Nolan deals with a woman who murdered a teenager and talks a woman off a suicide jump after her failed wedding. Nolan and Talia find a kidnapping victim and struggle to rescue another person held by her captor. Talia attempts to gauge whether or not Nolan has the wherewithal to be able to handle dealing with these kind of issues all the time. Lucy is placed with a new training officer who is lazy, unlike her previous handler.
West struggles with the fact that his superiors don't believe he is tough enough for the job.

- It Gets Easier: Talia says this is not the case and that Nolan has to steel himself against the job.
- Mood Whiplash: A hilarious meth addicted prostitute is picked up by Nolan and Talia before she confesses to killing a teenager.
- Monumental Damage: The bride attempts to commit suicide by jumping off the Hollywood sign.
- Pay Evil unto Evil: Nolan beats the kidnapper and rapist horribly for what he'd done.
