The party enters the basement and spies on Lovisa's ritual. Fury realizes she is performing Necromancy, a forbidden art. The gate opens and a ghost comes out and enters the corpse, reanimating it. Lovisa asks the man who he is. He introduces himself as Thomas Bellucci, a shrimp fisherman. He asks where his son, Robert is, then suddenly remembers how he died and starts completely freaking out. Suddenly, more ghosts emerge from the gate and enter his body, causing him to mutate into a creature similar to the one Leafa faced earlier. Lovisa sighs at yet another failure. An army of ghouls emerge from the gate, but Lovisa drops them down the trap door.
Fury explains that the gate is a Nether Gate, a portal to the afterlife. Lovisa is using it for her Necromancy experiments. Leafa says Lovisa's actions are a violation of nature, and now they learned she was the source of the ghouls. Sekai says since Lovisa asked him to deal with the ghouls, in reality, she was asking him to clean up her mess. Leafa says that cleaning up messes is what Braves do, and he is stupid for not figuring that out right away. Angry, Sekai freezes time to grope her.
Niña asks what they are going to do about the creature. They look back and find the two creatures are fighting; the first one is shielding Lovisa from the second one. Leafa realizes the first creature was made from Swordmaster Magnus, and he kept his chivalrous personality even in that form. In a flashback to when she was a child named Leafa Colby, Magnus trained her in swordsmanship, but she quickly surpassed him. He lectured her that she has natural talent, but if she doesn't form bonds with people, she will never be satisfied.
Leafa leaps into the fray and shields the Magnus creature from the Thomas one. Sekai's party asks if she's gone crazy, but she blocks attacks from both of them while slashing at the Thomas creature. While surprised that Leafa is back, Lovisa says Leafa is welcome to get herself killed and starts walking away, but Sekai freezes time. He says Lovisa has done horrible things. He's thinking of evacuating everyone in the city, then having Bahamut blow the entire city up to make sure the Nether Gate is destroyed and all the ghouls are eradicated. He strips her, then notices a piece of paper in her cleavage. It reads, "O Brave Kuzuno Sekai. Please don't misunderstand." Confused, he examines her and is shocked to find another piece of paper in her vagina. It reads, "I am doing everything to protect the world from the King of Darkness." He is even more shocked to find another piece of paper in her butt. It reads, "I made great sacrifices, but it is all the will of the late King." Sekai is aroused and says he doesn't know how to handle this woman.
