Swordmaster Leafa enters a cave and examines a shrine inside, noting that the Great Seal is deteriorating. A gigantic, slimy monster emerges from the shrine, which she identifies as a member of the darkling race. It attacks her with tentacles, but she slices them up, boasting that there is nothing her sword, Iron Slayer, cannot defeat. The monster uses a spell to trigger an earthquake. She dodges falling rocks and calls it foolish, before realizing it aims to completely destroy the Great Seal, which will allow it to leave the shrine and terrorize the outside world again. She charges and stabs it, declaring its destiny is to be destroyed by her.
In the tower's bathhouse, Niña and Fury bathe with the other women. Sekai freezes time to sneak in, grope, and ogle them all. They return to the tavern and collect their earnings for the mission. Several patrons are skeptical because it takes several days to go to the tower and back, but they had written proof from the freed inhabitants of the tower. Sekai is upset because the timer is still going down. They stay overnight to sleep, and now the timer has roughly 48 hours left.
They eat and Niña pigs out, saying that as a thief, she rarely gets a chance to have big meals. There is a small earthquake, but Fury says it is nothing to worry about. They spend a lot of time in either the tavern or an inn, but there are no more requests. Niña finds Sekai in bed and asks if he is going to do anything. Annoyed, he freezes time to look down her shirt, ranting that there are no events to solve. To make matters worse, the timer only has roughly 3 hours left.
Later, an envoy from the castle comes and explains that the castle's mages traced the epicenter of the earthquake from the other day to a southern shrine where the Great Seal is located. Clau and her party went to investigate it yesterday, but they have not reported back. The King wants to ask Sekai to investigate. Sekai excitedly believes this must be the event to trigger the Stage Clear.
Clau and her party are losing against the monster in the shrine, which they identify as Dark Shoggoth. Their clothes are in tatters because Dark Shoggoth's slime dissolves any clothing it touches. The archer calls it a pervert, but Clau points out the slime dissolves flesh as well; it just takes longer. The entrance to the cave was sealed by falling rocks, trapping them. Sekai freezes time, chips away at the rocks to enter the cave, then ogles and gropes the girls. He attacks Dark Shoggoth with his sword and a spell called Ground Wave, but they have no effect. He wonders what is he going to do.
