The Blood Moon ritual marks the completion of Sebastian’s transformation into Brother Blood, who assumes leadership of the cult. Mother Mayhem declares his power unmatched, and they plan to bring back his father, Trigon. In the wake of Sebastian's transformation, the Titans race to retrieve Traigon's horn, leading them to the quaint - but eerie - town of Caul's Folly.
"Caul's Folly" contains the following tropes:
- The Big Damn Kiss: After standing in separate hotel rooms and clearly yearning for each other, Tim and Bernard finally kiss as the song "Burning" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs plays.
- The Chessmaster: Despite being dead Lex suspected a betrayal from Mother Mayhem has left clues and information to help the Titans find the Horn of Trigon before the Church of Blood does.
- Town with a Dark Secret: Caul's Folly's inhabitants seem unnaturally happy but they are being kept there against their will and the sheriff is their keeper.
- Vanishing Village: Caul's Folly is not on any map, it appears to Kory and Raven, but Tim and Bernard are locked out when the portal vanishes. Once in the town Dick, Kory and Raven find that they cannot leave. The inhabitants tell Raven the town is magic.
