Recap / Titans S 2 E 2 Rose

Go To

Three months after their encounter with Trigon, Dick is hard at work training Rachel, Gar & Jason in Titans Tower. Meanwhile, the rest of our heroes attempt the next phase of their lives. Hank and Dawn retreat to Wyoming, while Donna and Kory are on the move, tracking down a rogue meta-human. However, this new normal is soon disrupted by old threats from the past and the emergence of a mysterious young runaway.

  • Time Skip: The episode takes place three months after the previous one.
  • The Stakeout: Kory and Donna are on this together to capture the criminal Shimmer.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: When Rose crashes through their window, the members of the staff meeting don’t look too shocked when she stands up and walks out of the room.
  • Waking Up Elsewhere: Happens to Rose, she passes out amongst the trash down an alley, to wake up in a bedroom in Titans Tower.
  • We Will Meet Again: Shimmer tells Donna she'll see her again. Donna doesn't agree.

Faddei: Sorry about that your Highness.
  • White Shirt of Death: When Dr. Light escapes from prison, there's a prominent shot of a glowing white ceiling light that's been splattered with blood in the otherwise dark prison corridor.
  • Why Am I Ticking?: Ellis becomes a living bomb thanks to Doctor Light.
  • Women Are Wiser: Averted; surprisingly, Hank is coping with retirement from vigilantism better than Dawn, who's been sneaking out on him for the past month as Dove.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Doctor Light turns Ellis, the kid who Hank had been helping with drug addiction, into a living bomb in an attempt to kill Hank and Dawn.
  • Your Eyes Can Deceive You: Dick has Jason training against Gar while blindfolded, showing them that in a battle anything can be taken from them, their hands, feet or even their eyes.
