Thomas, Percy and Nia have to make a delivery to Wayland on the Mainland. As the the trip will take a couple of days, they have to camp out in the woods overnight, but Percy is anxious.
This episode includes examples of:
- Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: How Percy tries to defend going back for his extra supplies:Percy: But what if we bust a wheel? Or the track breaks? Or we get lost in the woods without a night light?!
- Camping Episode: A little more unconventional than most examples, the trains pull off the tracks and sleep in the woods during their two-day trip to Wayland.
- Catching Some Z's: When shown sleeping at the beginning of the episode, Thomas has “Z”-shaped smoke coming out of his chimney.
- Counting Sheep: As a Car Ride Game (of sorts), the trio counts the sheep they see along the way and it makes Percy sleepy.
- Crazy-Prepared: Percy brings a whole trailer’s worth of stuff with him to prepare for his overnight stay in the woods.Percy: If we’re prepared, we won’t be scared.
- Eye Cam: We see through Percy’s eyes as they open to Thomas and Nia surprising him with a makeshift shed to sleep in.
- And then again when he wakes up in the morning, realizing that he was actually able to sleep through the night.
- Fear Is Normal: When Percy admits to his friends that he’s scared to spend the night somewhere new, Thomas and Nia reassure him that it’s understandable and okay to be scared.
- "Getting Ready for Bed" Plot: This episode focuses on Percy struggling with staying the night in a strange place without being able to do his bedtime routine.
- Immediate Self-Contradiction: Upon crossing Vicarstown Bridge, Percy remarks that there’s no turning back now…and then immediately looks behind him to check on his trailer.
- Loud Gulp: Percy gulps loudly while trying to convince his friends that he’s excited for their campout.
- Morning Routine: Every morning, Percy turns off his night light and his fan, scrubs his wheels, and packs his lucky bell.
- Spooky Animal Sounds: Percy gets scared by all the noises made by the nighttime animals.
- Stargazing Scene: One of the fun activities Thomas and Nia show Percy that they can do in the woods is looking up at all the different constellations.
- Talking in Your Sleep: Nia says “Chugga, chugga, chugga” in her sleep.
- Title Drop: When the trains pull up to their campsite:Nia: Here we are - the overnight stop!
- To the Tune of...: The three friends sing a train-themed campfire song to the tune of “Row, Row, Row Your Boat”.
