Clay narrates how he feels disconnected from reality as he's seen jogging down to the Navy Pier; the site where Bryce's body was found. At home, the Jensens are concerned about Justin and Clay and request that they do a drugs test. Clay's test comes out as positive which causes him to accuse Justin of switching their samples. As neither of them are sure of who's telling the truth, Lainie and Matt Jensen ground both of them. Justin and Clay wonder how their parents know where they are and what they're doing all the time. Clay believes that their phones are being tracked. Justin thinks that Clay is just being paranoid however when Clay asks him why Justin had been to his old neighbourhood, Justin goes quiet. Clay storms off. Justin then calls someone asking if they can meet up.

Later on, the person Justin meets up with is Coach Kerba. The two have met up as Justin explains he's feeling overwhelmed and doesn't know how to continue his sobriety when his parents don't trust him.

Back at school, Tony says that he is having his first professional fight after he receives his certification. Tyler offers to be his cutman whereas Clay asks why Tony's fighting in the first place. Tony just says that he has no choice.

Diego is invited over to dinner by Jessica's father after he notices they've been spending a lot of time together. He states that he doesn't want Jessica to attend the 'Find Your Drink' party; a party designed to work out what your preferred drink is before you leave for college. Jessica's surprised that her dad even knew about the party. However, Luke spreads the word that the party's been cancelled as parents have found out.

At Monet's, the group have gathered to discuss how their parents know about their social lives. Clay explains his theory of them being tracked on their phones. Jessica adds that it's not just their inner circle that appear to be involved as the party was cancelled.

Justin arrives home late that night, waking Clay up. Clay asks him if he remembers when they went to visit Monty in prison. Justin is confused as they never went to see Monty. Clay closes his eyes as if he's about to sleep before opening again suddenly. He's surprised to see Justin is home and that it's midnight. Justin doesn't seem to notice Clay's surprise or the fact that it's dark outside. Clay asks Justin where he's been. Justin says he's been nowhere. Clay says that everyone is going to find out and that the Find Your Drink party was cancelled because they're all being watched by their parents.

The next day at school, Clay asks Cyrus and his friends to help him find a new location for the party but he asks them to use a VPN. Jessica is hanging out with Estela when Winston decides to introduce himself. He tells her that he's planning a memorial for Monty and that she should come. After Winston leaves, Jessica warns Estela to stay away from him. In the hall, Zach tells Alex that he will pick him up for the party at 8pm and they both joke about the kiss on the roof. That night, a student breaks into the school and smashes up the security cameras. Sheriff Diaz talks to one of the officers, Ted about the boxing match and the Find Your Drink party. Ted thinks he can get some information from Tony.

At Monet's the next day, Jessica enters with Diego and goes to order. Justin is working his shift and is annoyed about Jessica's new relationship. When Jessica asks him if he's going to the party, Justin replies that he's trying to stay sober so he won't be going.

At therapy, Clay tells Dr. Ellman that he isn't taking drugs. Dr. Ellman says that Clay seems to be paying a high price for keeping secrets.

During the party, Jessica and Winston are playing a game of Paranoia. Winston says that Jessica's life would be easier if Bryce was still alive to which she drinks in agreement. She then says that Winston is not as smart as he thinks he is. Clay narrates that he's never done drugs however at the party, he's seen smoking weed. When Justin arrives at the party having changed his mind, the two get into an argument over their parents. Justin asks Clay why he lied about the drugs test because it now means that his parents no longer trust him. Clay nastily says that they never trusted him and that's why they asked for a drugs test. He also snaps that his parents aren't actually his.

Outside, the football team are holding their memorial for Monty. They all pour out drinks in his name. Jessica comes outside to see what's happening, however she starts seeing more hallucinations, this time of Monty and runs off.

Tony's boxing match is underway and he's put up against a much bigger fighter. The fight doesn't get a great start, with Tony being severely hit. However, he receives much needed encouragement from Caleb and manages to win. Sheriff Diaz is shown to be watching the fight as well.

At the party, Charlie finds Alex in a separate room watching a movie by himself. They start talking and eating weed cookies before getting closer on the sofa. Alex asks Charlie how he made the cookies. Charlie explains that he learned how to make them when his mother got sick and they helped to ease the pain for her.

Clay sees Zach playing a piano and approaches him. Zach says he was forced to learn to play when he was seven years old and the two start singing. Zach notices a girl staring at Clay from the other side of the room. He gives Clay some advice to help finally get laid. He says if he manages it, Zach will let him drive his Audi. Later on, Clay decides to act on Zach's advice and speaks to the girl called Valerie. They go into another room where Clay loses his virginity to her. They return to the party afterwards when Clay is confronted by Valerie's boyfriend. The two start fighting and Clay begins punching him repeatedly before being pulled off by Zach. He yells at both Diego and Winston that he will end them before storming off.

Zach sees Chloe who tells him that she's doing well and she's planning to go to San Diego State. She thanks him for helping her when she needed it however when Zach goes to kiss her, she rejects him saying that she has a boyfriend.

Diego and Winston discuss how they need to find out what truly happened to Bryce to clear Monty's name. Diego asks if it's true that Monty beat up Winston. He confirms that that happened however it's been taken out of context. He tells Diego that him and Monty hooked up but Monty didn't want anyone finding out. This obviously means that Monty is innocent of murder as they were together that night. Justin meets Tony in his old neighbourhood where they catch Tyler speaking to a driver and handing him a package. Justin recognises the other person as a dealer who specialises in guns.

After the party, Zach allows Clay to drive his car however they're both drunk. They celebrate the fact that Clay isn't a virgin anymore. As he drives, Clay dissociates and speeds up the car to the point they hit a corner and topple over a hill.
