Go To

The twelfth episode of the second season of Tiny Toon Adventures, and the seventy-seventh overall.

In this parody of Sunset Boulevard, Montana Max must write a screenplay for Elmyra Desmond, a former cartoon star whose fame is faded through time due to the popularity of the new "not-so-cute" cartoons. Well, what do you expect? This is Hollywood.note

This episode provides examples of:

  • Affectionate Parody: Of Sunset Boulevard.
  • Catchphrase: Hamton, in his affected German accent, keeps saying to Monty, "Vipe your feet!"
  • Credits Gag: Moral of the story - Wipe your feet & Miss Elmyra's hair and make-up by: - Floyd the Barber
  • Insistent Terminology: Whenever someone says, "This is Hollywood", some other character insists, "This is the valley, bub!"
  • Plagiarism in Fiction: Monty steals Plucky's script and attempts to pass it off as his own.note
  • Rule of Three: Hamton tells Monty there were only three great directors, "Cooper DeVille, some guy whose name I can't remember, and ME!"
  • Running Gag: Hamton telling people to wipe their feet.
  • Take That!: When Elmyra asks Monty how long a cartoon script is nowadays, he tells her it depends on who you ask; "Ask a writer: 45 pages. Ask a director: about 4."
  • Whole Episode Flashback
