Moseby's older brother Spencer stays at the Tipton. Moseby has been ostracized by him since childhood, but soon discovers that his brother is bankrupt. Moseby tries to help him by giving him a job at the Tipton. Meanwhile Zack and Cody save their money to buy a single bike, which they must share. Zack ends up using the bike more than Cody, even though Cody put up most of the money. While elsewhere, Maddie and Esteban take it advantage of London’s gullibility in she believing her horoscopes by emailing her fake ones.
Tropes:
- Exact Words: London tells Maddie and Esteban that they can to the "Fireman's Ball" in her place because of one their fake horoscopes. At end of the episode, London appears in front of them dressed as fireman and telling them she’s going to "have a ball" as she sprays them with foam.
- Hypocritical Humor: Due one of her fake horoscopes, London dresses up in a bunny suit. Maddie then tells London to start hopping which she does, then Esteban tells her to rub her own feet if she needs luck, but she tells that would make her look silly, before starts eating a carrot.
- Laser-Guided Karma: In the episode Maddie and Esteban take advantage of London’s gullibility for believing her horoscopes, when the latter discovers this she gets revenge on them by saying they would be going to the Fireman’s Ball, then she sprays them with foam while she is dressed as a fireman.
- Punctuated! For! Emphasis!:Cody: Don't. Touch. That. Bike.
- The Resenter: Mr. Moseby really dislikes his older brother for always one-upping him in everything. Cody was well on his way to becoming this trope, but chooses to talk it out with Zack so he avoids the same fate.
- Shadow Archetype: When confronting Zack on how he always treats him poorly, Cody points out that he's talking to him now because he doesn't want to end up like Mr. Moseby: bottling up his resentment towards his older brother until it festers into hatred. Even Zack is a bit worried at the very idea of Cody actually hating him.
