While on a cruise in the South Pacific, the gang meets a scientist and his time machine, only to witness the arrival of a bug-like monster from 6984 when he demonstrates it.
This episode includes examples of the following:
- Help, I'm Stuck!: When the gang tries to get into a room with the door locked, Daphne gets her butt stuck in some life preservers.
- Daphne: Jeepers. Get me loose.
- Scarecrow Solution: Shaggy somehow finds the Future Creature costume and uses it to fake out the real crooks.
- "Scooby-Doo" Hoax: The time machine itself is fake, and the monster is just a costume used to steal money from the would-be investors.
- Time Machine: Professor Von Klamp claims to have invented one, only for it to bring a creature from thousands of years into the future onto the ship.
