After the Driller captures Panthro, Mumm-Ra creates a clone of him to frame him for crimes and ruin the ThunderCats' reputation.
Tropes:
- Back from the Dead: Hammerhead transforms the clone body into his original body, essentially bringing himself back to life.
- No Plans, No Prototype, No Backup: With the destruction of the Panthro mold, Mumm-Ra is no longer able to make Panthro clones.
- Spot the Impostor: Because the Sword of Omens cannot be used to attack Thundercats, it guides Lion-O into attacking the impostor.
- Tempting Fate: After Lion-O defeats the clone, Mumm-Ra says that he can use the mold to create others but Hammerhand's spirit is so upset at his new body's failure he destroys the mold in retaliation.
