Tropes
- Bathroom Breakout: Rachel attempts this at the service station but the window is locked. Then Kory turns up to blast a hole in the entire toilet block.
- Brutally Honest: Dick admits that he was going to leave Raven with Hawk and Dove, because he can't help her. Only she alone could deal with her inner power.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with Dick and Kory rushing to the monastery after seeing it on fire.
- Cool Car: Young Robin steals the Porsche and is delighted to find it can outrace cop cars. He's not happy when Kory steals it as an adult.
- Diner Brawl: Kory gets into one.
- The Faceless: Bruce, moving on from being The Unseen, is now shown from the back or as a silhouette.
- Flashback Echo: In a flashback, we see Dick stealing Bruce's car. In the present, Kory steals that same car, now Dick's.
- Futureshadowing: Young Dick does a Three-Point Landing after jumping out the window when running away from the Wayne mansion.
- Heroic BSoD: Rather than go on a Roaring Rampage of Revenge, Hank seems in shock after Dove is put in hospital.
- Improvised Weapon: Kory stabs a guy in the hand with a fork.
- Irony: As the aforementioned Diner Brawl happens, Rachel is looking from the outside where the diner's Tag Line "It's a nice place to meet new friends" can be seen.
- Kill It with Fire: Kory sets a member of the Nuclear Family on fire.
- Killed Offscreen: Dick is informed that poor Amy Rohrbach didn't survive her encounter with the Nuclear family last episode.
- Rage Against the Reflection: Rachel smashes the window in her cell, but it doesn't work with the shards showing her evil self even levitating out of the frame to speak to her.
- Sealed Evil in a Can: The nuns try to invoke this by locking Rachael up, but underestimate her Superpowered Evil Side.
- Social Services Does Not Exist: Averted. Dick's social worker makes numerous appearances in the flashbacks, trying to get him to stop running away. Although she was silent when Dick explains he's not running away but was searching for whoever killed his parents so he could kill them.
- Video Arcade: Where Dick catches up with Rachel and Kory and Rachel meets Gar.
- Wham Line: After studying the String Theory in Kory's lockup she realises who Rachel is. "She's the Destroyer of Worlds."
- You Have Failed Me: Barely averted with the Nuclear Family thanks to their youngest member.
