Original Airdate (Twitch): November 7, 2020:

The final episode of the Ravenloft campaign. Sophia has already left for Castle Ravenloft by the time the party returns. But before they can go after her, they learn why Sumer had arrived with wolf wounds, as the Werewolf Alpha has followed them back to Sophia's house...

"Sophia is a strong, independent woman that don't need no bird, but she needs us."

  • And the Adventure Continues: At the end of the campaign, the survivors are still unsure how to leave Barovia, and DM Bosco claims that their story is not yet over. Their story did indeed continue the following year.
  • And This Is for...: When Ray and Calamity fight the rogue that killed Ray's boyfriend/husband Gishath, Ray says it's for Gishath when he deals the killing blow.
  • Back from the Dead: The real Sumer is brought back to life by the party using the True Resurrection components. However, he meets his end yet again during the fight against Zaro.
  • Bittersweet Ending: The party successfully kills Zaro, working together to drive a wooden stake through his heart. Both Kapnos and Grymharl survive their near-death experiences, and Sophia is alive and free...but Calamity and the recently-resurrected Sumer are not so fortunate. Additionally, the survivors are still in Barovia with no clue how to return to their homes.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Almost immediately when the fight against Zaro begins, the vampire uses magic to take control over the Werewolf Alpha, causing him to fight against the party. They snap him out of it, but only after he's already done fatal damage to the real Sumer.
  • Dead All Along: When the party reaches the dungeons of Ravenloft, they find the corpse of the real Sumer still locked in his cell, and learn immediately after that the "Sumer" they were with was actually a Master of Disguise.
  • Didn't Think This Through: The Alpha was not aware at first, but it turns out that the requirements for True Resurrection involve a willing soul, which means that the original plan to make Zaro mortal wouldn't have worked. But at the time this is learned, the option of instead using it to bring the real Sumer back to life is available...
  • Due to the Dead:
    • After finding the true Sumer's corpse and dealing with his fake in the dungeon of Castle Ravenloft, the Werewolf Alpha intends to take the body with him, wanting to give it a better resting place than Ravenloft's dungeons. Kapnos tries to tell him to leave it, not wanting the Alpha slowed down when there are bigger issues to deal with, but then the Alpha convinces the party to use their True Resurrection on Sumer and gain a valuable ally.
    • Following the fight against Zaro, some rites are performed for Calamity and Sumer, and the party takes the bodies out of the castle for a proper burial in the forest. The same cannot be said for the rogue from Ray's past, whose corpse is consumed by Wihakayda after the others leave.
  • Glamour: Zaro, whose story of being the undead Strahd's son was already doubted by people like Sophia and Sumer, turns out to be using an enchanted amulet to keep up appearances. His true form is the Necromancer from Calamity's backstory.
  • History Repeats: The rogue states this when he attempts to kill Calamity, as it will be the second time someone Ray's cared for has died right in front of him. Although she does survive that attack, she's killed shortly after by Zaro, and Ray echoes the rogue's words when the battle is over.
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: During the fight against Zaro, Grymharl uses a Goring Rush to charge into the vampire, ramming him hard enough to break one of her own enchanted horns and leave it in his chest, piercing through him and pinning him to the wall. Later, the combined forces of the rest of the party kill Zaro permanently by driving a wooden stake through his heart.
  • Killed Off for Real: Calamity, already wounded, takes a point-blank Fireball from Zaro that dealt more than their maximum health in damage. This marks the first irreversible death of a PC in any Unexpectables-related stream. Additionally, the real Sumer, who was just recently revived, also fails to survive the encounter with Zaro after holding off his Brainwashed and Crazy Werewolf companion.
  • Kill It with Fire: Infuriated with Calamity attempting to stake him in addition to her surviving in their shared past, Zaro attempts to cast a point-blank Fireball at her. He succeeds, completely incinerating her.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: Sophia comes across as this, having decided to lead the attack and end Zaro's reign once and for all before knowing if her back-up had even survived their mission, let alone if they had found and/or could use the artifact against Zaro. However, considering that her departure was relayed to the party by The Mole, it may not have been entirely accurate.
  • Master of Disguise: The "Sumer" that was with the party was the enemy rogue from Ray's intro in disguise, working for Zaro. It's implied that magic was used, considering that Sumer is a Kenku, and the rogue a human.
  • The Mole: The Alpha's motivation for attacking Sumer is suspecting him of being one for Zaro, whether Sumer's actually aware of it or not. In the end, he was absolutely right.
  • Off with His Head!: Ray kills the rogue that killed Gishath by biting down on their neck and ripping their head clean off with his jaws.
  • Sadistic Choice: The Werewolf Alpha is torn between using True Resurrection to bring back Sumer, his old comrade and an innocent victim, or wait to confirm whether Sophia is dead or alive, or will die in the fight against Zaro, and use it on her. He goes with the former. Ray is a tad upset at first, since this takes away his own choice raised in the last episode, but he recognizes that it's for a greater good.
  • Sdrawkcab Name: The Werewolf Alpha's true name is Sulumor, and the post-game outro confirms that his and Sumer's names are Romulus and Remus written backwards...and for Sumer the Kenku, it doubles as an intentional reference to Remus "Remy" Corbeau, Kenku protagonist from the main Unexpectables series.
  • Season Finale: This is the final episode of the Ravenloft campaign, featuring a climactic battle against Zaro.
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: The Alpha believes that Sumer shouldn't have escaped from the dungeons under Zaro's nose, and might be The Mole. Sumer sticks to his story that he was assisted by the same adventurers that had killed Strahd, and the Alpha is being too brutish in his paranoia. However, the party convinces them to work together for the common goal of saving Sophia. This lasts until the Alpha's suspicions are proven correct.
  • Throwing Your Sword Always Works: In order to get a Wooden Stake from an ally's Bag of Holding close to Zaro without him interfering, Wihakayda uses her longbow to shoot it at Calamity, who perfectly catches it with Deflect Missile.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: The real Sumer isn't properly introduced until right before the fight with Zaro, and he doesn't survive it.
  • Wham Shot: The party discovering the real Sumer's corpse ("The Innocent") in Castle Ravenloft's dungeon, immediately followed by Wihakayda getting stabbed in the back by the "Sumer" they were with.
  • You ALL Share My Story: It turns out that the pasts of those not native to Barovia are incredibly relevant to current events, with the revelation that the evil Rogue from Ray's introduction and the Necromancer from Calamity's backstory are the main villains.
