An Animated Adaptation of The Smurfs comic book collection of one-page gags called "Romeos And Smurfette" (original French title Romeos et Schtroumpfette), with a bit of "Smurf Vs. Smurf" (original French title Schtroumpf Vert et Vert Schtroumpf) thrown in.
In the story, Papa Smurf sees that it's the first day of spring, and that his little Smurfs are feeling the desire to marry Smurfette. Papa Smurf decides that he might as well try to persuade Smurfette to marry him instead. During the story's events, Gargamel plants a flower out in the forest that entrances Smurfette and makes him do his bidding, and while she was under the influence, she picks Handy and Hefty as dueling love interests, resulting in a village-wide Ship-to-Ship Combat. When Papa Smurf is unable to stop the war by himself, he gets Gargamel to reluctantly help him by magically swapping appearances with each other. However, Gargamel as Papa Smurf uses this as an opportunity to capture all the Smurfs by finding the spell in Papa Smurf's laboratory that restores his true form and Papa Smurf's. As he chases the Smurfs out into the forest, he runs into a confused Azrael who attacks him, thinking that it's Papa Smurf appearing as Gargamel. The Smurfs flee to the village during this distraction, and Gargamel finds himself not being able to find his way back to the Smurf Village. By the end of the story, Smurfette declares that she is too young to think of marriage and that she loves her fellow Smurfs equally, which makes her fellow Smurfs happy, though Papa Smurf goes into his house to do workouts and to say to himself that there's always next year.

- Weirdness Censor: When the Smurfs capture Papa Smurf posing as Gargamel after a "Freaky Friday" Flip and stake him down, they refuse to believe that he is actually Papa Smurf despite the fact that he is clearly speaking to them in Papa Smurf's voice. Since this scene was actually adapted from the comic book story "Smurf Vs. Smurf", it's obvious that the attempt to translate this mistake in knowing who's actually in the appearance of Gargamel did not work as well as it did in the comic book, where even Hefty without his tattoo mark in the comic book version of "King Smurf" had trouble convincing his fellow Smurfs who he actually is.
- This problem is fixed in the French and Spanish dubbing, where Papa Smurf and Gargamel's voices we're in the same versa of their bodies rather than swapped.
