The second episode of the third season of Tiny Toon Adventures, and the eightieth overall.
Buster and Babs attend new classes for the semester.
Short One: The Just-Us League of Supertoons - Batduck (Plucky) and Decoy (Hamton) meet Superbun (Buster), Little Dasher (Little Beeper), Hawk Loon (Shirley), Wonder Babs, Aqua Mutt (Byron Basset), Pink Canary (Sweetie), Keen Arrow (Calamity) and Scentana (Fifi) but they are both dismissed. Wex Wuthor (Montana Max) attacks the heroes and Batduck stops him.
Short Two: Sound Off - In this dialog-less short, Buster takes Babs to go to a picnic with all the other toons, when Dizzy comes and spoils it. Buster and Babs get Dizzy in a chase until they trap him in an ink bottle.
Short Three: A Night in Kokomo - In a parody of the Marx Brothers, Susan Writtenhouse III meets up with Dr. Hackensack (Babs) and Chik-O-Lina (Buster) at a hotel to arrange an important bank payment with Mr. Mayonnaise at dinner tonight.
This episode provides examples of:
Overall:
- The Cameo: In the second wraparound, Vinnie the Deer from the "Mr. Popular's Rules of Cool" episode segment, "Venison Anyone?" makes a cameo appearance.
- Credits Gag: Black and white - Is cheaper to paint.
- Shout-Out: In the third wraparound, Concord, Fowlmouth, and Furrball are dressed as Moe, Curly, and Larry, respectively, from The Three Stooges. Also, Calamity Coyote and Little Beeper dress as Oliver Hardy and Stan Laurel.
- Three Shorts
The Just-Us League of Supertoons:
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Despite having powers, the Just-Us League are instantly incapacitated and rendered useless by Wuthor's ray.
- Hypocritical Humor: Superbun calls Batduck "egotistical", when he shallowly looks down on his Badass Normal abilities and cares more about super powers than one's own abilities.
- Laser-Guided Karma: For looking down on Batduck/Plucky and not thinking of his abilities, the Just-Us league get zapped by Lex Luthor/Monty and get their powers taken from them.
- Shout-Out: To the Justice League - more specifically, Plucky is Batman; Hamton is Robin; Buster is Superman; Little Beeper is The Flash; Shirley is Hawkgirl; Babs is Wonder Woman; Byron is Aquaman; Sweetie is Black Canary; Calamity is Green Arrow; Fifi is Zatanna and Monty is Lex Luthor.
- Superhero Episode: Pretty obvious in this segment!
- Superman Substitute: Buster's superhero alter-ego is Superbun, complete with a near-identical outfit.
- Wonder Woman Wannabe: Babs' superheroine alter-ego is Wonder Babs, complete with a near-identical outfit and lasso.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: Monty's plan to absorb the heroes' powers would've worked perfectly, but then he tried that on Batduck, who, based on Batman, is the definition of Badass Normal Crimefighting with Cash, thus has no superpowers to absorb. Monty ended up absorbing Batduck/Plucky's mountain-sized ego, which makes him easier to defeat.
Sound Off:
A Night in Kokomo:
- Half-Dressed Cartoon Animal: Babs doesn’t wear any pants when she portrays Dr. Hackensack.
- Shout-Out: To The Marx Brothers. More specifically, the dialogue about how much they charge for music performances is lifted almost word-for-word from Animal Crackers.
