Go To

American Maid, with great reluctance, teams up with the Tick and Arthur to take down the latest scheme created by infamous supervillain Chairface Chippendale and they do this by infiltrating his birthday party.

Tropes pertaining to The Tick vs. Chairface Chippendale

  • Black-Tie Infiltration: The heroes sneak into Chairface's party as caterers.
  • Deface of the Moon: Chairface Chippendale's plan is to carve his name on the moon with a laser. He makes it as far as "CHA" before the Tick stops him.
  • No Endor Holocaust: Parodied. The Tick considers Good to have triumphed over Evil because they stopped Chairface before he could finish writing his name on the moon, blithely ignoring the fact they didn't stop him from doing significant damage to it.
  • Red Right Hand: Most of the crooks gathered for the party have some kind of, er, unusual physical characteristic that they're usually named after. And of course Chairface himself has... a chair for a face.
  • Required Secondary Powers: When the heroes are wrapped in a chain together, the Tick tries to bust free, which he's easily strong enough to do. However, he's stopped by the fact that he couldn't do so without crushing Arthur and American Maid - their regular-human bodies would break before the chains did.

Tick: A heart of gold beats under that fiberglass crossiant, Arthur. And thank goodness for it. It's spirit like hers [American Maid] that allowed us to thwart Chairface's evil scheme, and thwart we did!
Arthur: I... guess so.
Tick: Say, what's that...? (licks his thumb and wipes Arthur's goggles) You got a little... some kind of yuck there.
