as many Net Dolphins will be required to hold the net. Shibisu ends his explanation stating that the Queen will replenish the dolphins that were lost in order to be ready for the next feeding event at a later time.

Having heard the explanation, Chunhwa asks how they will deal with the goblin's Giant Marsh Worms, which Khun reminds the team that the worms are their biggest threat since they can end the test right away if they manage to suck up Bam and Rachel's bubble from the wine glass lake. Khun explains that they have to kill the worms to not allow this to happen, but entering a fight against their Barnacle Goblins owners would mean that there would be nothing to fight the Dogs. He gives the spear-bearers the task of killing the worms, and will spring into action when they get word from the scout Regulars, who will be watching over the goblins, that the goblins have begun to make their move.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_26.jpg
Khun explains how getting the goblins and Dogs to fight one another is a necessity

Khun then explains that the worm killings from the spear-bearers will be out-of-sight to keep their team in the clear, and once the Dogs show up, they must make sure that the Barnacle Goblins get stuck in a battle against said pig creatures. Khun leaves off with a warning that this plan is just a sketch, and they'll have to adapt to problems they may encounter during the test. He brings up their other big issue, the appearance of the Bull, which can ruin the ecosystem surrounding the Net Dolphin Queen completely. Levin reminds him that Yu Hansung told them the Bull won't appear, but Khun answers that the Ranker is toying with the Regulars, and it will no doubt appear during the test. To combat the Bull when it appears, Khun comes up with one simple answer. They use the Jahad Princesses.

Returning to the present, Shibisu continues to watch the two princesses bicker at one another, and questions if Khun's plan against the Bull will actually work out. Endorsi takes a seat on the ground, and complains that she doesn't want to be part of this due to the disgusting scenery, and questions why she has to be the one to fight the Bull. She orders for Anaak, who's standing near her, to be the one to take care of the Bull since it looks like her, which irritates Anaak.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_27.jpg
Endorsi suggests to turn the Bull hunt into a five-minute round competition

The green lizard decides to take a seat as well not wanting to fight either, which leaves Shibisu scared for his life. He complains if the two princesses really expect him to be the one that somehow has to fight the Bull, but Endorsi and Anaak continue to sit by doing nothing. The Bull attacks Shibisu once more, who's then forced to go on the run.

Watching Shibisu get chased around by the Bull, Anaak questions if Endorsi is actually scared about fighting it, which the latter answers that what the former asked was a poor joke. Endorsi asks in return if she's sad to have to kill a creature that looks like her family, which Anaak answers that she wants to kill her now. However, Endorsi then asks if they should turn this into a competition to see who can kill it first. She explains that they will take five minute turns to hunt the Bull, and whoever catches it first is the winner. Anaak asks what the prize will be, which Endorsi answers that what she wants in the Black March, and in return, she will give Anaak everything she has.

Anaak points out how that's an unfair trade for her to give up the Black March, even if Endorsi chose to put her life on the line as well. However, Anaak gives off a grin, and states that they should do it, but only on one condition. If she wins, then Endorsi has to be her slave all the way up until her eventual death.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_28.jpg
Endorsi takes on the Bull first

Anaak asks if Endorsi is ok with that, which the latter gets up, and states that she will be going first. In the background, Shibisu can be seen begging for help as the Bull closes in on him. Stretching out her arms, Endorsi asks if Anaak is going to regret her loss of the Black March, but Anaak answers that she's going to be the one regretting becoming a slave.

Pinning Shibisu against the ground, the Bull tries to eat the Regular once more as Shibisu complains why the princesses haven't come to his rescue yet. The Bull catches sight of Endorsi walking towards it, who questions the creature why it would prefer to eat something stale over fresh meat such as herself. She calls herself a five minute meal as the Bull gets up off Shibisu, and turns to face Endorsi. Shibisu warns her that she should be fighting the Bull alongside Anaak, but the Jahad Princess ignores him, and yells out in excitement that the Black March is about to be hers. The Bull, in return, stands ready to fight Endorsi.

At another location in the Guardian's test, the spear-bearers are seen standing at a high location in the mountains. Rak takes a seat, and complains that not being able to do anything is such a bore, and orders for Paracule to do something funny. However, Paracule complains to him that he's no comedian. Lying down in frustration, Rak states that he wishes to have been chosen as one of the people to fight the Bull.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_29.jpg
Hatz informs everyone that the goblins and their pet worms have started moving

It's at this moment that he gets a call for the spear-bearers to finally get moving. Rak jumps up in surprise that he's finally getting to do something, and orders for Paracule to follow along, who complains that Rak hasn't been saying his name properly. Hatz, who's now on the run, announces to them that the Barnacle Goblins with their worm pets have started to move.

Waiting in the bubble with Rachel, Bam thinks to himself that something about this has felt strange ever since he was brought to the test. That some form of power has been flowing into him. He then hears a loud cracking sound, and questions if something is moving above the two of them.

Still on the run, Hatz informs the team that even though the Barnacle Goblins aren't that fast, there turned out to be a lot more than they were expecting. Khun instructs Hatz to continue keeping an eye on them, and states that its time for the spear-bearers to step in. Rak and company stand by as they're told that a single miss will be game over for all of them.

Khun then contacts Shibisu to know how it's going at the latter's location, but to his surprise, he hears Shibisu informing him that the battle against the Bull may be over earlier than expected. The Bull is seen on its knees coughing up green blood while Endorsi stands before it twirling one of her red needles in victory.

Khun asks what Shibisu's referring to, which he answers that they miscalculated actually needing both Jahad Princesses to fight the Bull. That only Endorsi was needed. Khun finds it surprising that the Bull is a lot weaker than expected, but Shibisu answers that having fought it himself, he could tell that it was a strong and agile monster that had a thick enough skin to absorb all attacks. It was just the fact that it was Endorsi rather than anyone else that the Bull was able to be beaten.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_30.jpg
Endorsi vs. the Bull

Moments prior, the Bull charges at Endorsi ready to eat the Jahad Princess. However, she dodges the Bull's bite, and lands a kick to the side of the creature's head. The force of the kick smashes the Bull against the ground, which causes it to start coughing up green blood. With that, Shibisu had already determined that the Jahad Princess was way stronger than it.

Seeing Endorsi stand before the struggling Bull, Shibisu admits to Khun that he didn't believe she came out of a match against the Ranker, Quant, in a tie, but this beatdown on the Bull was enough to tell him otherwise. Endorsi starts to taunt the creature for being weak as Shibisu states that despite looking scary, she is looking a bit attractive as well. Meanwhile, Anaak starts to get annoyed seeing Shibisu drooling over how much of a badass Endorsi came off to him.

Stepping on the Bull's head, Endorsi finds it disappointing that she was brought out here just for this weak creature that everyone was afraid of, and states that it would have been more fun for her to just fight Bam again. Kicking the Bull, Endorsi orders for it to wake up, but is suddenly able to launch a surprise attack by grabbing hold of Endorsi, and lifting her off the ground. Anaak looks on in excitement as the Bull lifts up the Jahad Princess to try to eat her, but ends up being forced to let go when she stabs one of her red needles into it. Endorsi figures that this fight is easier than she thought, and jumps into the air. She then comes crashing down on the Bulls head with another kick, which forces the Bull to the ground. Shibisu is left excited about the easy victory while Anaak is shown annoyed again at the sight of Endorsi doing well.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_31.jpg
Anaak intervenes to stop Endorsi from winning the hunt competition

Standing before the defeated Bull, Endorsi announces that a death ceremony is in order. Despite still having a minute left before her five minute time limit runs out, Endorsi states that she can't wait any longer knowing that the Black March is about to be hers. Anaak starts to become enraged hoping that the Bull wakes up again to continue fighting, and is somehow able to do so at the last second by dodging where Endorsi was going to land the finishing blow on it. As a result, Endorsi lands face first on the ground due to the miss.

Becoming enraged herself, Endorsi complains to Anaak that she must have done something, which Anaak turns away trying to deny half-heartedly. Endorsi continues to complain to stop pretending that she didn't do anything, and must of cheated, but Anaak continues to remain silent. She continues to try to force Anaak to tell the truth, but at this point, Shibisu notices that the Bull was able to get itself up, and run away from the current fight.

The time limit for Endorsi ends as Anaak jumps ahead to catch up to the Bull since it's now her turn to hunt it. Endorsi chases after her claiming that Anaak had already lost due to interrupting her hunt, but Anaak counters by stating that no one made such a rule, which causes Endorsi to curse at her.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_32.jpg
Ren waits within the test for his Bull to lure the Jahad Princesses to him

Shibisu is seen trying to catch up to them as well begging for the two princesses not to chase after it into the darkness without a lighthouse. However, they out run Shibisu to the point that he can no longer see them, and is forced to stop. He then informs Khun that their side of the test may actually take longer then he thought, which leaves Khun completely confused.

At another location of the Submerged Fish Hunt test, Ren is seen having a meal as he sits by waiting for the people to show up that are required to complete his mission. Fishing his food, Ren gives off a smile upon realizing that Endorsi and Anaak had taken his bait.

Switching over to Sunwoo Nare's test location, the Regular is seen sitting on a rock, and is holding a big pot on her lap. A small yellow creature is also seen near her. She informs Khun that there's a way to complete his next plan, which he thanks Sunwoo for letting him know. Khun admits that he's amazed to have found out that Sunwoo is an anima Regular, and states that it's the first time he's ever seen one, which Sunwoo answers that she tries to keep it to herself since it's not an easy skill to learn.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_33.jpg
Sunwoo explains her rare anima Position to Khun

Khun asks if this is why she chose not to reveal this Position skill until now, which she answers that she figured that it's useless in battle, but showed it off to her scout Position teacher to try to score some extra points. Khun realizes now that she only does stuff that's beneficial to her, which Sunwoo states that she hopes Khun will keep his end of their bargain. In return, Khun answers that he will definitely give her what he promised, but states that he doesn't find her very attractive at the moment seeing her not want to willingly help others.

Sunwoo counters Khun's statement by stating that Khun doesn't know what he's talking about, and that people like herself do better when they fall in love. Khun doesn't agree with her, but Sunwoo explains that compared to guys, who are born to love, girls live on, because they love. That the moment a girl is sure that she loves someone, everything changes, and she really begins to open up to others. Khun jokes if she heard that in a magazine, which Sunwoo complains that she can't understand how someone so mean could have so many girls falling for him.

Going back to her anima Position, Khun asks if its possible to use on the Bull or Net Dolphins. She answers that it would be difficult at her level, but higher Rankers would be able to do it easily. Sunwoo then asks Khun if there's something that caught his attention, but Khun states that it's nothing important, and that they should finish their current objectives. However, hearing that it's possible for anima Regulars to take control of the Bull leaves Khun worried.

    Ren's Trap

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_34.jpg
Endorsi falls into the Bull's trap

Within a dark watery area of the Submerged Fish Hunt test, Endorsi is seen running through the darkness until landing on a rock pillar in order to look around. Irritated that she lost the Bull in the darkness, Anaak gets even more annoyed that she lost sight of Anaak as well. Endorsi thinks to herself that she tried to sense the direction that the Bull went through the shinsu waves, but figures that it would be difficult to do if the Bull is hiding in the water beneath her. She also realizes that if the Bull attacks her, she wouldn't have much room to work with being on the top of a tiny rock pillar. At this point, she senses an attack, and jumps out of the way, only to land back on the pillar not realizing where the attack came from.

Looking at the darkness all around her, Endorsi figures that she's fallen into the Bull's trap. She then hears a splashing sound from nearby, and prepares a giant red needle ready to counter it. Throwing the needle in the direction she heard the splash, the Bull surprises the Jahad Princess by jumping out behind her, and manages to pull Endorsi into the water with it. Now underwater, Endorsi holds her breath, and tries to break herself loose of the Bull. However, she is shocked to realize that the Bull's grip has gotten harder than their previous fight. Running out of breath, Endorsi continues to struggle, and concludes that this has become a bad situation for her.

Nearby, Anaak continues to jump along the rocky terrain in an unknown location of the test, but has lost sight of the Bull as well. Anaak hopes that Endorsi didn't come across it before her, and is soon able to spot a light in the distance. Anaak jumps toward it thinking that it's the Bull, but sees that the light is playing keep away from her.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_35.jpg
Anaak runs into Ren during her search for the Bull

Chasing after it, Anaak orders for the light to stop moving, and eventually lands on a large rock platform. Looking around, Anaak realizes that she may have now lost sight of the light she was chasing. However, it's at this point that she hears a voice asking what the person, known as Anaak Jahad, is looking for.

Confused about who's talking to her, Ren, with a giant pet eel, reveals himself out of the darkness to Anaak. The wave contoller teacher asks if the green lizard is surprised to see him, but Anaak ignores him, and jumps away ready to go back to chasing after the Bull. Surprised by Anaak's action, Ren begs for her to wait, which causes Anaak to ask why he's bothering her. Ren points out that he's just surprised to see a ghost here since she died in front of his eyes, which confuses Anaak.

Anaak yells for Ren to explain his last statement, which causes the Ranker to reveal himself to Anaak as the 67th number of Jahad's Royal Enforcement Division. Holding a green gem in front of him, Ren points out that he's one of Anaak's enemies. The sight of the gem stuns Anaak, which causes her to grip the Green April harder than before. She orders for Ren to tell her where he got the gem necklace, which Ren reminds her once more that he's technically her enemy, and that it was he that killed her mother. Taunting Anaak, Ren asks if she wants the gem back, which causes Anaak to begin walking towards him in anger. She orders for Ren to give the gem back to her, but all Ren does in return is give off a giggle.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_36.jpg
Shibisu trying to catch up to the Jahad Princesses

Lagging behind Endorsi and Anaak, Shibisu continues to try to catch up to them, but has to stop to catch his breath. He informs Khun that he still hasn't been able to find them, and complains that the two Jahad Princesses went out of range to properly communicate with them. He then asks Khun about what's going on with the Barnacle Goblins, which Khun answers that they'll be arriving at the location of the Net Dolphin Queen pretty soon. However, they've been unable to attack them since more appeared than they originally thought. Shibisu also asks about the Dogs, and is told that they haven't appeared yet.

Khun then informs Shibisu that what the latter talked about earlier was correct, which Shibisu finds surprising that it was worth taking a look into. Khun explains that their next plan is ready, but will require patience for it to work properly.

Trying to climb up to the location that Endorsi and Anaak went, Shibisu ends up falling back to the bottom of the rock wall. He gets up claiming that he's fine, but Khun informs him to not worry about the two Jahad Princesses, and that they're be alright, because they're both strong individuals. Looking into the darkness, Shibisu agrees with the statement, but states that something about this turn of events doesn't feel right.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_37.jpg
Anaak vs. one of Ren's pets

Back to Anaak's location, the green lizard continues to approach Ren with her Green April ready. She orders once more for the Ranker to hand over the necklace with the green gem, but Ren gives off another giggle, and backs away into the darkness. He states that if Anaak wants it, she will have to catch him first, which causes Anaak to begin charging towards Ren. However, a shinsu Bang is shot towards Anaak, who quickly dodges out of the way. Looking in the direction that the Bang came from, Anaak is greeted by a floating one-eyed ball creature that looks similar to the white wool suit Ren's been wearing. Holding the creature by a chain from the darkness, Ren explains that what she's looking at is his favorite pet, and had modified it to be a bit dangerous. He states that if Anaak manages to defeat it, then he will hand over the green gem necklace to her.

Getting enraged, Anaak claims that this task is too easy for her, and extends the Green April to strike at Ren's pet. However, her weapon gets blocked by a blue shield made by the pet, which Ren reminds her that he's been greatly modified to survive these kind of sloppy attacks. Anaak then tries a different approach, and ignites the Green April to extend even larger, which destroys the blue shield, and pushes Ren's pet back into the darkness.

Staring at the darkness before her, Anaak orders once more for Ren to hand over the necklace, and to give up his life to her as well. Ren is heard in the darkness finding it surprising that a Fake Princess turned out to be someone that could ignite a weapon from the 13-month series, but informs the green lizard that it's still too early to hand over the necklace. Confused by Ren's statement, the Ranker informs Anaak that his pet is still perfectly fine as the white ball creature appears behind Anaak ready to attack

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_38.jpg
Anaak gets stabbed by Ren's hidden second pet

The creature fires a beam of shinsu from the floating cannon-like weapon in its possession, which Anaak dodges out of the way of. Anaak is confused at the sight of Ren's pet being perfectly fine after taking a hit from the ignited Green April, which Ren reminds her once more that the creature is a bit dangerous. Ren's begins to charge up another beam of shinsu as Anaak takes this moment to examine her current situation. Seeing the blue shield, Anaak figures that it's the creatures means of defense to guard itself from the Green April. She decides that her best option isn't to attack the creature, but to go around it to go for the pet's owner hiding in the darkness.

Running passed the ball creature, Anaak can make out what she believes to be Ren's silhouette in the darkness holding the chain of his pet. However, upon getting up close, she is left stunned to see that it's just a second ball creature.

Ren gives off another laugh from the darkness taunting Anaak for thinking that just because there was a chain, she would think that he would be there holding the other end. His laugh becomes even greater calling Anaak dumb for falling for his trick as the second ball creature reveals a giant yellow weapon, and stabs into Anaak's shoulder. Blood pours out of her as Ren continues to laugh; pointing out how mutts truly are stupid.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_39.jpg
Bam and Rachel continue waiting it out inside the wine glass bubble

Within the wine glass bubble, Bam clenches his fist, and thinks to himself that the sensation he's been feeling has been getting stronger. Waving his hand forward, he deduces that it's like a huge wave of shinsu is flowing through his body. The fish begin to swirl around the bubble due to the dolphin net as Bam is left shocked and confused as to what the power is that he's been feeling inside him. Meanwhile, Rachel is seen taking a peek at where Bam's been standing, and remains silent at the sight of the confused Bam.

At another test location, Lauroe is seen hard at work using his wave controller abilities hiding something in the ground beneath him. Chunhwa and Sunwoo appear before him, who notice that Lauroe finished up with the last one, and is glad to see the job completed before the Dogs arrived. Seeing the two holding his blanket and pillow hostage, Lauroe orders for the two to give them back to him now that he's finished his part in the deal. However, Sunwoo informs him that they can't hand them over yet until the test is over, which Lauroe complains that that wasn't a part of the deal. Sunwoo threatens that she will rip the pillow up if he continues to whine, which causes Lauroe to bow to her for forgiveness.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_40.jpg
Lauroe informs the team that the Dogs are finally here

At this point, Lauroe catches wind of something, and looks in another direction. Chunhwa and Sunwoo question what caught his attention, which Lauroe answers that the Dogs have finally arrived.

Watching the Barnacle Goblins continue to move in the direction of the Net Dolphin Queen, Rak and Paracule are seen forcing to stand by in silence. Rak questions Khun when they can begin hunting the Marsh Worms, which Khun answers that the spear-bearers can only start the moment the Dogs are brought into a fight with the Barnacle Goblins. Rak is left complaining that he's completely bored at the moment, but notices the goblins ordering for their Marsh Worms to start digging. Rak complains to Khun that they can't wait any longer, but Khun orders him once more to continue waiting it out.

Paracule pictures himself losing the test as Rak reminds Khun that they'll fail the Guardian's test if the worms breach the wine glass to suck the bubble housing Bam and Rachel out. However, Khun states that he knows this very well, and informs the alligator that he has plans to deal with this problem.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_41.jpg
Paracule foolishly gives away the spear-bearers location to the Barnacle Goblins

Khun states once more that he will make sure that the Dogs are brought to their location, which Rak finally decides to wait it out for just a bit longer. However, to Rak and Khun's shock, Paracule is seen throwing his spear down at the Barnacle Goblins, which grabs their attention to look in the direction of the spear-bearers. Enraged, Rak complains to Paracule what he just did, who answers that Rak told him to throw. Rak takes a swing at him claiming that he did no suck thing as the Barnacle Goblins all begin to notice the two of them high up on the cliff. Hearing Rak and Paracule continue to bicker, Khun is left annoyed that they ruined the plan by giving their position away to the goblins, and tries to think up a new plan to salvage the situation.

Rak is seen choking Paracule to death as Khun is heard yelling to the two spear-bearers to run towards his lighthouse if they want to live. Seeing Khun's lighthouse behind him, Rak takes hold of Paracule, and begins to make a run for it as the land he had been previously standing on begins to crack. The end of one of the Marsh Worms appears at the spot as Barnacle Goblins come pouring out to catch Rak and Paracule. More Marsh Worms spring out around them as Rak runs through the horde of goblins trying to kill the two of them. Rak manages to to get himself away from the goblin's attempt to encircle them as Paracule continues to complain about almost getting him killed.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_42.jpg
Rak jumps down to the goblins' location with Paracule to salvage the situation

The goblins begin to throw spears in their direction, which causes Paracule to begin crying, and begs for Rak to put him down. One of the goblins manages to get up close to them, but Paracule hits him away, and knocks into a large amount of the goblins chasing after them. Rak congratulates him for said action, which Paracule gives him the thumbs up as if he meant to do that.

However, to Paracule's shock, Rak orders him to hold on tight as the alligator jumps off the cliff towards the lighthouse. Paracule cries out what Rak's doing due to the Barnacle Goblins being below them. The alligator lands on the largest of the Marsh Worms as the goblins prepare themselves to fight the two spear-bearers. Paracule cries out wanting to know why they jumped down to the location of their enemy.

Back to Anaak's location, the green lizard is seen bleeding out on the ground due to the stab from Ren's second pet. Anaak tries to reach for her Green April to continue fighting, but has the weapon kicked up by Ren, and grabbed by his tongue. With the Green April retrieved, Ren claims that part of his mission has been completed. Anaak orders him to give it back, but Ren ends up eating the weapon, and states that he will not. Looking down at the injured Anaak, Ren gives off another giggle, and laughs at how stupid she is for entering the Tower despite having the option to live awhile longer if she stayed outside the Tower living a quiet life.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_43.jpg
Anaak realizes that Ren's Bull was able to capture Endorsi

Ren then states that it's no fun to kill her like this, and shows her a special guest that he brought for this special occasion. Coming out of the darkness, the Bull is seen walking up to the two of them, and is shown to have captured Endorsi.

Seeing the Bull, Anaak questions if Ren was actually controlling the test creature, which Ren answers to be the truth, and that the test had been engineered to make sure that the fake Jahad Princess is killed off. Ren continues to taunt Anaak by stating that because of what she is, everything in the Tower is her enemy, especially those that are connected to King Jahad. Giving off another laugh, Ren orders the Bull to drop Endorsi, and informs the two that it's about time to start the show.

Walking towards Endorsi, Ren orders for the princess to wake up, but she ends up slapping the Ranker for rudely waking her. Trying to make sense of her current situation, Anaak finds it odd seeing the wave controller teacher here, and is surprised to find Anaak bleeding out on the ground nearby. She yells to Endorsi that the wave controller teacher is their enemy, which confuses Endorsi even further.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_44.jpg
Ren introduces himself to Endorsi as a member of RED

Like before, Ren introduces himself as the 67th member of Jahad's Royal Enforcement Division (RED), which causes Endorsi to realize that he's one of the people that does King Jahad's dirty work. She assumes that he's been sent to the 2nd Floor to kill Anaak, which Ren admits. However, before killing the green lizard off, he states that there's something else he wanted to check first. He asks Endorsi if she was planning to help the fake Jahad Princess climb the Tower.

Endorsi attempts to deny the question, but Ren continues his questioning finding it odd that she attempted to eliminate her other fisherman rivals in the Hide-and-Seek test. However, Ren answers the question for her in that she can prove if her attack on the other fishermen was legitimate if she chooses to finish off fisherman Anaak here. Seeing Endorsi not accepting the task right away, Ren questions why she's hesitating to kill her, which Endorsi answers that her strength is needed to help complete the Guardian's test. However, Ren answers that they can continue the test without her once he leaves since he will be taking the Bull with him to make the test a lot easier. Endorsi tries to come up with another excuse, but Ren interrupts, and asks if she's decided to take the side of someone who wishes to take vengeance on Jahad and his Great Families.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_45.jpg
Ren orders Endorsi to show her loyalty to Jahad by killing the fake princess, Anaak

He threatens Endorsi that choosing to side with Anaak would displease Jahad greatly, and the chance of having a 13-month series weapon given to her would greatly decrease. Throwing the Green April to Endorsi, Ren orders for the Jahad Princess to show him if she truly is someone worthy enough to have the power of Jahad bestowed upon her. Thinking it over, Endorsi grips the Green April tight, and turns toward Anaak, who finds it unbelievable that she would actually do something like this. Giving off another giggle, Ren thinks to himself that he shouldn't be doing something like this. However, he admits that he finds being able to control the pretty princess fun, and is finding it harder and harder to hold in his laughter.

Back to Shibisu's location, the Regular falls to the ground in exhaustion, and continuously tries to gasp for air. He states to himself that he can't go any further on the search for Endorsi and Anaak, and has pretty much given up at this point. However, something catches his attention in the darkness before him, which forces Shibisu to get back up into a sitting position. He figures that something's getting closer feeling the pressure of what's coming towards him, and begins to sweat. Seeing a pair of red eyes in the darkness, the unknown person looks in Shibisu's direction, and points out how poor a state the Regular looks to it at the moment. It then states to Shibisu that it would like for the Regular to give it directions.

Endorsi thinks back to when she asked Bam why he wanted to befriend her

Readying the Green April, Endorsi tells Anaak not to blame her as she moves in to finish off the green lizard. Thinking back to her past, she thinks to herself that there's a different place out there that has a seat ready for her that's higher up from the current group of Regulars. However, she stops moving toward Anaak, and remembers back to something else.

During their sparring sessions before the start of the Submerged Fish Hunt test, Bam is seen taking a moment to rest after his spar with Endorsi tired him out. Endorsi takes this opportunity to ask Bam why he wasted some of his Position Test points to make sure that she was added to his friendship list, which Bam answers that while he's someone who hates being lonely, he hates the sight of others also being lonely. Endorsi answers that she likes being alone, and explains that it's a better scenario to be by herself, because it's a worse feeling to be surrounded by people that always bother her. That she has to constantly prove that she's better than them.

Bam answers back that to him, that's just another way of saying she's lonely, and asks if being around him makes her feel that way. Endorsi answers that it doesn't, which Bam finds to be a relief that she can no longer be considered a lonely person. He then states that he worked up an appetite, and that now would be a good time to get something to eat. Bam's statement catches Endorsi off-guard, but she chooses to go along with it.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_47.jpg
Giving each other the 13-month weapons, Endorsi chooses to side with Anaak.

Back to the present, Endorsi holds the hooked end of the Green April up to Anaak's face. The Fake Jahad Princess begins to sweat, and closes her eyes ready to accept her death. However, she opens her eyes when she realizes that the finishing blow didn't come. In return, Endorsi asks Anaak to eat a meal with her after they complete the Guardian's test. This statement disgusts Anaak to realize that Endorsi is choosing a time like this to want to eat a meal together. However, Anaak starts to become confused at the thought that the two of them will be having a meal with one another.

Looking up at Endorsi, Anaak asks if she really means that. Giving off a smile, Endorsi states that it's the truth, and asks for Anaak to lend her the Black March. Unable to answer back properly, Anaak points out that she can only afford cheap food, and that she will pull out Endorsi's eyebrows if she orders something higher class, which ticks the latter off. Getting up off the ground, Anaak states that they first have to deal with the Ranker, and charges at Ren. Endorsi throws her the Green April, which she ignites, and extends the weapon to hit their enemy.

Dodging out of the way of the Green April, Ren is left confused by the recent events. However, he soon realizes that Endorsi had grabbed hold of one of his feet to stall his movements. As a result, Anaak manages to land the Green April on him this time, and smashes Ren into a rock wall. Now holding the Black March, Endorsi jumps toward Ren ready to stab the Ranker. However, Ren gives off another giggle, and claims to Endorsi that his next action against her is in self-defense.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_48.jpg
Ren begins to choke Anaak to death

Ren opens his wool suit, and fires a beam of shinsu from the mouth of his true body onto Endorsi. Anaak calls out to her, but Ren quickly arrives at the green lizard's location; stomping on her neck, and forcing her to the ground. Forcing Anaak to let go of the Green April once more, Ren gives off another giggle, and states that he might as well kill her himself. Getting up after being hit by his shinsu beam, Endorsi orders the Ranker to stop, which Ren informs her that he will be sure to tell King Jahad of what transpired here. Ren points out he will also be sure to write down in his report that he eliminated a competitior for the Bia Family's Jahad Princess, which causes Endorsi to realize that he's part of said family, and had set her up. The Ranker then pushes his foot down on Anaak's neck, and states that it's time for her to die. Anaak screams out in pain as Endorsi is forced to watch Ren choke the green lizard. Still laughing, he points out that the best way to kill insects is to step on them. At this point, a small pebble is thrown at him, but looking to Endorsi, he realizes that it wasn't from her. Looking into the darkness, Ren questions who it was that would dare to throw a pebble at him.

    Yuri and Wolhaiksong's Expedition Arrives

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_49.jpg
Yuri Jahad arrives to save her little sisters from Ren

He continues to look around, but has more pebbles thrown at him. Beginning to get angry, Ren orders for the person throwing pebbles at him to come out of the darkness. Walking towards the Ranker, the attacker repeats Ren's previous question as to who would attack him, and answers that she's the older sister of the two Jahad Princesses that he's been attacking; revealing herself as Yuri Jahad, and the person that Shibisu asked directions from. Surprised by Yuri's arrival, Ren questions why she's travelled down to the Tower's 2nd Floor, which Yuri answers that she's just passing through in the hopes of finding someone that has an item of hers. Shibisu runs over to the location of Endorsi and Anaak as Yuri questions Ren why he's pretending to be friendly to her.

Back to the location of the Barnacle Goblins, Rak is seen standing atop one of the Marsh Worms surrounded by goblins that are ready to attack him and Paracule. The goblins begin climbing up the Marsh Worm to surround the two as Paracule closes his eyes, and cries out fearing that it's over for them. Paracule yells out that he can't die here, as he has an important mission greater than everyone elses that he has to complete. He yells out to the filthy Regulars to help him, but when he finally opens his eyes, he realizes that he and Rak are now floating in the air thanks to Lauroe's shinsu control.

Looking down at the Barnacle Goblins below him, Paracule questions what's going on, and realizes that the Dogs have started to come out of the Marsh Worms, and have begun attacking the goblins. Lauroe lands with Rak and Paracule on a nearby cliff with Sunwoo and Chunhwa, who finally return his blanket and pillow to him.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_50.jpg
Rak and company watch as the Dogs come exploding out of the Marsh Worms

Still shocked at the sight, Paracule questions them why Dogs popped out of the Marsh Worms. Chunhwa answers that it was because the Dogs were moving underground, and came across the mouths of the worms. Paracule remains confused by the answer, which Sunwoo explains that because the Dogs travel by underground tunnels, the worms ended up digging into their tunnel before reaching the wine glass, and ended up sucking up the Dogs. Paracule then questions how they knew that the Dogs moved through underground tunnels, which Khun answers that he was told by Shibisu during their meeting before the start of the Guardian's test that he once read a book about the Dog pigs digging tunnels to damage farmer fields.

Khun explains that he and Shibisu had come up with a plan to see if this theory was true, and had Sunwoo use her anima Position skills to send her pet fish through holes in the ground created by Lauroe to find the Dog tunnels. Sure enough, they came across what was actually a giant labyrinth of tunnels that had been developed by the Dogs. Chunhwa adds in that they analyzed the structure of the Dog's labyrinth, and with the help of Lauroe, Aleksai and Blarouse, they collapsed a number of the tunnels to ensure that the Dogs would be forced to take the only tunnel left that would lead the pigs to the location of the Barnacle Goblins. The result being that the two would clash due to being hated enemies to one another.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_51.jpg
The spear-bearers finally begin the hunt on the Marsh Worms

Rak admits that he now understands why Khun was asking them to wait it out, which Khun answers that any moment later due to the spear-bearers giving away their location would have ruined the entire plan. Rak gets hyped asking if it's finally time to do it, to which Khun gives him the permission to begin the hunt on the remaining Marsh Worms that the Pigs didn't already kill. From his lighthouse, Levin is seen enjoying the sight as he watches the Dogs and Barnacle Goblins duke it out. Rak, Paracule and Aleksai begin to throw their spears to kill off each of the Marsh Worms. Chunhwa also provides help by igniting his Narumada, and fires beams of shinsu down on the worms. Meanwhile, the other remaining spear-bearer, Ghost, continues to stand by and watches the battle go down. The Regulars get annoyed that even now, the cloaked giant chooses not to help them complete the Guardian's test.

Watching the Marsh Worm battle go down from his lighthouse, Khun figures that the test is going well, and admits that the Guardian's test is a lot easier than he expected. However, he remains worried about the fight against the Bull. Due to having lost contact with Shibisu, Khun had sent Hatz to the Bull's last known location to investigate. However, it's at this point that a Wolhaiksong Ranker, Hachuling, comes up behind Khun, and asks what the latter is thinking about at the moment. Standing up with his knife ready, Khun questions who the intruder into his lighthouse is. However, Hachuling informs Khun not to act so tough, which confuses Khun.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_52.jpg
Lero-Ro begins to sense that intruders have broken into the Regular's test

Arriving at a quiet location in the test, Lauroe looks around, and confirms that the surrounding setting is good, and that he's now away from everyone else that could annoy him. Setting up his pillow and blanket on the grass field, Lauroe goes back to sleep, and gives off a smile that everything is now back to normal.

However, his sleep is quickly interrupted by the voice of another Wolhaiksong Ranker, Ms. Ice Strawberry, who points out that she's come across a human. Annoyed, Lauroe questions who's bugging him this time as Strawberry asks why the Regular is choosing to sleep here.

Back at the waiting room, Lero-Ro is seen looking irritated in the direction of the Guardian's test area. Quant questions what the problem is, which Lero-Ro answers that he's sensing an intruder in the test, which surprises Quant.

The latter states that he will be sure to kill off anyone who dares to intrude with the Regular's test. However, Lero-Ro informs him that they've been given orders by their Supervisor to not step foot in the test no matter what. Unable to do anything, Quant becomes annoyed as to what's going on with the test.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_53.jpg
Hachuling of Wolhaiksong borrows Khun's lighthouse to find his friends

Looking at the intruder in his lighthouse, Khun notices that there's something about the person that seems similar to him. Feeling nostalgic, Hachuling mentions that it's been awhile since he's been in a lighthouse like this. Khun asks what he plans to do, which Hachuling answers that he will be borrowing Khun's lighthouse for a bit. Activating the small gadget in his hand, Hachuling begins to work from Khun's lighthouse, which shocks the later that his lighthouse had been hacked into.

Looking at Hachuling, Khun figures that the console in the former's hands is what the Ranker is using to control his lighthouse. Getting angry, Khun points out that he needs the lighthouse since he's in the middle of a test, which Hachuling answers with an apology, and states that he's looking for his teammates that he lost on the way here. Hearing that he has teammates surprises Khun, which Hachuling answers that he will have to deal with their bad temper if he doesn't find them soon. Searching through Khun's lighthouse, Hachuling is able to find the location of his Wolhaiksong teammates, but is surprised to find something going down at Princess Yuri's location.

While Shibisu tries to see if Anaak is ok, Yuri stands opposite Ren. Yuri asks if he's keeping his mouth shut since he's not answering who he is to her, which Ren quickly denies. Like usual, Ren introduces himself as Lo Po Bia Ren, the 67th member of Jahad's Royal Enforcement Division, which Yuri takes note of that he's part of something major.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_54.jpg
Yuri confronts Ren about his actions breaking the rules of the Tower

Ren answers that to be correct, and that he's here to complete his job; to retrieve the Green April of the 13-month series. Hearing about the Green April, Yuri looks over at the green lizard on the ground, and quickly realizes that she's the daughter of the original Anaak Jahad. Ren states that he will now continue with the job he was given, and advises Yuri that she should go back to her search since what he's about to do is something she shouldn't watch.

Ren walks toward Anaak and Shibisu's location prepared once more to finish the green lizard off. However, Yuri orders him to stop moving, which confuses Ren. Yuri reminds him of the rule that a Ranker isn't allowed to harm a Regular during a test, and asks when it became allowed for people connected to Jahad to break the rules, even if it's to do a job.

Yuri informs him that she will be the one that retrieves Green April and Black March, and orders for him to leave before the 2nd Floor Supervisor notices. Ren asks if she's ordering him to let the Fake Jahad Princess go. Yuri attempts to answer that he just shouldn't break the rule of the Tower by killing her during a test, but Ren interrupts with an apology that that is something he can't do.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_55.jpg
Yuri calls out Ren for using the Jahad name for his own benefit

Beginning to get annoyed by Ren's antics, he explains to Yuri that she should know what it means to have the existence of a fake princess walking about, and why it's a given that she must be eliminated. Ren points out that he could understand Endorsi not understanding it since she's still too young, but finds it surprising that the Ranker, Princess Yuri Jahad, would find something as simple as this confusing. Giving off another giggle, Ren states how disappointed King Jahad will turn out to be when he finds out that the princess he gave Black March to has chosen to deny Ren from killing the fake.

Endorsi looks at Ren in anger wondering how he could be someone that speaks like he knows what King Jahad will do. However, she notices Yuri stepping in front of her getting even more enraged. Yuri asks Ren if he just used this opportunity to threaten her, which Ren denies by stating that he's just worried about the future of the Jahad empire. In return, Yuri questions that it appears quite convenient that Ren tends to put the Jahad name at the end of all his actions despite the fact that he's threatening someone who also happens to have the Jahad name attached to them. Yuri points out to Ren that the power of Jahad isn't as trivial as he may think, and that Jahad's power isn't given to those who would go about using the name for convenience.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_56.jpg
An excited Ren attempts to kill Yuri with his full pet arsenal

Showing bloodlust, Yuri orders for Ren to step away, or else she will kill him. Looking at Yuri in silence, Ren admits to himself that the very sight of her gives him goosebumps, but he can't leave due to his status as a part of RED. He also realizes that this is a possible fight that is just too exciting for him to pass up, and that he can no longer control himself inside his wool shell due to being threatened by Princess Yuri.

Unable to take it anymore, Ren's true self begins to nuts as many giant fish appear behind Yuri ready to eat her. He's shown to be having an orgasm over the feeling that he just defeated a Ranker Jahad Princess. However, his moment is interrupted by Yuri asking if he's done yet.

Shocked that Yuri is still ok, he notices the giant blood spatter behind the princess, and questions what just happened to all his pets. Yuri then appears in front of Ren, and is about to flick him with her finger. She states that this action is self-defense as she attempts to flick Ren with her pointer finger to land a devastating hit on him. Ren manages to dodge out of the way of Yuri's attack as the princess orders him to get back over here.

Back to Lauroe, Ms. Strawberry continues to annoy the Regular that sleeping at this location is dangerous and unhealthy, but Lauroe yells at her to leave him alone so that he can go back to sleep. Lauroe tries to go back to sleep, but wonders to himself why the pink woman is even here. Hachuling manages to get through to Strawberry, who informs the former that he's found a homeless guy, which annoys Lauroe even further.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_57.jpg
Evan finally gets in contact with his Wolhaiksong teammates

However, Hachuling informs Strawberry that they've run into a problem. That Yuri has apparently got upset with a Ranker, and that a big fight is about to break out. Strawberry asks about the location, which Hachuling provides to her. Khun is seen off on the side watching the Rankers perform, and wonders to himself how these people are crazy enough to start a fight during a Regular test.

With his work done, Hachuling tells Khun that it's about time for him to go. However, they finally get contact from Evan wondering where the rest of their group will be going. The rest of the team finds it surprising that he's alive, which annoys Evan that his team seems to have thought he didn't make it. Evan then orders for the rest of the Wolhaiksong to let him take care of this himself so that they don't make their problem worse. However, the Wolhaiksong Rankers begin to complain that they want in on the fun as well, and question if Evan is planning to have all the fun to himself.

Evan begins to get angry, and yells back to them that he will be sure to get them all lost on the way back up the Tower. He also complains to himself that he wouldn't be in this situation if Yuri didn't suddenly kick him off the cliff to sneak into the 2nd Floor. Getting sick of the others bugging him, Evan cuts off contact from Strawberry and Hachuling, and decides to get moving.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_58.jpg
Evan, and Kurdan of Wolhaiksong, arrive at Yu Hansung's office

He asks for Kurdan, who had been beside him the whole time, to follow along, which he does. Opening a door, they arrive at the location of the Floor of Test's Supervisor to confront Yu Hansung. Standing before Yu Hansung, Evan and Kurdan notice that the Supervisor has already placed a couple cups of coffee before them. Evan deduces that the Supervisor had already known about their arrival on the 2nd Floor, which Yu Hansung answers that he waited for hours knowing they will eventually appear before him, and gives his greeting to Jahad's master Guide. Evan takes his seat, and accepts the coffee drink. He then asks about 2nd Floor Ruler Evankhell's status, which Yu Hansung answers that Evan, and the rest of his group of intruders, caught a break since Evankhell is currently away to do other work, and had Evankhell been here, they would all be dead.

Pointing out that he caught on to a Jahad assassin (Ren) being a part of the final test for the newest group of Reguars, Evan next questions Yu Hansung as to why he carried out the final test this way. Yu Hansung answers that the interruption of the Ranker was necessary in order to retrieve Black March, which Evan calls him out that the Supervisor isn't going to complain if the Jahad assassin ends up doing something to the test.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_59.jpg
Yu Hansung offers Evan's group an opportunity to end the Ren confrontation

Yu Hansung admits that to be the truth, which annoys Evan that he's talking to someone who has no issue admitting that he's methods for the current test are wrong. The Supervisor then points out that everything he's done so far was given directly by the Guardian of the 2nd Floor, which confuses Evan.

He then asks for Evan to eliminate the Jahad assassin themselves, and retrieve their precious Black March; pointing out that it's only right for people of Jahad to pick up the garbage that they accidently dropped during their journey. Evan realizes what Yu Hansung is referring to, and informs Kurdan that he's got one minute to tell Hachuling about their next course of action. Looking back at Yu Hansung, Evan admits to himself that he finds the Supervisor annoying.

Back to Yuri's location, the princess continues to stand opposite Ren. But before she could commence with her next attack, Evan manages to get in contact with her. Evan warns her that while there's no issue with killing off Ren, it would become a complicated mess if she's found out to be helping the daughter of the original Anaak Jahad. He informs her that Kurdan is ready to deal with the situation from the lighthouse on their end, which finally gets Yuri to calm down.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_60.jpg
Ren gets squished by Kurdan's cutter attack

Ren remains confused about what's going on as Yuri complains to herself that being a Jahad Princess is a tiresome job. Picking up the Black March, Yuri tells Ren that he can do whatever he wants, which shocks Shibisu and Endorsi. Seeing the Ranker princess begin to leave, the Regulars beg her to stay to continue helping them out. Ren however, continues to remain silent trying to figure out what's going on. He then gives off another giggle, and finds it a surprise that Yuri led him into believing that she would actually disobey Jahad's rule. He gives off a last remark to Yuri that she made a smart decision as Yuri continues to remain silent.

Turning around to the Regulars, Ren states that he will now be returning to his job. Shibisu gets up ready to fight, but Ren gives off a giggle not being able to take him seriously. Still walking away, Yuri orders for Kurdan to do it as a ring of shinsu appears above Ren. Pressure from the ring pushes down against Ren as he realizes that what he's feeling is an attack from a wave controller Ranker who has the special Cutter Position. Back at Yu Hansung's office, Kurdan is seen striking a lighthouse with a giant mallet to show that he's transferring the power of his attack over to Ren's location. The after-effect of Kurdan's is felt by Yuri and the surrounding Regulars as they see Ren's wool container completely squished. Ren gives off another giggle admitting that an attack from a Cutter Position Ranker was unexpected, and points out that he now knows that Yuri brought a team along with her. However, Ren admits that by doing it this way, she's ensured that he will not be able to send a report back to King Jahad. He leaves off stating that Yuri is indeed a fearful princess.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_61.jpg
Ren reveals that he sent the Bull to kill the Irregular, Bam

With her work done, Yuri continues to walk away, but Ren asks if the person that the princess came looking for happens to be the Irregular known as Bam, and that he's already sent the Bull after him. Yuri, Endorsi and Shibisu are shown to be shocked by the revelation, which causes Ren to giggle even more. Ren apologizes that losing Bam's talent would be a complete waste, but due to the face that he's an Irregular, Bam's someone that can't stay alive. He informs Yuri that Bam is someone who will not survive beyond this test as the Bull is seen swimming in the wine glass water towards Bam and Rachel's bubble.

Seeing them all confused, Ren points out that finishing him off wont stop the Bull since his body remaining here is just one of his many skins, and that his real self is already far away from this place. Giving off a giggle in Anaak's direction, Ren provides one final warning that he will see her against somewhere down the line as what's left of Ren's wool skin goes silent. Not liking how this Guardian test turned out, Yuri informs Evan that she will be the one to finish this absurd 2nd Floor exam. She claims that she's going to rip this entire mountainous stage apart. Looking around at the terrain around them, Rak and Khun are shown to be confused by the sudden earthquake. Evan begs for Yuri to stop it, which she informs him that this test made no sense to begin with.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_62.jpg
Evan convinces Yuri to not destroy the test area for Bam's sake

Evan continues to beg, but Yuri states that blowing everything up will make sure that she finds Bam. At this point, Yu Hansung takes over for Evan, and tells Yuri that any more interruption from her will cause Bam to automatically fail the test. Yuri is happy to hear that the 2nd Floor Supervisor has decided to talk to her, and gives him a warning that she will be sure to kill him after this, which causes Yu Hansung to admit to himself that she's a bit scary.

Befoer Yuri could continue to destroy the test, Evan informs her that everything from Ren's assassination plot, to her and Wolhaiksong's break in, was all a part of the 2nd Floor Guardian's test. He then states that their role in the test has already ended the moment they took Ren out of the picture, and that from here, it's now Bam's job to finish the test. Evan asks for Yuri to trust Bam to finish it, which leaves Yuri unable to say anything back.

Looking over to Endorsi, Yuri asks if she believes that Bam is someone that can pass this test. Endorsi states that Bam will definitely pass the test, because she told him that they will go on a date after the test, and he would regret it greatly if he ends up missing out on it.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_63.jpg
Yuri hands Shibisu a Wingtree symbol to pass on to Bam

Next, she turns to Shibisu, and throws to him a tiny white wing-like object that he recognizes to be a symbol of a Wingtree. Yuri orders him to make sure that he gives that to Bam, and to tell him to come to the 77th Floor of the Tower with it after he becomes a Ranker. She states that Urek Mazino will be waiting for them there. Yuri then asks if he got all that, which Shibisu admits that he did. Walking over to Anaak, Yuri picks up the Green April, and states that she will be taking this with her as well. Anaak is left confused by the action, which Yuri explains that the weapon is still too heavy for the green lizard to carry, and that when Anaak is truly ready to wield the Green April, she will give it back to her. Anaak is shocked at the thought of losing the Green April, but Yuri adds that she should make sure to show up alongside Bam when the time comes. Walking away, Yuri calls out to Evan to guide her out of the 2nd Floor as Anaak calls out to her wishing for the Green April back.

Back in Khun's lighthouse, Hachuling is left disappointed that he never got to play a part in Yuri's fun. Putting away his hand console, Hachuling waves goodbye to Khun, and thanks him for letting him borrow the lighthouse. However, Khun asks him to wait, and asks what's been on his mind if Hachuling truly is one of the sons of the Khun Family.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_64.jpg
Khun confirms that him and Hachuling are brothers

Hachuling realizes that Khun believes they're brothers, but informs Khun that he doesn't really care about it since he's been away from the Khuns for a long time. Hachuling shows off a white wing symbol on his shirt to point out that he's been away from the family ever since he got it, and asks if Khun wants it. However, Khun replies that he doesn't want something from a person who chose to run away as if he's accepted being exiled from the Khun Family. He informs Hachuling that he will always use the Khun name, and will be sure to use it to become the new Ruler of the Tower one day. Hachuling admits that he will enjoy seeing if his brother can accomplish that, but leaves off with a warning to at least regain control of his lighthouse first, which annoys Khun. Having exited Khun's lighthouse, Hachuling admits that his brother came off cute to him.

Now alone in his lighthouse again, Khun gives off a sigh of relief being glad that the psycho who turned out to be his brother is gone. Khun figures that now would be a good time to return to the Guardian's test, and contacts everyone to return to hunting the Marsh Worms. Thinking that this is all he can do, Khun hopes that Bam makes it out of this alive as well.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_65.jpg
Hwaryun catches Evan's attention

Moving away from Yu Hansung's office, Evan is ordered by Yuri to return to her side. She complains that he needs to hurry since her legs already hurt from all the walking, which annoys Evan that she's whining despite obviously having strong legs. Yuri pokes fun that Evan just called her legs fat, which catches Evan off-guard, and struggles to come up with an apology. It's at this point that Evan spots the Regular, Hwaryun, walking by him. Yuri questions what's been holding Evan up, but Evan remains in silence as he continues to watch Hwaryun continue walking away from him.

A flashback occurs at this point where Bam is seen sitting on the ground playing a game with Rachel. Taking a long time for his next move, Rachel tells him to hurry up. Eventually, Bam moves one of the game pieces, which Rachel surprisingly admits that she didn't see that play coming. Rachel points out that games seem to take longer when Bam is the opponent, which causes Bam to laugh. At this point, Rachel stands up, and tells Bam that they should stop here to continue the game tomorrow, which Bam complains that they didn't finish todays game. However, Rachel informs Bam that she's already told him already about something she needs to do at the moment.

    Bam vs. the Bull

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arc11_66.jpg
Bam's memory of when he asked Rachel why he can't leave his prison with her

Bam asks why she can't do it after finishing their current game, which Rachel answers that she can't. He then asks if he can go with her, but Rachel tells him that he can't since only those who've been chosen can live up there (showing an image of Bam's prison hole that Rachel dropped down from). Giving Bam a hug, Rachel apologizes that even though she wants to, she can't take him with her. She then tells Bam to wait it out awhile longer as she will return later on to play another game with him. Alone again waiting at the bottom of his prison hole, Bam plays around with the little rock pieces from the game he was playing with Rachel. Not finding it fun, he admits to himself that there's nothing he can do alone if Rachel isn't with him.

Returning to the present, Bam looks to his Pocket timer, and notices that there's only a few minutes left for the Net Dolphins to finish pulling his and Rachel's bubble up to their queen to finish the Guardian's test. He looks over to Rachel, and asks how her legs are doing, which Rachel answers that even though she can't walk, they don't hurt anymore. He then states that after the test is over, the two of them should go up the Tower together, and tells her that he's decided to be her legs. Thinking of what to say, Rachel asks Bam if he knows why she wants to go up the Tower, which Bam answers that it's because she wants to see the stars. She then asks another question if he knows why she wants to see the stars, which Bam admits that he doesn't know.

Bam going over the beautiful world that Rachel told him about

Despite not knowing the answer, Bam thinks to himself that the only star he knows of is Rachel. Rachel asks if Bam remembers what she told him in the cave outside the Tower, which Bam answers that he does. That she wishes to be in a world of light and happiness where the people enjoy their lives away from the darkness. Bam states that he dreamt of the day that he could be alongside her when that happens. However, that dream came crashing down when he realized that he wasn't chosen to be a part of the inner Tower. He continues by telling Rachel that despite that, he's here again with her due to turning out to be an Irregular, and admits that the Tower is scarier than he originally thought. However, Bam gives off a smile, and admits that as long as he's with her, everything for him is fine.

Looking away, Rachel informs Bam that he hasn't changed at all, but Bam answers that he had cut his hair, and changed his clothes, since then. Bam also goes over his recent experiences: of how he learned to use shinsu as a wave controller, of how he met some likable people, and of how he experienced the loss of people that were important to him.

Bam and Rachel's bubble take a hit from the Bull's spear

In return, Rachel playfully points out that due to being a crybaby wuss, he still can't do anything himself, which Bam begs her to go easy on him. Bam answers that he's gotten stronger, and gained some muscle, since their days outside the Tower, which Rachel counters by stating that he's still scared of a lot of stuff. Bam denies it, but Rachel decides to drop it at that point.

At this point, Rachel apologizes to Bam. The latter is confused as to why the former is apologizing, but Rachel continues by stating that it's all her fault. Before Bam could question what she's referring to, a giant black spear strikes the bubble that Bam and Rachel are in. Bam looks to Rachel seeing if she's ok after the attack, which Rachel answers that she's fine. In the distance, Bam could see a red eye looking at him, and realizes that the Bull is swimming towards them. He tells Rachel that it will be ok, and states that he will take care of the Bull.

Sticking out his hand towards the location of the Bull, Bam questions if what he's about to do will work. However he reestablishes his thoughts that it has to work in order to protect Rachel. Using the ability that he learned from Quant, Bam begins to gather shinsu inside himself and throws out his hand towards the Bull before the creature could bite down on their bubble. The Bull is left immobilized in place by the freezing shinsu Bang as Bam and Rachel's bubble continues to float up to the Net Dolphin Queen.

Endorsi explains to Shibisu that Bam will need to learn how to attack the Bull

Returning to the location of the Jahad Princesses, Shibisu walks over to Endorsi to check on her injuries after finishing up with Anaak. Endorsi admits that while her guts feel like they're about to fall out, she's fine for the most part, which Shibisu questions how that could be considered a good thing. She then asks why Shibisu isn't heading over to help the other Regulars finish the Guardian's test, which he answers that given who's over there killing the Marsh Worms, he wouldn't be of much help. Endorsi next asks about Anaak, which Shibisu answers that she's more upset about losing the Green April over complaining about her injuries. Shibisu wonders if Bam will be ok with the Bull going after him, which Endorsi answers that she has her doubts. Shibisu complains that she didn't think that beforehand, but Endorsi answers that while she believes that Bam can stop the Bull, he doesn't have a means to hurt it after freezing the creature with Quant's immobilization Bang.

Back to Bam and Rachel's bubble, Bam is surprised to find that he managed to stop the Bull from eating them. Bam figures that his next objective is to form a Bang that would deal damage to it, but the Bang fails due to still being unable to form a second Bang after using the first to immobilize the Bull.

Bam injures his hand fighting the Bull

Now free, the creature gives off a loud roar that frightens Bam, which then begins to swim around the bubble to launch its next attack. Bam uses this moment to think up what he should do next, and decides that his best option would be to attack with a new Bang the moment he releases the immobilization Bang. The Bull swims toward the bubble again as Bam goes with the plan he decided on. He freezes the Bull again, and then releases it to form a new Bang to attack with. However his actions proved to be too slow as the Bull manages to cut open his right hand. Bam falls to his knees in pain as his right hand begins to bleed out. Bam reassures Rachel that he's ok, but he realizes to himself that he can't move his hand anymore. Looking at the Bull circling around for its next attack, Bam is left wondering what he should do next.

Bam thinks back to how the Regulars he's befriended throughout the Floor of Tests are all working hard in the Submerged Fish Hunt test, and states to himself that this isn't a time for him to ruin all their effort that got them all to this point. Standing up, Bam figures that this isn't a time to wait around for help, and claims that he can't be what he used to be as the boy stuck in the prison cave before Rachel found him.

Similar to Headon's 1st Floor test, Bam aims for the Bull's mouth to defeat it

With only the use of his left hand, Bam begins to create a shinsu Bang, and deduces that he only has one chance to hit the Bull. He harkens back to Headon's 1st Floor test, and decides that his only option would be to throw a shinsu attack into the Bull's mouth the moment it tries to eat the bubble.

Charging up a shinsu Bang, Rachel watches as the Bull bites down on the bubble. Still holding the Bang, Bam figures that nows the time, and releases it into the Bull's mouth. The shinsu is fired through the Bull as it begins to float down the wine glass away from Bam and Rachel's bubble until disappearing into the dark abyss. On the opposite side above the bubble, the mouth of the Net Dolphin Queen finally appears to eat its fish meal with the bubble.

With the fight over, Bam falls to his knees needing a moment to rest. Rachel calls out to him to see if he's ok as Bam uses the next moments to catch his breath. He thinks to himself that he was finally able to do something with his own two hands without having to get help from anyone, and that he caught the light that he had always been reaching for from the bottom of his rock prison. Rachel continues to call out to Bam as he states once more that the two of them should go up the Tower together.

Rachel betrays Bam by pushing him out of the bubble

Holding out his hand before her, Bam proclaims that wherever Rachel goes, he will be sure to take her there. Rachel puts out her hand looking to accept Bam's hand, but at the last second, she stands up, and pushes Bam away from her. Confused by Rachel's action, Bam gets a brief look at Rachel, and notices that her legs are perfectly fine.

Rachel states once more that she's sorry as Bam falls out of the bubble. She states that he should be the one that stays here as he begins to fall through the wine glass down to the dark abyss. Desperately reaching up to the bubble, Bam is left questioning why Rachel had done this. He sees the Net Dolphin Queen suck up the bubble with the surrounding fish, and continues to question over and over why this happened. Moments later, it becomes nothing but darkness surrounding Bam.

Last Examination Tropes

  • Arc Villain: Ren and his pet Bull.
  • Big Damn Heroes: The arrival of Princess Yuri, and her company of Wolhaiksong Rankers, can be seen as this for the Regulars in the Guardian's test. Yuri in particular for saving the lives of Anaak and Endorsi.
  • A Day in the Limelight:
    • Sunwoo Nare finally gets a moment in the spotlight where the reader learns about the rare anima Position that Sunwoo turned out to have, which allows Regulars with the skill to be able to control certain animals in the Tower.
    • More time for the Jahad Princesses, Anaak and Endorsi, is seen here as well since there's an entire side-plot going on inside the Guardian's test where Ren is trying to kill them.
  • Call-Back: How Bam defeats the Bull is exactly the way he bypassed Headon's eel for his 1st Floor test.
  • Exposition:
    • Why the Floor of Tests was established is explained here due to what the Irregulars were able to accomplish. Phantaminum with his brutal attack on Jahad's castle, and Urek Mazino creating Wolhaiksong to oppose Jahad's rule.
    • How the Floor Tests work is also explained here where the Guardians of each Floor were the original test givers, but once Jahad's group became established as the Tower Rulers, the means to test Regulars was transferred over to Jahad's empire. However, Guardians still have the overall authority if a Regular wishes to take the Guardian's much harder test, but would need an Irregular within the group to take it.
  • Foreshadowing:
    • There are brief moments where Rachel looks in Bam's direction that makes her look like she has other plans going on. That turns out to be the case once she pushs him out of their test bubble.
    • Even from the arcs before this, there always seemed to be something odd about Hwaryun, which reveals itself in the next arc.
  • Not Quite Dead: Ren does not get killed off here, and that his main body is actually somewhere else in the Tower.
  • Out of Focus: While the Guardian's Submerged Fish Hunt test makes sure to give each of the Regulars a moment in the spotlight, Hatz and Levin don't get to do that much.
  • The Reveal: Yu Hansung is the one behind all the events, such as Hoh's memo, that has been threatening Bam and Rachel.
  • Wham Episode: More like a wham-moment that happens at the very last second of the arc, which is Rachel betraying Bam by pushing him out of their bubble. As a result, Rachel finishes the final 2nd Floor test while Bam falls into the watery abyss.
